If we will make a statement or not is up to Patrick. He has done it in the past. It might have even been to the same news station. I personally think he should, even if he already has given one to the same news station, just because it's free advertising. However, Patrick is a busy guy, and if he doesn't always have time to give a statement to every news agency that asks, we should respect that.
