Ya not easy, likebi said more advanced. That's an understandable as you want the best for her. If you can try to get her more interested in seeing other family, that helps some. At least she does games thats good, helps keep the brain active
I should also state my dad is in the beginnings of Alzheimer's, so we started him on meds 2 months ago and it has kept it stalled for now.
Try to find something she is interested in that might pique her interest. I at least tried with my dad. Hopefully your mom, likely much younger, you can find something that might help get her curious..
See if she would want to do any volunteer with something she likes or if there is grandkids activities, that usually helps make them smile and gets them interested at least some i have found.
Maybe board games? Card games?
She says she has no time... but she does nothing all day. It is bizarre.
Lol ya i know ...it makes no sense..
There must be something that still peeks her interest, you just have to find it,hopefully
What about Painting Ceramics or something? Any old hobbies she might like to try to pick up again? Knitting, anything?
Or what about possibly finding some old friends of hers?
My dad has moved away from where we grew up,so that's not really there. He used to be very social too,not anymore though. He also used to sit out in livingroom with us,now he won't except for occasionally here n there like when we come back from a doctor appt or family gathering, rtc.
And unfortunately he won't respind to my Aunt Monique's letters or bd cards anymore,he didn't want to go to his brother's funeral back in January, which i tried to understand but it still hurt. He lived with them for a few years before moving in with us,also prior to him driving with his trailor around the us. So he has really with drawn alot,he used to be part of "Escapes" trailer group for older folks,so.. used to love traveling..
I wish you the best. Maybe you can find some older new friends she might like to get to know, that may help..
Thanks. My dad is retiring this year. I hope more frequent vacations and maybe a move to the city will help her. But as a son I can't force her to make necessary lifestyle changes.
Your welcome. Yes i bet once they get to do more vacations when he retires,it will help change her outlook and bring her out of her hole. Unfortunately its its something she has to want to do,but as her son,you do care and want her happy. Until then, maybe talk to your dad and see if there is something he can help suggest too,ya never know.. Hang in there ๐๐คโค
Congratulations @missliterallywho
!!!
> She says she has no time... but she does nothing all day.
This is my boomer mom exactly.
I've once read of playing music on an instrument being shown to delay the onset of Alzheimer's?
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4354683/
Although here it says it only applied to people with 10 or more years of active experience, your Boomer mom better get started soon haha.
Oh and also dementia
I purposely play my music loud when getting ready sometimes and walk by his room with phone in hand,to see if it helps...most times i think he just tunes it out, like he tends to do alot lately with most everything else...
My dad is such a good man and has always kept up with fitness hoping to enjoy retirement with mom. Now it seems he will caretake her just as he did his own mother. Quite a sad state of affairs.
I'm sorry, definitely not easy...
I posted this in the national servers general chat but Iโm going to repost it here as well. Iโve had the idea of writing non degenerate childrenโs books for a while now, and recently I reached out to Arktos to see if this would be something theyโd possibly publish and they said yes! If you have ideas in regards to this or want to help however you can please feel free to message me!
@Grossly Incandescent Retard/lazy-bum question but who's/what's Arktos?
@Mikolas They publish right wing books
Arktos publishing is /our publisher/
Their motto is making anti globalism global
Ugh don't have the red and white pill emotes when ya' need em lol.
Lol
But that's great news!
But how great would it be to read books to our kiddos that we all had a hand in creating?
Especially in this day when gender non conforming bs is being shoe horned into childrenโs literature
For starters, how about a tale about a kid running away from his forest tribe to another, (he did something bad and got rejected/shamed, idk) finding out he doesn't feel at home with a different people, and returning back to his loving family and accepting responsibility for his actions?
Or a her
idk
but theres a good theme/plot/motto there lol
Yeah, we can express our ideas without making it super explicit. Like little dude explores the world, meets peoples from all over and experiences their countries, but in the end is happy to return home to his family
Also just presenting the right role models on nonfiction educational books would be a good place to start. Most top-tier powerlifters are white, for example.
Tesla is an embodiment of the Faustian spirit
Heck, do a kids book on the Faustian spirit, but that might be a lil' too explicit for the time being haha.
I believe I'm capable of the writing involved, but probably not the art.
