What is a bike?
Well that was quite fast
Cycling is a fast sport.
Alex McNabb fan channel
YES, our own channel!
Just got home from this evening ride:
34.7 miles today, in the rain
@Aleisโccidentalis bike pics?
@Tanner - SC you find any wamen out there in those wheat fields?
Ours isn't quite there yet
smh!!!
@Der Seeteufel - SD What if you ran over her with a combine?
Well we are mostly running sprayers right now so hopefully they can get between the wheels.
@Der Seeteufel - SD looking, the wamen must be hiding ...
One of the best parts about cycling is getting to tour the countryside.
@Der Seeteufel - SD did you know they grow some crops in sand?
One part of SC near my house doesnโt have soil or clay, itโs sand. Even the backroads are sand.
Iโm new here, so when I saw a tractor, I laughed and thought it was a joke.
Yeah our ground out by the river is pretty sandy. Not that bad though.
Also, Christmas tree farms.
@Der Seeteufel - SD is there a farming channel? I love the pics you share and would like to browse more.
A farming channel probably would fit into the practical skills server.
@ThisIsChris Iโm inclined to agree โ๐ป We have enough farmers now
@Tanner - SC @Der Seeteufel - SD @Deleted User #farming now exists in the skills server, welcome! https://discord.gg/zrmmsk
you rock bruh
๐
Peanuts grow well in sandy soil @Tanner - SC
Also onions grown in sand, which as a substrate allows plants to more easily expand, can result in very large onions
I planted 10k onions give or take a few all by hand with my father this year.
Used an Amish plough
It was a great workout actually
A Homo sapien of the google variety stole my trek bike
@Francis V Your bike is in Wakanda?
Yes, they used vibranium bolt cutters to cut my padlock
I think I know who did it, I was working at a gym at the time and one morning we opened late and a yoked up โgoogleโ was angry about it. Instead of being rational and understanding he attempted to take the keys from a manager, (a cute redhead fitness instructor) I stood in his way during his attempts to assault her and held him back, he was escorted to jail by the police. I think he came back for revenge or something.
What model of Trek?
Trek is the only major bike brand 100% owned by Americans, HQ in rural Wisconsin. Specialized is 51% American owned, 49% by Taiwanese โMeridaโ, HQ in California. Cannondale was 100% purchased by Canadian โDorelโ, HQ in Connecticut.
Where was that picture taken btw
It was a 200 dollar bike I bought from Walmart lol
Pic is from Roan Mountain in North Carolina.

Belizian cycle. Very good to have on a Caye.
@The Huwhyte Ulf - VA Whatโs a โCayeโ?
Similar to an island. I was on thatch caye for my honeymoon recently.
Rode that hog around the caye.
Ah cool
My only experience with a cycle recently lol
You should ride my spare bike and find the true joys of drop-bar road cycling.
Is this where we talk about negating the sideeffects of Tren?
What is tren
Trenbolone Acetate or Trenbolone Enanthate are anabolic steroids known for being particularly strong, with the name often shortened to Tren
roiding is done in "cycles", so
**Bi**cycling, you goof!

Cycling is the white manโs domain. Go back to fapping to Ronnie Coleman, @Tyler0317
๐
Cyclists are clearly the master race. ๐
Bodybuilders literally paint themselves to look like negroes.
Degenerate ones
just gonna leave this here ๐
Weight lifters can bicycle too, this is not a binary world.
I like biking for cardio, I suppose, but otherwise not my cup of tea
who knows maybe I'll come around in 10 years
Easy boys; teasing is all in brotherly fun. Let's not make it serious.
Long day at work, posted while angry.

keep on that bike swole

The swolest cyclist ever:

