The only public space I'll sleep in is an airplane

2018-12-21 05:48:14 UTC

>I'm back in WA
>a WA member is put on an 8-hr train ride
hmmmm

2018-12-21 05:58:37 UTC

Finally finished

2018-12-21 06:00:07 UTC

Awesome!

2018-12-21 06:00:31 UTC

Turned out really well actually!

2018-12-21 06:02:07 UTC

NorCal leads the way!

2018-12-21 06:02:12 UTC

Yep, it was a team effort. @still brodie - CA @Freiheit - CA @celticflame @John Smith @Mrs. Bogl . Thank you all.

2018-12-21 06:10:52 UTC

@Bogl - CA ho ho ho

2018-12-21 06:18:58 UTC

Merry Christmas @Conway - OK . Hope all is well in Oklahoma.

2018-12-21 06:39:30 UTC

@Salo Saloson I'm going to Western Washington

2018-12-21 06:42:44 UTC

@Bogl - CAvery nice. Can't wait to see pictures of it flying

2018-12-21 06:44:24 UTC

Oh. Well. Welcome to the green half of the state.

2018-12-21 06:44:34 UTC

After only a day here I can honestly say I'm sick of the rain.

2018-12-21 06:47:34 UTC

I've been told that an IE poster survived the recent tornado in Washington

2018-12-21 06:47:51 UTC

It's been up for over a year

2018-12-21 06:48:00 UTC

^A prophecy, no?

2018-12-21 06:48:19 UTC

Absolutely

2018-12-21 06:48:47 UTC

compliments of Moike Enoch's retweet

2018-12-21 06:48:58 UTC

aaaaaaaand our poster was still theeere

2018-12-21 06:50:10 UTC

AHAHAHA I once used a similar taking point to that tweet in class

2018-12-21 06:50:29 UTC

ended up getting an A in the class

2018-12-21 06:51:34 UTC

Molynew and Stephen Miller are softening my heart--must be Christmas or something

2018-12-21 06:52:29 UTC

It needs to be said that Moly's tweet is what many have thought and raged on about for years now..

2018-12-21 06:53:07 UTC

But with a little discipline we can applaud his realization and not scream, "well, YEAH! DUH!"

2018-12-21 06:53:54 UTC

-McFeels just rt it too. It'll make the rounds by sun up

2018-12-21 06:54:06 UTC

Habbenings habben fast

2018-12-21 06:54:34 UTC

IE official resonse: "Ya think?"

2018-12-21 06:54:58 UTC

*followed by conversation on why it's a big deal when they say it but not us*

2018-12-21 06:55:43 UTC

@Bogl - CA beautiful banner as always my dood

2018-12-21 06:57:10 UTC

As I have said and will always say, paper tiger.

2018-12-21 06:58:10 UTC

"The growing self-recognition among white people, prodded into being by demographic change and broader conversations about how racial identity works, could certainly lead toward self-acceptance and harmony, sure. {snip} But weโ€™re also staring at copious evidence of this self-recognition swinging in the other direction. When white Americans burrow into their group identity, the switch that Painter described often flips, from nothingness to awfulness. Some of us fixate on maintaining racial dominance, conjuring ethnonationalist states or a magical immigration formula that somehow imports half of Scandinavia. A majority of white Americans currently believe that their own race is discriminated against. News accounts fill with white resentment and torch-lit white-power marches. White Americans, who โ€œseem lost,โ€ are searching for something important: how to see ourselves without turning awful in the process."

2018-12-21 06:59:20 UTC

lmao

2018-12-21 06:59:22 UTC

All it takes is a single knock at the shatterpoint.

2018-12-21 06:59:47 UTC

and this entire system comes crashing down

2018-12-21 07:00:01 UTC

even my left leanings friends roll their eyes at some of the left's creepy rhetoric

2018-12-21 07:00:06 UTC

Huwhites know it. However, they're just too afraid to say it.

2018-12-21 07:00:18 UTC

I wonder how long they'll take it

2018-12-21 07:00:24 UTC

@Jacob Personally, I like it.

2018-12-21 07:00:43 UTC

It's the sound a regime falling.

2018-12-21 07:00:45 UTC

I have a friend who hates Trump and even she thinks all the white privilege stuff is retarded

2018-12-21 07:00:52 UTC

That's good to hear.

2018-12-21 07:01:06 UTC

then she best start pushing back against that rhetoric

2018-12-21 07:01:19 UTC

as they say: don't be a bad ally, wypipo

2018-12-21 07:01:27 UTC

lol

2018-12-21 07:02:02 UTC

@Jacob I love the fake diversity in this server.