(in general for any kids' book project.)
how about a book about how the majority white San Francisco populace helped each other during the 1906 earthquake?
Voyageurs and Mountain Men are always interesting as well as Cowboys.
Maybe books with youth narrators / main characters that witness/participate in historic events. Like an expedition of Louisiana territory, or Captain Cook's voyage?
Also is the publishing process with Arktos based on royalties from sales or is there an initial fee involved? In other words, would crowdfunding from IE members be useful?
I havenโt discussed with them funding the project, but when we get to that point I was planning on reaching out to the IE higher ups about being the initial investors
He was one of the first people I reached out to about this! He does such great work for IE Iโd love for him to be a part of this project
It is very needed. I sat down to read my niece a book that her mother (my sister) had never looked at. Basically it was a very clumsy allegory for bisexuality, (it's about a unicorn that likes to "party" with both narwhal and unicorns).
I know it sounds paranoid but I guess you had to be there
I believe it, Iโm just surprised they tried to work the agenda in subtly. Most of the ones Iโve seen are as subtle as a brick
There's a bookstore in Berkeley that specializes in "feminist" children's books
Owned by two women (husband and wife) and they have weekly readings for kids
I believe in all of our Identitarian parents! Thank you for all you have and will do!
@TV drop address I wanna go visit that
I looked them up just now and they went out of business lol. I walked past it once last year and there was a sign out front that said "educate your kids about gender." Messed up place. @YourFundamentalTheorum
Kek tfw capitalism works
"If I have a female lawyer in front of me these days - and it doesn't matter how much she has achieved - and next to her is a mother of five, six, seven children, and they are in great health and well-educated by her ... From the point of view of the lasting value of our people, the woman who is able to have children, has children, and raises them - and thereby gave our people the ability to live in the future - has achieved more. *She* has done more."
@Tanner - SC amen
@Tanner - SC I know exactly who said that and Antifa knows too
Visited the OB today with the Mrs. Baby is in the head down position! Home stretch!
Wife sent me this today, very sad stuff
Poor lad. Hopefully a wake up to white people. I am no theologian, but it is my understanding that Christ brought the new covenant. If pork is acceptable than you sure as heck don't have to make blood sacrifice anymore.
Iโve honestly gotten dead eyed stares from friends and family when I tell them Iโd never circumcise my son.
@Grossly Incandescent NPCs... But I have hope once an NPC not always one.
My Wife is a PA and this is one of those topics that she is against me on. I am standing my ground though once we have a son.
^^ Wife is a nurse and we had it out about this as well. When we found out our #2 was going to be a boy, we circled back around and had the arguments again. I won and we left him uncircumcised.
Ultimately she was fully swayed when she asked a pediatrician friend who actually performs circumcisions. He told her that there is no reason for doing it unless for religious reasons or you live in the 3rd world.
I told her the same thing. They basically brain wash these medical professionals to do it for no reason other than looks and cleanliness.
It really raises my blood pressure.
Exactly. But the foreskin doesn't even separate until they're older, so there's not even a need to clean anything until he's almost in puberty.
Exactly. It is genital mutilation.
We had some heated arguments as well, it actually really put a strain on the marriage
I bet. So far she just says "We aren't having this convo right now"
Honestly, if it comes down to it, you have every right to pull the veto card. Just tell any doctor, nurse, aid, whatever that you do not consent to circumcision in any way and that if they so much as give your boy's weiner a second look, you'll sue them.
No doctor will touch him if both parents aren't in agreement.
I doubt it will go that far but I will hold that card for my check mate.
She and I just need to sit down and have the convo. It has always been off the cuff comments when a friend talks about it or something random.
Moly actually did a really good video on it, it got my wife to at least question the necessity.
Cool I will check it out.
Great video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLmU6xTdeTI
Thanks I was just looking them up on YT.
Vaccines are a whole other issue.
Vaccines are a dicey topic, am not anti-vax, but I think they give them a lot of unnecessary stuff. I don't let them do flu vaccines and other random stuff.
And not all at once.
They'll try and give them hepatitis shots minutes after the kid is born. Tell them no and that the pediatrician can give them the shot if needed.
