I def use and recommend YouTube tutorials for lots of crafty things.

2017-10-11 20:46:58 UTC

Also I feel like I know how to use a tape measure.... But do I?

2017-10-11 20:48:10 UTC

@Deleted User I got into sewing so I could make/modify Hunting/Military/Tactical Gear. Let me know if you need any help. Heres an Uzi chest rig I made after i couldnt find anything i wanted to buy. You can pick up old quality sewing machines on craigslist for super cheap, adjust for inflation the model I bought cost 2,000 dollars in the 40's I picked mine up for 50 bucks, works great.

@Cait_Bradshaw - MA my pops didn't slack on passing knowledge down to me and my brothers. He taught us how to build a house from ground up, how to work on cars and small engine repair, we had a tobacco farm growing up and when my dad was home we weren't far off.
I don't have any sisters so my mom taught us how to cook, do laundry, sew, child care and other things women traditionally do, so we would be prepared for the world.

2017-10-11 20:49:30 UTC

My dad even prepared us for the JQ. My dad is so awesome. Haha

2017-10-11 20:54:00 UTC

Also, I wish we had and mason. I want to learn tuck pointing. I understand it, but I want the secrets.

2017-10-11 21:05:58 UTC

That's awesome. My father (if indeed I could call him that) wasn't around and I know how to do more than he does. Just about everything I learned I either taught myself or was taught to me by my grandfather

2017-10-11 21:06:21 UTC

Sad reality for a lot of people in this day and age.

2017-10-11 21:06:43 UTC

That's why learning these things and passing them on are so important

2017-10-11 21:44:05 UTC

I was taught many different things from my father my grandfathers and great grand fathers on both sides. I teach my sons how to do everything I know.

2017-10-11 21:56:37 UTC

@RevStench that's fantastic. I have great parents too but they bought into the feminist narrative and figured we'd all be career women with no need/interest in homemaking. So besides basic laundry and cooking it was kinda shrugged off.

2017-10-11 21:57:26 UTC

@Brandon Ironside- ND that is some sweet and badass sewing skills.

2017-10-13 17:54:13 UTC

I'm going to a wedding in a couple of weeks and am going to be buying a suit. What are some new styles and trendy color combos right now?

2017-10-13 19:42:03 UTC

You arent one of the groomsmen are you?

2017-10-13 22:12:03 UTC

@here anyone have some advice for @Tony V - CA#7460 ?

2017-10-13 22:12:50 UTC

Depends on the time of day and the setting. In any case- black is too dour unless you're the groom imo.

2017-10-13 22:14:11 UTC

If it's in the morning I'd go light grey with notched lapels.

2017-10-13 22:15:17 UTC

You can get away with wearing a non-white shirt as long as it's a light color and the tie doesn't clash

2017-10-13 22:16:29 UTC

depending on time of day either grey or black. my preference for a tie or aesthetic trim color would be a deep red.

2017-10-13 22:16:40 UTC

@Tony V - CA#7460 Post a pic of yourself with as much visible as you're comfortable

2017-10-13 22:17:57 UTC

if you are going with a bowtie tho just keep it simple with black

2017-10-13 22:18:08 UTC

very aesthetic and classical

2017-10-13 22:19:15 UTC

full white tux is very hard to keep clean during the whole ceremony + possible after party.

2017-10-13 22:19:17 UTC

Agreed there

2017-10-13 22:19:52 UTC

Yeah it really depends on how formal it is and what time of day

2017-10-13 22:30:56 UTC

@Deleted User If this is your first suit, I recommend a Navy Blue & Classic Fit suit. One can always be trendy with accessories such as shirts, tie, socks, pocket squares, etc

2017-10-13 22:35:33 UTC

^^^ This.

2017-10-13 22:40:55 UTC

I have a nice navy blue suit, fits great. I'm wondering what color shirt and tie I should go with. It's a black tie event

2017-10-13 22:45:26 UTC

White shirt, blue/white multi colored tie

2017-10-13 22:45:30 UTC

Oh wait

2017-10-13 22:45:32 UTC

I would stick with a White shirt. black tie non-sheen, black socks, black shoes and belt.

