I could never get behind LGBT stuff

2018-12-21 07:15:56 UTC

So you were culturally 'moral' and right wing (for the sake of conversation), but thought more leftist?

2018-12-21 07:16:46 UTC

I was obsessed with muh natives, BLM, islamophobia, that kind of stuff

I always thought trannies were mentally ill

2018-12-21 07:16:53 UTC

so, yes, you could say that

2018-12-21 07:17:29 UTC

I flip flopped a lot when I was younger though

2018-12-21 07:17:44 UTC

Sounds like an intellectual mix, "I thought _____ was okay, but not ______"

2018-12-21 07:18:12 UTC

Thinking something is right/wrong is intellectual disagreement

2018-12-21 07:18:20 UTC

my political views have generally been all over the place throughout my life

2018-12-21 07:18:42 UTC

I don't even know what you would call my ideology at some points

2018-12-21 07:19:16 UTC

I can get that. I didn't either. Most youth are lying when they say they are X

2018-12-21 07:20:24 UTC

I was far right (looking back) but then succumbed to lefty morals after some years of being worn down. Then came back when I became Christian--but even then spent a long time burning the old ways out

2018-12-21 07:20:55 UTC

I've always been concerned more with the cultural aspect than the intellectual

2018-12-21 07:21:07 UTC

At first I was pro free college and healthcare, anti redistribution of wealth, anti LGBT, and abortion, but also believed America oppresses minorities

2018-12-21 07:21:12 UTC

(a very lefty thing to do, that's why the right has lost the cultural war)

2018-12-21 07:21:15 UTC

Then I was libertarian

2018-12-21 07:21:19 UTC

Then ancap

2018-12-21 07:21:27 UTC

I had a few weeks as a libertarian, lol

2018-12-21 07:21:30 UTC

then I reverted to my original position

2018-12-21 07:21:44 UTC

The natural process of internal debate

2018-12-21 07:21:59 UTC

A sign of intellectual health, imo

2018-12-21 07:22:19 UTC

then I was nationalist for Europe but not America

2018-12-21 07:22:29 UTC

That's bizarre, lol

2018-12-21 07:22:57 UTC

then I became nationalist for America, too, and switched my economic views to copy Trump

2018-12-21 07:23:04 UTC

I've always been an American nationalist and have always cared little for Europe

2018-12-21 07:23:40 UTC

That's changing, slowly (Europe is hard to love, they get stomped every year by EU)

2018-12-21 07:23:40 UTC

My most recent transition is I shifted left economically

2018-12-21 07:23:48 UTC

and yes I agree with you

2018-12-21 07:24:01 UTC

is healthy to debate internally

2018-12-21 07:24:31 UTC

I'm further left economically than I was before (but I never cared/thought about economics before)

2018-12-21 07:25:04 UTC

My position was always "if we can just stop ruining our lives with our behavior, I don't care how much you tax us"

2018-12-21 07:25:31 UTC

But after studying China more, I've realized how damn awful Soc/Com is

2018-12-21 07:25:47 UTC

But also that capitalism *needs* regulation

2018-12-21 07:26:04 UTC

I think I was just an edgy kid and had a grudge on America tbh

2018-12-21 07:26:17 UTC

I knew nationalism was logically better

2018-12-21 07:26:30 UTC

Lol, that's funny. It's fun to hear the exact opposite of how I got here

2018-12-21 07:26:39 UTC

I just thought America was a colonial state that "had it coming"

2018-12-21 07:27:00 UTC

In high school, I remember hating Macy's bc they had a red star as a logo, lol

2018-12-21 07:27:16 UTC

But then I went and partied

2018-12-21 07:27:27 UTC

I'm an American Monarchist with Cowboyism economic policies

2018-12-21 07:27:48 UTC

Cowboyism... I wanna hear about that

2018-12-21 07:27:58 UTC

let me find the pic