2018-12-21 07:02:35 UTC

@Salo Saloson Ya, that's the thing, she doesn't like the SJW stuff, but the seriousness of the situation hasn't set in for her yet

2018-12-21 07:02:48 UTC

I wonder how long people like her will take it

2018-12-21 07:03:03 UTC

I was a leftist once.

2018-12-21 07:03:17 UTC

The SJW bullshit is what pushed me away from communism.

2018-12-21 07:03:31 UTC

I literally joined this movement for the memes.

2018-12-21 07:03:36 UTC

originally

2018-12-21 07:03:46 UTC

I said "screw it".

2018-12-21 07:04:04 UTC

That's encouraging

2018-12-21 07:05:27 UTC

I was so far left that I was willing to run around my campus getting petitions signed for the "glorious revolution".

2018-12-21 07:05:34 UTC

just to give you an idea

2018-12-21 07:05:39 UTC

of how far gone I was

2018-12-21 07:05:50 UTC

She once told me she's afraid to talk to people because it's so easy to offend someone

2018-12-21 07:06:11 UTC

That's how I felt.

2018-12-21 07:06:17 UTC

Wew.. that was a far-left place to come from. Glad you're out of that

2018-12-21 07:06:18 UTC

That's why I left.

2018-12-21 07:06:26 UTC

@Flint Thanks. I know.

2018-12-21 07:06:26 UTC

Maybe if she had more exposure to radical leftists she'd snap eventually

2018-12-21 07:06:34 UTC

I was just slightly to the right of your average SJW.

2018-12-21 07:07:07 UTC

Even in Utah?

2018-12-21 07:07:10 UTC

I, too, believed in the SJW stuff at one point, but I was never super into it

2018-12-21 07:07:17 UTC

@Flint Yup.

2018-12-21 07:07:32 UTC

I was a libertarian who thought police were shooting innocent black people

2018-12-21 07:07:35 UTC

I think it's the most huwhite pilling thing ever.

2018-12-21 07:07:47 UTC

@Jacob That was my middle ground from being a leftist to here.

2018-12-21 07:08:11 UTC

It goes Commie > Libertarian > Identitarian

2018-12-21 07:08:25 UTC

all pushed by an anti-huwhite agenda.

2018-12-21 07:10:05 UTC

I've always been politically far right, but succumbed to the left's culture and then got out of it--so I find the intellectual shift the most fascinating

2018-12-21 07:10:10 UTC

my only transition period is that for a while I was a nationalist, but only for Europe

2018-12-21 07:11:10 UTC

like I'd agree with SJWs here, but also admire Falangist groups in Europe lmao

2018-12-21 07:11:32 UTC

it didn't take too long to realize the contradiction though

2018-12-21 07:11:52 UTC

How about the cultural aspect?

2018-12-21 07:12:12 UTC

Did you find it conflicting with your world view?

2018-12-21 07:12:25 UTC

Or was it entirely intellectual?

2018-12-21 07:12:35 UTC

Bc it was the opposite with me

2018-12-21 07:12:42 UTC

what do you mean by the cultural aspect?

2018-12-21 07:13:15 UTC

your behavior, what you did for fun

2018-12-21 07:13:22 UTC

ahhh

2018-12-21 07:13:35 UTC

ie leftists party, do drugs, one night stands, etc

2018-12-21 07:13:47 UTC

right wing is rigid moral structure

2018-12-21 07:13:53 UTC

I always thought that was gross

2018-12-21 07:13:55 UTC

family, dating, etc

2018-12-21 07:14:33 UTC

So I'm guessing morality guided you out of that phase, but you made the intellectual jump to leave?

2018-12-21 07:14:47 UTC

*I might be wrong, just asking*

2018-12-21 07:15:01 UTC

I agreed with the BLM stuff but never the LGBT stuff

2018-12-21 07:15:22 UTC

I could never get behind LGBT stuff

2018-12-21 07:15:56 UTC

So you were culturally 'moral' and right wing (for the sake of conversation), but thought more leftist?