2017-10-13 22:46:02 UTC

Yeah. Brown belt and shoes would go better if you had a blue/white tie, but if you have a black tie, black is necessary

2017-10-13 23:07:25 UTC

Thanks for the fast responses I think I'll go with a white shirt and blue or black tie. Already have brown shoes and belt.

2017-10-14 00:52:10 UTC

If its a black tie you need black suite, black shoes and black tie with white shirt preferably french cuffs. If it is black tie optional go with what you got fam.

2017-10-25 16:18:16 UTC

If you're unhappy with your job because you have no opportunity to move up or get paid more and don't know what to do, explore alternative ways of raising your income.

2017-10-25 17:49:24 UTC

Anyone good with photo editing?!?

2017-10-25 17:50:45 UTC

@Whitelash I know photoshop pretty well what you need?

2017-10-25 17:51:00 UTC

May I dm you?

2017-10-25 18:00:09 UTC

Go for it

2017-10-25 21:45:22 UTC

@Deleted User is there any interest for starting a โ€œget involved in local politicsโ€ server? A lot of talk about this in the general

2017-10-25 22:22:40 UTC

@Evan Thomas#4159 Dude, this reeks of terrible decisions

2017-10-25 22:22:55 UTC
2017-10-25 22:43:31 UTC

@CJames - TN#6244 another good idea. Iโ€™m tied up these few days. Let me run that up the flag pole

2017-10-25 23:58:41 UTC

Care to expand on your thoughts/concerns? @John O -#7072

2017-10-26 00:14:45 UTC

It just has the je nais sais quoi of a scam

2017-10-26 04:05:15 UTC

The article is just explaining how network marketing is working for a lot of businesses. There are thousands of people making a lot of money with MLM companies. It's always good to exercise caution to minimize risk and do what is right for you, though.

Most people don't have the money to start their own business and most of these companies don't require a hefty initial investment. If there is no other opportunity out there for someone that desires a lot more than what they're presently earning, at the very least, getting involved in something like MLM would help them to begin thinking bigger and more creatively. And if they work harder, smarter and faster than most of the people in it, they'll succeed.

2017-10-26 04:32:42 UTC

Thinking outside the box of the normal 9-5 is especially necessary for the people in our movement.

2017-10-26 12:08:58 UTC

I know a husband and wife that did mlm type businesses and saved up enough to start their own store. They seem to be doing pretty good. Successful people will succeed no matter what they do.

2017-10-26 20:22:35 UTC

@Evan Thomas He mentions "The great Tony Robbins". I would be skeptical of anything said by someone who holds him in that high regard.

2017-10-26 22:49:10 UTC

Tony Robbins isn't my favorite, but he's still got a tremendous following that find his information useful. I doubt I'd go to one of his events and I haven't read any of his books. I do know a little bit about his place in the self-improvement industry and think a lot of his gimmicky walking on fire stuff is great for short term inspiration and thought expansion, but that's about it. He's basically a brilliant marketer, but so far as I know, he doesn't teach how to build a great business.

2017-11-07 22:26:01 UTC

https://youtu.be/Z-dqOi_z5bk Should've been a machinist. This shit is so implicit

2017-11-15 03:14:05 UTC

@Deleted User What does this mean?

2017-11-15 11:49:26 UTC

@JudenFrei#6240 just that he hired out of state lawyers to represent him

2017-11-15 17:34:00 UTC
2017-11-15 17:34:11 UTC

When is that allowed?

2017-11-15 18:21:17 UTC

When the judge allows it. Pro hac vice - for this occasion

2017-11-15 19:12:05 UTC

@JudenFrei#6240 itโ€™s usually not a problem as long as an in-state lawyer vouches that heโ€™ll make sure you behave yourself

2017-11-15 20:39:08 UTC

Ok. Thx

2017-11-17 19:14:05 UTC

Whatโ€™s up

2017-11-17 19:17:04 UTC

Why is there no welding channel?

2017-11-17 19:33:49 UTC

@ParadoxusX I would post in the Machining channel, anybody who can run a mill, lathe, cnc likely can weld also. I do MIG welding if you need any help.