cyclist quads are ridiculous
Why would a cyclist need to have that much upper body strength that he seems to have?
Why do foot sprinters have big arms? The cyclists probably have big arms because they grab the handlebars and wrench the heck out of them. Pull up on the handlebar as you push down on the pedal. You could see him torquing the stationary bike.
Having a strong upper body helps when running. Especially sprinting
Finally an independent agency testing bicycle helmets!
https://www.beam.vt.edu/helmet/bicycle-helmet-ratings.html
I just bought their top recommended helmet and hope I never put it to the test.
Involves cycling ^^^
Thankfully found some balance to the pozz
Any foodies here need to take up cycling. 2,200 calories burned in one ride.
sheesh
how fatigued does that make you?
Depends how hard I push. I can go at a walking pace equivalent, a jogging pace, a running pace, a sprinting pace. Strava will also calculate the training load based on heart rate and power meter to see how long of a recovery you need for the intensity you exerted.
I went decently hard on this ride, so more than 24 hours for full recovery, but no so hard that I need a day off of exercising.
I'm interested in seeing the math behind that
@Tanner - SC I want to get into cycling. I now live in a city and know nothing about good bike brands. Aside from obviously googling for resources on my own time, what would be a good starting point for getting into cycling seriously?
And by seriously I mean tracking my workouts like you do so I receive that data, a serious but hopefully affordable bike brand, and maybe an app for finding popular cycling routes.
* Determine if you want to do road cycling or mountain biking or a bike thatโs a mix of the two. Theyโre kind of like trucks vs cars, quite different designs
* Trek is my most recommended brand. They are the only brand 100% owned by Americans, based in rural Wisconsin, and have pro-America names for their products like โBooneโ and โCrocketโ. The biggest brand in the USA, Lance Armstrong rode a Trek for each of his 7 Tour De France wins.
* Specialized is #2 brand I recommend, they innovate the most, based in bay area California, sold 49% of the company to the Taiwanese. Cannondale is #3 recommended, based in Connecticut, sold 100% of company to Canadians. Giant is the worldโs largest brand, but theyโre entirely Taiwanese and a bit cheap.
Strava is by far the most popular cycling app
You're the best. Thank you much, I'm going to look into all this now!
When you buy a bike, ask the bike shop to โfitโ the bike to you and ask them about local group rides. If you want to read a book about intro to cycling, I recommend <https://durianrider.com/products/durianriders-lean-body-bible> It also comes with a lot of nutrition advice which you are free to ignore (I like that part too)
If you want road cycling, you can enter at a variety of price points and still be fast. This would be a great start, let me know how that falls in your budget:
@BryceB-ND any progress? Watching any of the Tour De France?
Saw a big fake deer on today's ride
This is making me want to take up cycling
Mountain biker jumps over the Tour De France race today https://i.imgur.com/t4BLDcj.gifv
@BryceB-ND any progress?
Hah no not yet ive never been as busy as i have bee lately in my entire life
But 2 things are certain
Im getting fat, and i need a hobby
So eventually here im gonna dive all in to the cycling world
Just before I snapped this picture, the donkey was standing with his face against the fence in a hilarious pose because it was the only corner of the yard that had the least bit of shade.
Average cadence of 100, spin to win!
That is crazy, 50 miles
Do you eat at all during ?
Yeah, I eat Clif bars or Gu gels or honey or Gatorade on rides longer than about 35 miles, else I run out of glycogen in my muscles.
Okay good I know youre human then
๐
You know you're in the south when you have that lovely red dirt ๐
gotta love that clay
That house is beautiful
@Tanner - SC At what price point for bikes is everything considered no good ?
Like $500 and down or ?
I'll be honest, anything above that is totally more than I ever want to spend on a bike
But I know nothing about them either I am just now taking a glance at everything that you were nice enough to link me to.
Tour De France got the gas! It was like anudda shoah!

The struggle is real.
And so is the sweat.
Stupid white western liberals went on a diversity bicycle tour of the middle east and the expected happened, at least 4 dead.

Ya they could have went to beautiful Haiti.
My great grandmother sent us a postcard from Haiti when I was really young
She did not think highly of the place
Would repri myself if I reported her thoughts on the country verbatim
2,400 calories burned this morning
The dream garage. Not mine (yet).
If you fund my dream garage Iโll fund yours. Lol
@JesseJames only if youโre a ... RC car enthusiast, haha.
I would add a couple traxxas trucks to the long list of cars I would love to have. The only pedal power I have in my current garage are bmx bikes.
This new website turned my 4-hour bike ride into a 70-second arial view summary:

@Reinhard Wolff
All of them. ๐คฃ
Great pics.
@Tanner - SC I like their taste in architecture.
Is that in SC @Tanner - SC ?
@Madbent Yes sir, in the Greenville SC area.
@Tanner - SC gotcha, looked too flat to be upstate, too dry to be the low country, wrong vegetation for the midlands
Pretty country
Those 2 are my first pics from the upstate. Most of my above pics are from the midlands. Hereโs some I donโt think I shared from low country:
Nice, thatโs familiar ground ๐
Sometimes you get a flat. I went on to set a personal best average power output for 02:30:00 (moving time, not total) of 163 watts. Now Iโll try to beat that without a tire change rest in the middle.
Beautiful countryside, great pictures Tanner
@Tanner - SC my daily 4 mile was really rough after those 18 yesterday
Nice view.
Do calisthenics, boys
@John O - beautiful!
Cycling around the east side of Detroit
Wow... so beautiful.
Nive view.
Man I would be afraid to go to East Detroit
More today
This prostitute blew me a kiss right after taking this picture
Seems like a nice place.
Wholesome.
Ride a bike.
It will take you places.
Hey they never said it would be nice places.
I used to live in Detroit for almost two years (I plan on moving back this summer) and it is such an interesting city. Every day you see levels of deviance and degeneracy that you never knew were possible. The main annoying thing was being asked if I want heroin everyday because I was white in a black neighborhood. But other than that I still cruise the city everyday whether it is for school or work and take flicks of the interesting stuff I see
I enjoy watching the videos on youtube of people driving through Detroit and filming. It really is something else.
While the blight, and decay is very much real (literally every block real) it is also making a major comeback. Downtown, midtown, and New center are thriving due to tens of thousands of young while people moving there like myself, kicking out the blacks, and taking back our city by making housing prices too high for them to move back in. Gentrification is really a wonderful thing in a city like Detroit. The police recognize it and now those areas just mentioned are the most patrolled in the city.
That's pretty awesome.
Reconquista
Now ya'll need to start making babies...
Such a cool graphic!
The pavement unexpectedly ended part-way through todayโs ride in a new area, so I continued riding on the southโs famous โred dirt roadsโ.
Nice