2018-12-21 07:16:46 UTC

I was obsessed with muh natives, BLM, islamophobia, that kind of stuff

I always thought trannies were mentally ill

2018-12-21 07:16:53 UTC

so, yes, you could say that

2018-12-21 07:17:29 UTC

I flip flopped a lot when I was younger though

2018-12-21 07:17:44 UTC

Sounds like an intellectual mix, "I thought _____ was okay, but not ______"

2018-12-21 07:18:12 UTC

Thinking something is right/wrong is intellectual disagreement

2018-12-21 07:18:20 UTC

my political views have generally been all over the place throughout my life

2018-12-21 07:18:42 UTC

I don't even know what you would call my ideology at some points

2018-12-21 07:19:16 UTC

I can get that. I didn't either. Most youth are lying when they say they are X

2018-12-21 07:20:24 UTC

I was far right (looking back) but then succumbed to lefty morals after some years of being worn down. Then came back when I became Christian--but even then spent a long time burning the old ways out

2018-12-21 07:20:55 UTC

I've always been concerned more with the cultural aspect than the intellectual

2018-12-21 07:21:07 UTC

At first I was pro free college and healthcare, anti redistribution of wealth, anti LGBT, and abortion, but also believed America oppresses minorities

2018-12-21 07:21:12 UTC

(a very lefty thing to do, that's why the right has lost the cultural war)

2018-12-21 07:21:15 UTC

Then I was libertarian

2018-12-21 07:21:19 UTC

Then ancap

2018-12-21 07:21:27 UTC

I had a few weeks as a libertarian, lol

2018-12-21 07:21:30 UTC

then I reverted to my original position

2018-12-21 07:21:44 UTC

The natural process of internal debate

2018-12-21 07:21:59 UTC

A sign of intellectual health, imo

2018-12-21 07:22:19 UTC

then I was nationalist for Europe but not America

2018-12-21 07:22:29 UTC

That's bizarre, lol

2018-12-21 07:22:57 UTC

then I became nationalist for America, too, and switched my economic views to copy Trump

2018-12-21 07:23:04 UTC

I've always been an American nationalist and have always cared little for Europe

2018-12-21 07:23:40 UTC

That's changing, slowly (Europe is hard to love, they get stomped every year by EU)

2018-12-21 07:23:40 UTC

My most recent transition is I shifted left economically

2018-12-21 07:23:48 UTC

and yes I agree with you

2018-12-21 07:24:01 UTC

is healthy to debate internally

2018-12-21 07:24:31 UTC

I'm further left economically than I was before (but I never cared/thought about economics before)

2018-12-21 07:25:04 UTC

My position was always "if we can just stop ruining our lives with our behavior, I don't care how much you tax us"

2018-12-21 07:25:31 UTC

But after studying China more, I've realized how damn awful Soc/Com is

2018-12-21 07:25:47 UTC

But also that capitalism *needs* regulation

2018-12-21 07:26:04 UTC

I think I was just an edgy kid and had a grudge on America tbh

2018-12-21 07:26:17 UTC

I knew nationalism was logically better

2018-12-21 07:26:30 UTC

Lol, that's funny. It's fun to hear the exact opposite of how I got here

2018-12-21 07:26:39 UTC

I just thought America was a colonial state that "had it coming"

2018-12-21 07:27:00 UTC

In high school, I remember hating Macy's bc they had a red star as a logo, lol

2018-12-21 07:27:16 UTC

But then I went and partied

2018-12-21 07:27:27 UTC

I'm an American Monarchist with Cowboyism economic policies

2018-12-21 07:27:48 UTC

Cowboyism... I wanna hear about that

2018-12-21 07:27:58 UTC

let me find the pic

2018-12-21 07:28:00 UTC

I might be down with that

2018-12-21 07:28:24 UTC

Monarchy, though? No way, Jose

2018-12-21 07:28:33 UTC

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/481597551272001546/525575290408140830/image0.jpg

2018-12-21 07:29:02 UTC

yeah, I'm not really sure what I actually am. It's constantly developing

2018-12-21 07:29:29 UTC

>tfw think am edgy but end up middle ground

2018-12-21 07:29:52 UTC

I'm actually very modest on most policies outside of behavioral/cultural

2018-12-21 07:30:06 UTC

*moderate

2018-12-21 07:30:06 UTC

I don't really like taxes

2018-12-21 07:30:41 UTC

I'm down with giving money collectively so that services that benefit the whole/folk work

