I’m studying for my state plumbing license now. It’s seriously boring as hell and I hope I never get a chance to use it.
Plumbing is good honest work. Single plumbers in NYC are knocking back $200k a year.
Yea I work with and am friends with them, it’s just not my thing.
Right on. Well try another trade, I've worked in all the trades. Found I like carpentry the best.
I’m a pipe welder
I’m doing the pipe fitter apprenticeship so when I get old and blind I’ll know how to fit.
Haha I feel you there. You should try to get a job in an auto plant, if there's one close. Maintenance in a plant like that is sweet as.
I would love a nice maintenance job
Me too. I love what I do, but the benefits would be nice. And the slower pace would be great.
Are you up north?
No, I'm in Kentucky
I was thinking about electrical maintenance when I get old at a Ford plant or something
Move to the Midwest or Middle South and just kick back
@John O - right. My dad was the maintenance superintendent of Ford Louisville Automotive Plant. He retired 2 years ago and is getting ready to go back in a couple of weeks making ridiculous money.
My cousin is a machinist and started at Ford Kentucky Truck Plant making really good money, he's 34 and set for life.
My older brother started a few years ago just working the line and he has 4 kids and a stay at home wife.
The automotive industry is good shit. If you want to move to KY I can get you a referral 😂
And I love Henry Ford's views of the Jews😂
@RevStench if we're still in touch in 10-15 years, hell yeah
@RevStench ill move anywhere that pays good so i can provide for a big white family

I can get you a referral. One of the best jobs in Louisville. Low cost of living here in KY😆
thanks man ill keep that in mind
i gotta get out of the "chocolate city"
This was a good way to merge this server and the students server. Well done. @ThisIsChris

@Goose we have a <#352761432833523713> channel which would be a good place to start. I’m a Digital Storm guy myself.

Howdy goys, SAS programmer here
Ruby programmer here
Ive been working on a making a few kuksa as chistmas gifts for my parents and sibiling.( Since there doesn't seem to be a woodwork channel, I'm posting it here.)
Progress on the first one. Anyone got tips or tricks? Waiting for a hook knife to come in from Amazon so I can finish up the hollowing. For roughing I've been using a gouge with the kuksa wedged into a log, as I don't have a vice here yet
@RevStench and a few other guys should be able to give you a few pointers