2017-11-17 19:39:17 UTC

@Brandon Ironside- ND thatโ€™s cool, I was wondering if you would needed a welding sme?

2017-11-17 19:59:57 UTC

@ParadoxusX You can message @Deleted User and see if he needs extra help, he runs this server.

2017-11-17 20:00:36 UTC

Thanks

2017-11-18 00:00:08 UTC

@ParadoxusX we can change <#338633794896527360> to metalworking if youโ€™re willing to pitch in

2017-11-18 00:01:15 UTC

I work in manufacturing ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป

2017-11-18 00:02:17 UTC

@DCViking Iโ€™m always looking for guys who are willing to share their expertise

2017-11-18 00:04:42 UTC

Absolutely. I have experience in assembly, fabrication and welding.

2017-11-18 09:51:07 UTC

@Deleted User Iโ€™ll help any way I can.

2017-11-21 20:11:30 UTC

I need to come to this server more often, so much practical stuff to work on

2017-11-28 18:56:39 UTC

Why is plumbing not on here

2017-11-28 19:53:41 UTC

We don't have any plumbers. Everybody knows a little plumbing work.

2017-11-28 19:54:27 UTC

"Your shit is my bread and butter."
@โšกClarkโšก you can use that for your company.๐Ÿ˜‚

2017-11-28 19:55:04 UTC

Iโ€™m studying for my state plumbing license now. Itโ€™s seriously boring as hell and I hope I never get a chance to use it.

2017-11-28 19:56:17 UTC

Plumbing is good honest work. Single plumbers in NYC are knocking back $200k a year.

2017-11-28 19:56:58 UTC

Yea I work with and am friends with them, itโ€™s just not my thing.

2017-11-28 19:57:49 UTC

Right on. Well try another trade, I've worked in all the trades. Found I like carpentry the best.

2017-11-28 19:58:16 UTC

Iโ€™m a pipe welder

2017-11-28 19:59:10 UTC

Iโ€™m doing the pipe fitter apprenticeship so when I get old and blind Iโ€™ll know how to fit.

2017-11-28 20:00:57 UTC

Haha I feel you there. You should try to get a job in an auto plant, if there's one close. Maintenance in a plant like that is sweet as.

2017-11-28 20:01:35 UTC

I would love a nice maintenance job

2017-11-28 20:04:04 UTC

Me too. I love what I do, but the benefits would be nice. And the slower pace would be great.

2017-11-28 20:26:36 UTC

Are you up north?

2017-11-28 20:27:39 UTC

No, I'm in Kentucky

2017-11-28 20:44:23 UTC

I was thinking about electrical maintenance when I get old at a Ford plant or something

2017-11-28 20:44:41 UTC

Move to the Midwest or Middle South and just kick back

2017-11-28 21:01:20 UTC

@John O - right. My dad was the maintenance superintendent of Ford Louisville Automotive Plant. He retired 2 years ago and is getting ready to go back in a couple of weeks making ridiculous money.
My cousin is a machinist and started at Ford Kentucky Truck Plant making really good money, he's 34 and set for life.
My older brother started a few years ago just working the line and he has 4 kids and a stay at home wife.
The automotive industry is good shit. If you want to move to KY I can get you a referral ๐Ÿ˜‚

2017-11-28 21:01:56 UTC

And I love Henry Ford's views of the Jews๐Ÿ˜‚

2017-11-28 21:02:06 UTC

@RevStench if we're still in touch in 10-15 years, hell yeah

2017-11-30 19:27:54 UTC

@RevStench ill move anywhere that pays good so i can provide for a big white family

2017-11-30 19:29:00 UTC

i forgot this server was ๐Ÿ”ฅ

2017-11-30 22:01:10 UTC

I can get you a referral. One of the best jobs in Louisville. Low cost of living here in KY๐Ÿ˜†

2017-11-30 22:20:47 UTC

thanks man ill keep that in mind
i gotta get out of the "chocolate city"

2017-12-01 18:34:03 UTC

<@&338760705945894913> @Bismark TX in IE main server would like an invite

2017-12-04 03:38:25 UTC

This was a good way to merge this server and the students server. Well done. @ThisIsChris