2018-12-21 07:30:57 UTC

Problem is, our services suck no matter what

2018-12-21 07:31:05 UTC

bc the cultural influences

2018-12-21 07:31:08 UTC

-schools

2018-12-21 07:31:22 UTC

All comes back to demographics

2018-12-21 07:31:27 UTC

Thus, why I'm WN

2018-12-21 07:32:23 UTC

Can't have a functioning society while having awful demographics

2018-12-21 07:32:38 UTC

I really like Teddy Roosevelt

2018-12-21 07:33:15 UTC

I like the idea of healthy people in a healthy environment

2018-12-21 07:33:34 UTC

We need a some form of Scouts for younger kids

2018-12-21 07:33:50 UTC

guys, I'm about to walk on MLK Boulevard in Spokane

if I stop responding, you know where to send help

2018-12-21 07:34:51 UTC

๐Ÿ™…

2018-12-21 07:35:02 UTC

I'm staying up late watching videos on how to write a novel

2018-12-21 07:36:53 UTC

I'm staying up late reading "Culture of Critique"

2018-12-21 07:39:24 UTC

I really need to dive back into that book

2018-12-21 07:41:03 UTC

Do you think it's a good idea to read two books on the train?

2018-12-21 07:41:13 UTC

so I don't get bored of one

2018-12-21 07:41:33 UTC

I have the WN Manifesto which is really short

2018-12-21 07:41:48 UTC

could probably finish the whole thing

2018-12-21 07:42:24 UTC

read BAP, i couldn't put that book down

2018-12-21 07:44:13 UTC

Yeah, I usually have about 3 books I'm going through. One is usually really serious non-fiction, one serious fiction, and one is some fun read to tune out

2018-12-21 07:44:47 UTC

Can't have only one super serious book to read

2018-12-21 07:45:15 UTC

I haven't read a fiction story book in like 2 years, but I think I found one to get back into it.

2018-12-21 07:46:32 UTC

@Flint Becoming more nationalist has actually pushed me further left economically

2018-12-21 07:46:56 UTC

Stephen Pressfield's "Gates of Fire" should be mandatory, imho

2018-12-21 07:47:05 UTC

Why should I support policies that benefit a business elite which wants to replace us?

2018-12-21 07:47:25 UTC

@Lawrence of Eurabia Well, I can only read the books I brought with me

2018-12-21 07:47:55 UTC

Honestly, the man is the greatest alive at historical fiction. Gates of Fire is about the Spartans at Thermopylae

2018-12-21 07:48:11 UTC

It's a West Point req'd reading list book

2018-12-21 07:48:25 UTC

Ernst Junger's "Storm of Steel" was pretty good. I'm looking for the 1922 version though, cause I hear it's a lot different than the one from the 1970's.

2018-12-21 07:48:51 UTC

I really liked Caesar's Commentaries on the Gallic War

2018-12-21 07:49:12 UTC

Storm of Steel was good as far as historical works go, but there was no narrative

2018-12-21 07:49:27 UTC

Gates of Fire will challenge you as a man--no joke

2018-12-21 07:49:54 UTC

I'll look into it. I should probably read it being a Cadet

2018-12-21 07:50:15 UTC

Yeah, you'll have to, eventually

2018-12-21 07:50:45 UTC

I'm also gonna write up interview questions for Jared Taylor on the train

2018-12-21 07:51:19 UTC

There's no harder book on 'being hard' than Gates of Fire

2018-12-21 07:51:34 UTC

That's literally what it's about

2018-12-21 07:51:43 UTC

the last fiction book I read was Pat Conroy's "The Lords of Discipline"

2018-12-21 07:52:49 UTC

Dudes at various ages going through the battle of Thermopylae in various ranks and experiences--while being written by an arguably master historical novelist

2018-12-21 07:53:08 UTC

GOT has nothing on GoF

2018-12-21 07:53:22 UTC

my goal is to write history books someday

2018-12-21 07:53:23 UTC

The only book I read once a year

2018-12-21 07:53:47 UTC

Read Stephen Pressfield to see what a master at the craft looks like

2018-12-21 07:55:52 UTC

Patton's "War As I Knew It" was a really interesting book. It's the collection of the journals that his wife edited and allowed to be used, and the start of the book he was never able to finish.

2018-12-21 07:57:12 UTC

being in this organization makes me feel so dumb

2018-12-21 07:57:28 UTC

normally I'm more well read than the people in around

2018-12-21 07:57:54 UTC

but then I go to IE meetups and the conversations are way over my head

2018-12-21 07:58:56 UTC

I'm not a well read as most people in IE, but I'm defiantly more read than your average guy my age

2018-12-21 07:59:21 UTC

they're always analyzing philosophy that I can't understand

2018-12-21 08:00:23 UTC

most philosophy probably needs to be read multiple times

2018-12-21 08:02:34 UTC

most books in general need to be read multiple times unless it's simple stuff

2018-12-21 08:02:36 UTC

well

2018-12-21 08:02:51 UTC

it probably depends on your reading level

2018-12-21 08:03:23 UTC

I got lazy with reading as a teenager

2018-12-21 08:03:58 UTC

being part of this movement inspired me to start reading full books because I want to not because I have to