I believe it's hepB, not sure though. But it's something that is primarily spread sexually, so it's absurd that they try and give it to newborns
Yeah I am going to make a list of the vaccines that I will allow prior to having a child.
This was one of the ways I was first red pilled was vaccines and all the chemicals in food/water/air/clothing etc
I started down a similar path lol
AJ and Red Ice were the reasons I am here. I know AJ would hate that lol
Haha, I was mostly an economic libertarian, so I was big on Molyneux, Tom Woods, etc, but I enjoyed AJ. I was a big Cantwell follower as well, and ultimately ended up getting redpilled while he was.
What was described in that article is extremely rare, but that alone is worth not having circumcision done. That is one unlucky lottery you don't want to "win."
Haha, @missliterallywho. I suppose consider it a blessing, as having the opposite problem would not be good.
@missliterallywho my wife puts a burp cloth over her chest between feedings. Itโs not perfect but it cuts down significantly on the spillage.
@The Huwhyte Ulf - VA we have three boys. all uncut. all fine. never once had any issue with it! they may not" look like dad', but who cares! Dad will talk to them about it if he ever needs to, and let them know why we didn't have that terrible thing done to them!
I feel the same way. Itโs just convincing my wife to see that itโs unnecessary and cruel.
@The Huwhyte Ulf - VA show her a video of how they do it. That settled it with my wife.
If you lost a finger at the factory would you chop your sons off so he looks like dad?
There is not a single argument for it.
Hers comes from a medical perspective of it could get infected if you dont do it. I say instead of cutting some part of my son off just teach him to clean himself properly.
So much easier and less stress for the child.
@The Huwhyte Ulf - VA there is no issue with cleaning. There is no medical reason to do elective cosmetic surgery on an infants genitals. Zero stress. They self clean like female genitalia. In fact until they are older you should not even be messing around around in there. You can really hurt a little guy if you retract his for skin to clean before it separates on its own.
The American Association of Pediatrics does not recommend circumcision although they are mealy mouthed about their rejection of it. The WHO also does not recommend it. I donโt really care about either but if you need authorities to back your choice itโs out there.
@The Huwhyte Ulf - VA She is talking about smegma, I have only seen that in 3rd world patients who do not properly clean themselves. It's nearly impossible for smegma to build up if you shower regularly.
My wife is being induced tonight! ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง
@Grossly Incandescent Congrats and good luck!
Congratulations! Hang in there & Good luck tonight! @Grossly Incandescent
Good luck @Grossly Incandescent !
24 hours at the hospital and weโll probably be here another 24 ๐
Stay Strong & Hang in there!
Thanks @celticflame! Wifeys doing great, the fun part hasnโt even begun yet!
Hahahahah!!!!๐๐๐
@Grossly Incandescent good luck brother!
Congratulations ! @Grossly Incandescent Glad you & your wife are enjoying that precious Bundle of life!
Baby girl born at 12:18 am, 9lbs. 4oz. 21.5 inches long. Momma did great, and I was stressed as hell the whole time lol!
Grats!
@Grossly Incandescent congratulations bro
@Grossly Incandescent congrats!
How common is the โreverse sleep scheduleโ? The wee one barely slept a wink last night but this morning sheโs very peaceful
<@&503234823222198282> ^^^
Good to know. Fortunately the wife and I have quickly adapted to a sleep schedule consisting solely of random naps
I was honesty surprised how much energy Iโve had despite the lack of sleep
Breastfeeding and learning to nurse baby while sidelying is ๐ very helpful. A supervised co sleep nap can be really great for a mom first thing postpartum. I requested supervision bc I felt so weak and deranged after birth
Congrats! @Grossly Incandescent
๐
Thank you @Volkmom!
Welp, it happened, I got pooped on while changing a diaper ๐ฉ
I feel like Iโve completed a sacred rite of passage
Is that the parent equivalent of getting blooded?
๐ณ
Today I learned that some babies get acne
Does anyone have any experience with outdoor schooling or forest kindergarten?
@Prestor John I taught at an outdoor / environmental education camp for two years. 3rd-9th grade groups would come for a few days and do science, skill, or adventure classss. Sometimes older and younger but usually 3rd-9th.
Good advice from big, American nationalist castizo.
