Nice. Far more detailed than i expected. If you have any questions just shoot em over
I plan to make it even more detailed as we progress. But thank you!
I've heard this requested enough, and tried to do one of my own. I'm glad you're taking initiative on a project with value.
Guten Nacht
If you have any questions at all, or the server isn't functioning properly, please feel free to message me. I'm about to drive, so I'll be home in maybe 40 minutes, I can help you then.
Why no religious books
@Deleted User all IE rules are the same here. No divisive subjects. We have specific servers for specific religions. Post your religious books there.
Baring NS/Religous texts you're minimizing quite a lot of rightist texts.
Even 'For My Legionaries' wouldn't be postable with those standards. And it's an important piece to our movement.
@Deleted User these rules are not set by me, if you have a suggestion, be sure to contact leadership.
Roger.
What up, let's read some frickin books
@CarletonJ Can you add a channel for us to shill our Goodreads accounts so we don't need to spam general?
Nathan has an account btw
@Deleted User Shall we read poems to each other?
Thanks
@CarletonJ so what's the plan with this? Are there going to be multiple books being read at a time and we just pick a group/subject and participate in that reading schedule?
I considered that idea, but thought it would be too much of a hassle. We could definitely start some kind of reading club. But the main plan with this server is for members to post beneficial books in the specific categories for other members to benefit from them as well.
The IE Official Reading List will be a list compiled of books suggested by leadership. This is still being worked on.
TIR stands for Today I Read - you can honestly post anything informative here.
@everyone
If you guys have any suggestions on how we could improve this server, do not be shy to DM me.
We could use the "Book of the Month" to post a book we could all try to read that month, and discuss it.
Book of the Month would get me to increase my reading. I often read sporadically, 2-3 books in a row over a few weeks and then nothing piques my interest for months.
It's a great idea.
How do the subject specific channels work?
Are they just for posting books, or discussion too?
This is gonna be the big brained nibba server
@Jacob the channels are for just posting books, the general chat in those categories can be used for discussion, or you can use the overall general chat on the server.
Try to subject them the best you can, doesn't have to be perfect.
If you have any questions, I could try to help
@Jacob we were just talking about this!! I think we should pretty much just claim this was our idea...
lol ya I actually did suggest the creation of a literature server a few weeks ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few other people came to the idea independantly
I don't really care who gets credit as long as it's for the good of the organization
Nope. This was us. And only us. Lol
Yeah, I'm just kidding around.
If we have a book we wish to reccomend with a pdf of the book, are we allowed to send the pdf as well?
I really like this idea though. Great plan. Nothing helps red pill the normies like a big, educated brain.
I think the most credit should go to Carleton since he had the agency to finally make the server
Fun fact: the whitepill channel on the main server was my idea
I've been asking for this server for a super long time! I've seen others posting about it as well, absolutely
Yeah, hats off to you, @CarletonJ.
I'm excited for this.. Thanks.
@Temujen PDFs are copyrighted material. Feel free to send them in DMs but for the most part, try to avoid posting them here.
Usually copyrighted material I should say. If it's not, post it!
@Temujen I'm excited as well. We just have to get everyone contributing and it will be a major success!
Is there a restriction on the subjects or content we can recommend outside of things that violate national rules?
Because if not I'ma dump some good books.
@StrawberryArmada if you're concerned about a book, you can message me. If I don't know, I'll message leadership. The only restricted books are posted in announcements. Anything divisive, like religion, and no NatSoc posting for obvious reasons.
Unless you get the okay from leadership.
I just wanna put up some good sci-fi type stuff mostly.
Also, carnifex (the band) is lit fam
You can absolutely post those!
I will add a sci-fi section in fiction
Someone else thought my name was a ref to the deathcore band (but they hate them)
I liked them. That was my childhood haha
Is it possible to post a book that critiques natsoc (and communism) it is by French *New Right* author Alain de Benoist
Since we have members that politically identify as NatSoc, I think I would say no as it could be divisive.
I could ask leadership, if you'd like.
We can post criticism of democracy though despite members identifying as republican (in the general sense not the party)
I think the majority, if not all, are currently questioning democracy. But I see your point.
I will message leadership and get back to you
@CarletonJ thanks this is easily the most exciting of the new channels for me.
Awesome!! I'm glad you like it. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
Does anyone know a good way to find cheap books online?
It would be cool if I could just load up a whole list and get price alerts on Amazon
@Jacob I've heard paperbackswap is a good site to trade used books with others
HuWhite Lives Matter.....MORE.
How do I recommend a book
@NeoRealist read announcements section on this server, if you still have questions, DM me.
No Psychology section.
@Wotan Reborn added
Thanks
How long should we give people to read the book we choose? I was thinking anywhere between 5-10 pages a day. That way if the book is say 300pgs, it'll only take us a month or two tops to finish and wouldn't stress people out who cannot always find time to read.
@CarletonJ i think 10pgs/day is good
would be nice if we could do a vote on the 1st book
it would also be nice if there are free PDFs available if those were posted
i have "Why We Fight" on PDF
If The PDFs aren't copyrighted, you can post them.
There's a vote going right now for the first book we choose in <#395779687391035395>
thanks
No problem!
can you please make a 'real estate' section under business. i have a few i'd like to post
Absolutely. Thanks for the suggestion.
Are there any book suggestions yet?
anatomy of fascism
@Deleted User yes there are many. Expand the categories to reveal several channels where books are being recommended.
I think Ann Coulter "Adios America" would be a good book to read.
It's a very good introductory book
I think we need to move on to more advanced books, however, it might be a good idea to occasionally read books like Adios America so you know how to talk to conservatives
Any good places for ebooks?
Amazon is fine I think
They have some redpilled books
Lol๐
