As much as I despise social media I think it maybe could have saved us if we had the power to spread awareness during 90's as we do now.
Shouldn't hate social media, it's an idea, just like capitalism... Just because there are people that abuse it for their own selfish gain, doesn't mean the idea itself is bad... Let's just use it as it should be used, honestly and fairly to the benefit of all, should still work fine to achieve a rate of success.
Ideas aren't inherently corrupt, they just become corrupt over time, when subjective takes priority over and above the objective. I think that's a clear way to define it.

Have some guarantees been extended by the ANC? Like only expropriating properties whose bonds have been paid in full or close to it.
Perhaps paper expropriation? They just transfer the land to the state, the property on the land stays yours, thus you carry the debt as per normal and then rent the land on which your property is? Only way I can see banks not losing.
I'll burn down my property and take the cash from insurance if that is the case...

Quite frankly I do not care how they structure it. The reality is that I entered an agreement with ABSA to pay the X amount over 20 years and then the property with everything on it becomes mine. Now half way through the term ABSA says the property will not be yours anymore after you have paid us the X amount as per contract. ABSA is breaching contract so I cannot and will not be forced to pay a bond for something that will not become mine eventually. I am quite happy for them to take the property back and give me my money back so both parties walk away.
I'm trying to figure out their motives and whether they are trying to cut deals with the ANC at our expense. People should know and boycott them if they are colluding in any way.

Everyone in SA have family or SA friends scattered all over the world. Especially Aus/NZ. We were going to move to Aus in 91' but my dad got a job promotion in a different city so we stayed and moved there. I'm glad we never left SA.
A lot of my friends swore they'd never leave SA. But, some got kids and decided it would be better to raise their kids elsewhere.
I stayed in NZ for a while. Gotta say, it's pretty cool. Good lifestyle.