2018-12-21 08:04:06 UTC

I never did that when I was younger

2018-12-21 08:04:19 UTC

I did go on Wikipedia tangents though

2018-12-21 08:12:03 UTC

Along the lines of most books needing to be read twice, I'd say the authors failed

2018-12-21 08:14:08 UTC

I know that I *can* read a book twice and gain more, but for an author to expect anyone to read their book twice (luckily they did the first time), is bad strategy

2018-12-21 08:14:49 UTC

I just forget stuff

2018-12-21 08:15:00 UTC

and my reading comprehension isn't where it should be

2018-12-21 08:15:12 UTC

probably higher than then average person

2018-12-21 08:15:36 UTC

but lower than ๐Ÿ…ฑig ๐Ÿ…ฑrained IE members

2018-12-21 08:16:18 UTC

lol, to be fair my reading comp is sky high--but not my math score

2018-12-21 08:17:16 UTC

>Read this book, guy
>Oh, I know where this is going.

2018-12-21 08:29:37 UTC

baste

I did some more digging on Trump's bump stock ban, this is apparently something he started promising he would do back in February. That makes me feel a bit better about it I guess. I sometimes wonder if him giving bones to the lefties like Crim. Justice reform + bump stock ban give him cover for things like withdrawing troops from Syria.

I'm literally in Odessa right now

2018-12-21 11:57:57 UTC

just got a bit of internet connection

2018-12-21 12:00:59 UTC

@Jacob nice! My dad went there a few times, he said it was beautiful. Are you with family?

2018-12-21 12:02:38 UTC

oh, it's the Odessa in Washington, so probably not as exciting

2018-12-21 12:02:49 UTC

though visiting Ukraine one day sounds fun

2018-12-21 12:36:15 UTC

@Jacob LOL yeah very different

2018-12-21 12:51:51 UTC

the girl sitting next to me was speaking Russian though

2018-12-21 12:52:03 UTC

who knows, maybe she's from the original Odessa!

2018-12-21 13:05:39 UTC

Ukrainian is an eastern Slavic language and sounds very similar to Russian.

2018-12-21 13:07:51 UTC

My girlfriend is Serbian, and speaks it fluently. Sounds Russian, too

2018-12-21 13:08:10 UTC

A lot of Slav languages are like that tbh

2018-12-21 13:08:16 UTC

Mhm

2018-12-21 13:08:30 UTC

Same with the Romance languages

2018-12-21 13:11:31 UTC

Even if Trump gets the Wall, he will be sued out the ass for it

2018-12-21 13:12:00 UTC

Peak 2019: a Trump appointed judge rules border wall unconstitutional

2018-12-21 13:15:24 UTC

You can tell that women created Romance languages

2018-12-21 13:15:43 UTC

The fact of the matter is if it does its out of his hands. He becomes a martyr to the people. Now he's just a betrayer. At this point it's not even about the wall it's just a pissing match to see who's gonna back off first. If the nuclear opition is called the dial is just turned up by a lot.

2018-12-21 13:21:23 UTC

@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL Ukrainian sounds really weird to me

2018-12-21 13:22:00 UTC

oh you probably didn't know that I speak Russian

2018-12-21 13:22:27 UTC

so your message makes sense

2018-12-21 13:23:00 UTC

Boys Iโ€™m feeling good about wall funding this morning

2018-12-21 13:23:51 UTC

I hope when the president closes his eyes at night he hears โ€œbuild the wallโ€ chants

2018-12-21 13:23:56 UTC

@Argument of Perigee happy winter solstice. Shortest day of the year.

2018-12-21 13:38:31 UTC

I always figured Ukrainian sounds a bit like Russified Polish, I believe I've read before that Polish and Ukrainian are somewhat similar

2018-12-21 13:39:46 UTC

@Papa Pizzagate Come on Trumptard you're just like Malfoy from Harry Potter. Don't you see where you're wrong kid Hermonie is going to win!!!

2018-12-21 13:41:19 UTC

2018-12-21 13:43:12 UTC

...I tried.

2018-12-21 13:50:33 UTC

You know if Trump will just stay on point and keep swinging, even if he fails he'll be a hero in my book.

2018-12-21 13:50:54 UTC

I'm afraid he likes people to like him too much though.