Really great stuff in the video, thank you for sharing @Wood-Ape - OK/MN, I had never heard of these guys before
@Grossly Incandescent Garcia ("master chim") is a smart guy
<@&503234823222198282> thoughts on vaccines?
Primarily the annual flu vaccine
๐๐ป
๐๐ป
๐ we are on a delayed schedule for big vaccines, skipping the dumb ones like chickenpox (but actively looking for it in the wild) and never doing flu. Even if you think itโs a good idea, this yearโs flu vaccine will have the same efficacy rate as not getting it. They picked the wrong strains.
Not a parent but it was surreal back in 2015, working at a pretty expensive west coast summer camp and there was a *rubella outbreak*
Not shilling for pharma or CDC. Just surreal...
Iโm certainly aware of the benefit certain vaccines have had, but Iโm also wary of others. Donโt want to go all tin foil hat on everyone but just the thought of my kid being injected with all that shit is driving me up a wall, especially as the date nears when sheโs supposed to start getting them.
I need to look at the vax schedule again and do some more research on them
@Prestor John what are the โbig vaccinesโ?
@Grossly Incandescent MMR is a biggy. Measles is bad news. Hep B vaccine is fake news. How can an infant contract hep b?
My wife is the expert though I just listen to what she says on this matter.
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN what happened at the camp? Was everyone ok?
@Prestor John three kids got rubella who hadn't had it. We think an unvaccinated kid gave it to some other unvaxxed.
I don't think the kids passed away. But they were removed.
One or more may have been vaxxed. The vaccines are not even close to 100% effective.
@Prestor John I see. The carrier that transmitted may have been vaccinated without symptoms.
The reason I suspect more than one youth in the equation was unvaccinated is that it was a very hippy camp in the PNW
Although vaccine-skepticism is one of those rare interesting areas where far right and far left agree. *horse shoe intensifies*
The far left and far right tend to agree on what the problems are, just not the solutions @Wood-Ape - OK/MN
@John O - true
We recently had some families over for brunch. All the wives are part of a parenting group online. Pretty hippie divvy stuff including vaccine skepticism, natural revenues, coskeeping etc. I assumed I would be the odd man out but only one of the dads was a shit lib and the others were mostly on the Tucker train.
Hippy/Trad solidarity now! lol
@Prestor John Choo choo!
MMR and tdap seem good.
Flu shot not needed.
^ idk about MMR
Maybe if you separate the different aspects and spread them out.
Also you f your kid has the MTHFR mutation you should be aware that it is linked to adverse reaction to vaccines and heavy metals in general. Signs of the mutation are:
a stork bite on the back of her neck (nevus simplex or salmon patch) โ get it? thatโs where the stork carriers the baby to you
a stork bite on the eyelids or forehead, although many people call it an angelโs kiss in these locations
a sacral dimple
a tongue-tie
any facial dimples
a strawberry hemangioma
a prominent blue vein on the bridge of her nose
Just opened YouTube on my phone and was suggested a video related to the flu. I havenโt typed โfluโ in months, it must know what I typed here.
That video popped up on my suggested videos this morning also: itโs what started me down this rabbit hole
@Prestor John my kid has a huge stork bite
Itโs only gotten larger and brighter since I took this picture a few weeks ago
@missliterallywho we were big on dr seats but he is pushing hpv vaccine which makes us suspicious.
@Tanner - SC Iโll do you one better. I was talking about how the groves in my tongue are getting more pronounced, than I went to google it. Typing โGroovโ auto populated โgrooves in tongueโ as the top result.
There is zero credible evidence to suggest that vaccines are harmful except in cases where the immune system is so weak that the vaccine itself gives symptoms. That said, some like the annual flu vaccine are unnecessary. Please don't let your kids get polio though
My qualms were never with the โvaccineโ itself, more with all the other crap that gets injected with it. Heavy metals like aluminum; Iโm no expert but I just donโt understand the need for that in my tiny little babies bloodstream
In related news a whole bunch of our greatest allies dont vax either
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.haaretz.com/amp/.premium-more-parents-refusing-to-vaccinate-1.5273106
The typhus outbreak in LA is a prime example of that
Unfortunately, it can't always be avoided. Even in a place as white as Montana, your neighbors might catch something on a trip to Disneyland or something
@TMatthews what about kids with the mTHFR mutation? My wife claims this increases risk of adverse reaction to the heavy metals in vaccines.
