Yeah that's prob true I tried making it and it was pretty bitter and dry and gross, the onions were good though lol
You have to just barely cook it
Hmm that makes sense
Also dont salt until done cooking. If you salt before you cook it dries it out even more.
Would it be wise for me to start portioning out meals for the week? I've seen professional body-builders do this, and seems like a good idea.
Yes meal planning and portioning is a very good idea!
it saves money too and helps make sure youโre sticking to macros(if youโre into that)
Wife and I are trying out planning, and has worked well! I'll look into it then, PRobably saves time in the long run as well
Sunday night and wed night cook/prep worked for me in the past
Been trying to get my macros and micros in check but it's not easy
56% carb 20% fat 21% protein
I've been doing some research, and how should I go about portioning my meals?
Broccoli, nuts, berries, etc?
Hmmmm that is tough it depends on your goals right
Like if you want to lose weight
And things like your current weight and activity level should be taken into account too ๐
Bought chicken liver last night. Going to try to make this
nice
What is up with this onion thing lol
@Coghasta - FL see onionposting
@StrawberryArmada Fast food is not a good source for looking for nutritious foods. I think if you eat grass fed beef and free range poultry etc you will gain great nutrients and gains without side effects brought about by fast food and high sugar diets that most americans consume.
Beef. But also eat some vegetables like chicken or pork
All meat diet.
I only eat fast food
No time to go slow
Someone told me i should eat lots of fats and calories so i'm eating some ice cream
I love this dietary advice
lol
support Ben and Jerry's. They are the accelerationist candidate for ice cream-funded degeneracy.
Wow... I'm finally an alpha now
Here's a repost from the old server. Paleo Mac and cheese. The "macaroni" is diced cauliflower
I thought cheese wasn't Paleo?
Definitely isnt. Cheating is what a caveman would do though
Meant to type keto. I'm a nutrition noob but the chef wasn't
Oh. Well I dunno what that is but sounds fancy
Does anyone know what effects drinking a lot of tea has on you? Iced tea (sans sugar, of course,) is basically all I think, and several more cups of hot tea before bed. A while ago I experienced kidney stones for the first time, and needless to say thatโs something Iโd rather avoid in the future. Iโve read that drinking too much tea, coffee, and soda (donโt drink the last one at all,) can sometimes cause kidney stones, but does anyone here know anything about that? How much is safe to drink then? Whatโs optimal?
My wife can't drink much tea bc of kidney stones.
According to doctors
I wonder if it depends on the tea
Might. I know they told my wife it was minerals from the tea leaves. Probably have to look at nutritional info to determine if one is worse than the other.
Do Brits get a lot of kidney stones? If not I call bs on that advice
Never got a kidney stone yet, but could be the tea you drink.
Its also possible it's just the inability to process minerals in the tea quick enough to exit the body
@The Eternal Anglo many different kinds
How the fuck does tea give you kidney stones? Wtf that makes me mad
I refuse to cut down on tea
@Deleted User sounds like liberal bullshit tbh
You would think the water in the tea would counteract any ill effects of minerals or whatever
It's the oxalate in some types of tea apparently
RIP I drink a ton of Arizona Green Tea
That has so much sugar
Precious calories
Drink milk for liquid calories
So what's the rundown on IBS and nutrition?
@Koba#0202 Don't eat fried potatoes
Eat clean. Stay hydrated, and you should be good
โ๐ปI thought I had ibs for a lot of my life until I got ahold of my diet
Now I don't ever have a problem
Interesting, that could be it then because it doesn't run in my family. At RIT I only really ate Oreos, scrambled eggs and ramen with a lot of alcohol on the weekends. Diets gotten better since then, I'll experiment with it some and see what results I get
One of my new year resolutions is to improve my oral health. Does anyone have recommendations for a good natural toothpaste?
And actually since I'm asking this, perhaps we could also add hygiene channel?
I like perioclear a lot
What's good about it?
Oh that looks really good. I've been looking for one that doesn't have toxic fluride in it.
Yeah give it a shot and let me know what you think
Thanks man I will.
Check toms or even (((dr bronners)))
@Deleted User how long does that one tube usually last you?
Good question. Same size as standard toothpaste.
Toms of Maine? I love that toothpaste
Periopaste
Toms is good, but they only own 15 percent of the company. Colgate owns the rest.
Jason's is good, too.
dang
I've used Jason before. I liked it also.
No homo
Jasonโs is good, can confirm
The Chad meal prep step one.
Woah!
Sexy.
really good website to learn info about supplements
@Fox whole turkey is probably cheaper than frozen ground turkey isnโt it?
Get the whole turkey. It's not as processed, and the organ meats are high in nutrients.
@Deleted User I would assume so, yes.
Are there any good ways to make beef liver?
Depends on if you like beef liver...
If you hate it then chop it up real small and add it to something like meatballs, chili, spaghetti sauce or something like that with a bunch of ground beef.
If you do like it then just sear it hard in a cast iron or on the grill and donโt cook it over medium.
Cook it with onions too, very ๐๐ป

Iโve been buying Vegan protein powder from Costco over the past few months because it just looks healthier. Can you make any gains from it though or does it just give you an adequate amount of protein to be moderately in-shape?
