@Asatru Artist - MD Not really, welfare is an enormous, costly and inefficient bureacratic nightmare due to fraud and income calculations and verifications amongst other things. UBI is a simple monthly or bi-weekly direct deposit.

For the middle class at least, tax credits seems to work better than welfare. Lest we have some kind of idiocracy situation happen due to welfare.

@VinceChaos that doesn't happen overnight. Cost of robot replacement is too high for most firms to pay in the short term. My company has millions in manufacturing equipment and it would be so costly to replace that it would offset any gains by robots for decades. This is the story with most technological advances in machining. It takes a while. Society generally has more time to adapt than we think.