Do you guys do Santa? Iโm not keen on lying to the kids but Santa is trad.
@Prestor John Saint Nicholas was a real person, it would be weird to make St. Nick the main focus of the entirety of Christmas, but the real Saint Nicholas has had a role in winter holiday celebrations for over a thousand years at this point. It's not as flash-bang as Coca-Cola Santa but the more real version St. Nick is not totally alien or weird to the culture either. http://www.ncregister.com/daily-news/st.-nicholas-reveals-the-true-spirit-of-giving http://www.stnicholascenter.org/pages/gift-giving/
I will not tell my future children that Santa is real. I still have a chip on my shoulder about being lied to as a kid about that and other things.
@Tanner - SC I felt that way too before red pilling. There is something about tradition that is now appealing. I plan to answer questions with questions. Dad is Santa coming to our house? I donโt know son what do you think? I wonโt squash dreams or fantasies but I will not lie or pass my authority to a coke a cola ad. I think @ThisIsChris โs Suggestion of Telling the story of ST nick is going to fit in as well.
Most of tradition does not involve lying to children. They place a tremendous trust in parents to tell them the truth because thatโs all they have to go on. I wonโt take advantage of that power disparity.
@Tanner - SC see i disagree about that, but maybe because ur parent came out and said he wasnt real when u were young? I dont know. But for me we were raised beliveing in Santa and it was great. Eventually we figured it out and it didnt effect us me or my sister
And as we got older we would still put from santa on present s to our parents now and then.
Guess it was kinda fun to keep playing along.
Same here @SuperTomPerry -RI We still continue to put from Santa on certain presents & the kids all know this and are also carrying on the tradition.
It also just meant that we knew that present was extra special in its own way too.
Has anyone had experience with Freedom Project Academy for home schooling?
What are your Thoughts on Thomas the Train Engine: Consumerist BS or Trad hierarchy lesson?
Before or after the refugee trains?
I grew up on Thomas! Always loved it, hate how theyโre trying to shoe horn multi culti trains into it as of late. Having the old school wooden tracks that can be put together really made me interested in machines and construction as a little boy, so that can be a positive take away if anything
@Prestor John As @Grossly Incandescent said, I was a huge fan of Thomas the Tank Engine as a kid. That being said, there is clearly a full-on infiltration campaign going on at any PBS and PBS-like show. While ideally kids wouldn't need characters, realistically speaking I know that's such a thing (I don't know if it's biological or not) but what I'll be doing is eskewing any 19th-21st century characters from Western countries. So for our kids it's going to be a combination of things like Aesop's fables, plus possible East Asian based characters like Mario. East Asian countries are likely to resist the homosexual-industrial complex better than Western ones.
Iโve not seen any ethnic trains except the mechanic. Maybe we only have the old ones.
Thereโs is are dope and the boy loves them. Iโm building a train table for Christmas.
Few things capture ye olde "faustian spirit" better than a steam engine hollaring its way through an impassable cliff face in the mountains with a thousand tons of cargo in tow.
@Prestor John ethnic trains:
My friend's sister is very pregnant right now and is bored and asking for podcasts
Is there anything that promotes our ideas a bit that would be appealing to a fairly apolitical soon to be mother?
Dan Carlin's hardcore history. Select Myth of the 20th Century Episodes.
Helicopter Mom @Jacob
I watched this twice in a row in summer school because I was very bad at studying for math
๐
Donald Duck in mathamagic land.
such a great video
We had it on VCR
I have a question, stepdaughter is having hard time with potty training 1 of her boys,my grandson. Any suggestions? He won't go 2 in the toilet.
Sticker chart, small prizes, candy, etc
They have tried that, still having trouble. The other boy was no problem & younger. But her older 1,he just is being difficult.
She has even gone on a mommies facebook potty group with no luck.
He had to have suppository before and don't want to have to resort to that obviously.
Consistency and finding motivators is my suggestion.
That's what i was telling her, guess they need to just find the right 1. So will work on,just trying to see if others knew of something they had dealt with that might help.
Thanks though!
Good luck!
Thanks๐
Hey Everyone. I am desperate right now when it comes to my 15 month daughters health. Long story short she had an adverse reaction to her vaccinations at about 6 months old. 2 day near coma. Stopped looking me in the eyes while feeding her week after week month after month, weakness, 0-10 frustration. Development very slow, constantly sick. Started walking about a year but usually sick unable to even crawl, roll over or sustain any energy she has very long. Turns out the GI thinks she has Celiacs Disease which makes sense has all the symptoms. I am just at the end of my rope. All tests came back negative so they need to do an endoscopy. The next appointment isnt for a few weeks. We are at the doctors/ER a few times a weak for 3 months. . She is male nourished lost 3lbs down to 19lbs. Vomiting and diarrhea are a regular thing even on a strict diet. Doctors want us to continue gluten to make sure they can confirm Celiacs in a few weeks or month. Ive been pursuing eastern medicine as well. I am just desperate trying to find any help I can get, thanks. @everyone
Traditional diets with bone broths and good information that is contrary to conventional wisdom. It can give you some insight possibly in what to do to heal a childโs GI tract
Itโs good nutritional food that could help heal her and breastfeeding for 2 years helps build a robust child
@Smitty83 did you report to VAERS. I would also consult an attorney. The government has 40 million a year set aside for reactions.
https://vaers.hhs.gov/
Cut the gluten out and all inflammatory foods sugar, non human dairy, and gluten obvi. If she is nursing mom should cut out those this too. Pro biotic and fermented foods to try to restore good gut bacteria. Bone broths. Delay remaining vaccinations.
Just my wifeโs two cents. Sorry man.
@Smitty83 Oh dear I am so sorry for you and your family. I can only imagine how difficult and scary that must be. There is a well renowned alternative doctor and pediatrician named Dr. Tenpenny. She has an office in Ohio. I would highly recommend giving a call. Homeopathy may also be something to look into, if you find a professional.

Can anyone give me info on the pros and cons of circumcision
cons: makes penises shriveled up and desensitized
pros: apparently it makes you less likely to get AIDS or whatever if you have unprotected sex with random people?
right. condoms have the same effect if youre uncircumcised
Circumcision rewires the brain from the pain/trauma, can make men more sensitive to pain later
It also reduces sensitivity/lessens sexual pleasure
The pros are it makes maintaining good hygiene easier.
Except that modern plumbing and soap sorta obviate that pro.
I was circumcised as a baby, I can't really say that it's had a negative impact on me.
That being said, it should be a choice made as an adult
Early childhood trauma can affect your mind even if you don't consciously know it's affecting you.
I personally have a really vague memory of my childhood so I just never really thought about it. For a long time I had anxiety for seemingly no reason. Then I started remembering stuff that I thought was normal growing up and I did some research and started discussing it with people and it turns out that it was a bigger deal I thought and probably explains my anxiety.
Apparently it could also be what's causing me to have problems falling asleep and all kinds of other problems.
I'm not talking about circumcision, of course, but, the point is, if it's true that circumcision causes trauma, it could very well be affecting you without you knowing it. I literally didn't realize any of this stuff until I thought about it at 21 and put the pieces together.
Very good input. Thank you
Hello friends. Going to be a First time parent in 6 months. Did you vaccinate your kids, partially vaccinate, delay them or completely avoid them? Iโm doing some research on my own currently, but wanted to hear from some of you if you donโt mind.
I think we are doing delayed scheduling
Spreading them out further than what's recommended by the CDC
We went along a delayed schedule
Weโre also doing a delayed schedule. We were very pleased to hear from our pediatrician that many people in our area are doing the same
I don't have kids, but an curious as to your rationale. @Grossly Incandescent
Yea Iโm currently looking at the schedule from the 1980s and comparing it to now. Considering the cases per year of each type of sickness and trying to make a decision on yes/no of each one and then when (probably will do a delayed schedule on any that are โyesโ)
@Ecarttev Iโm very well aware of the vastly positive effect vaccines have had for the greater population in basically eradicating some very bad diseases. Iโm not anti vax, Iโm just anti โinjecting my two month old with 8+ viruses in one sittingโ, on top of the heavy metals, detergents, formaldehyde, msg, and other crap thatโs used to preserve the viruses
