Tail Spin
LOVED Tail Spin
Do you remember Pirates of the Dark Water?
I have it on DVD...
Very obscure
No way!
>tfw they didn't finish the show so we don't know what happens <:sad:366743316475281408>
๐ซ
Thatโs also how I feel about Deadwood.
Don Karnage was based af
Air pirates, come on that show was great
I had to look that one up.
great IE podcast, just listened
<:awoo:359012181611642890>
Listening now.
I skipped Fuentes to hear what the ladies had to say.
guys
so apparently
when immigrants get deported, they don't get counted in the crime statistics
THIS TOTALLY BTFOS THE ENTIRE NARRATIVE THAT IMMIGRANTS HAVE LOW CRIME RATES
<:galaxybrain:366743669484683264> <:galaxybrain:366743669484683264> <:galaxybrain:366743669484683264>
From 1998 to 2007, 816,000 criminal aliens were removed from the United States because of a criminal charge or conviction. This is equal to about one-fifth of the nationโs total jail and prison population. These figures do not include those removed for the lesser offense of living or working in the country illegally. The removal and deportation of large numbers of criminal aliens may reduce immigrant incarceration rates because many will not return and re-offend, as is the case with many native-born criminals.
Good podcast @ladies
@Asatru Artist - MD @Deleted User Since you were talking about Disney Ducks, thought it might appropriate to share a phot of what I got this in the mail a couple of days ago:
Coincidence? Check out the guy hiding behind the grave.
lol. I did not notice that.
The new episode of the podcast is great - listening now.
His head/nose combo looks perverse.
At might age, it might seem odd to like these books, but I suspect most readers are older than I am. I grew up on it. It's timeless and written in such a way that it is still enjoyable.
And at least I am not a bronie.
We Must Secure The Border And Build A Wall To Make America Safe Again
@Deleted User If only he were rubbing his hands...
Right
I'm looking through studies on immigration and crime and some of them literally use SELF REPORTED CRIME DATA
AHAHAHAHAHA
"hey bro do you do crime?"
"nah man of course not"
@Jacob Right now
On a serious note, I don't think it's productive to flaunt race and crime statistics. Like, some people might be receptive to it, and, if they are, sure, talk to them, but generally it's not a good idea to go up to your friends and be like "did you know that blacks are only 14% of the population, but..."
HOWEVER
"Immigrants commit less crime" is a talking point that we should all be able to refute
They are also probably counting first gen immigrants only, and they would be more careful about committing crime so they don't get deported.
and 2nd gen are citizens, so...
They do an insane amount of the kidnappings in the US.
We basically wouldnโt have kidnappings without them.
Theyโre the blacks of kidnapping
Oof
That's true that a lot of the crime rate is probably suppressed by fear of deportation, however, you have to remember that all the statistics they cite are literally meaningless, since immigrants that commit crime often get deported and don't get counter in the crime statistics
so they commit the crime, get tossed out, and the crime they committed isn't reported? <:sad:366743316475281408>
no it does get reported
It's like Sweden not writing down the race of the criminal when they write reports. It's to cover up reality. ๐
it's just that once they're out of the country, they're not part of the crime statistics
however
you still raise a good point
because
ideally, the government would report crime statistics that include immigrants who got deported
i mean...it *is* crime that happened here, regardless if they are here or not
@Nemets drunk driving
Being awesome
@Asatru Artist - MD that's not how crime statistics are measure, though
Literally one of the only stats I remember whites being higher at was drunk driving.
per capita...
Y'all wanna chat?
Jump in voice
Usually when liberals say immigrants commit less crime, they're either citing incarceration rates, or self reporting crime surveys. Incarceration rates are wrong for the reasons I described above, and self reporting crime surveys are obviously wrong to anyone with at least a double digit IQ
Beans drive drunk in daylight hours
@Tyler0317 I would but I can't do voice right now
ya it's pretty ๐ ฑig gay
yep just checked FBI Table 43. the only stat whites over represent is all of the liquor charges. everything else we are right around our population percentage, and blacks are double to triple their population in every other crime stat.
Imagine my shock...
freaking irish still being counted as White, running up our liquor crime numbers
Drinking our demographic despair away
@Asatru Artist - MD You also have to remember to subtract Hispanics from the white statistic
Liberals also usually quote state numbers instead of federal
I once read an article saying that whites rape more than Hispanics. The author blatantly lied and said he couldn't find data on race and crime, and claimed that the closest thing was data on the race of the victim. Since the victims were more likely to be white, he concluded that whites rape more.
some high intensity weapon + feinstein somehow being involved, neither sound out of the realm of possibility tbh
Mike Tokes might be literally retarded, but he's well connected ๐
Literally victim blaming
Fires aren't real you can't prove me wrong
This was a totally serious article published in Politico
Wow just wow
Politico...
Politico has some good articles
They had one on how immigration harms American workers
Are they framing it as harming blacks though?
Usually some agenda with Politico.
how come only POC talk about white supremacy?
because they know it's real <:teehee:381917632359563264>
No, it was an article by Harvard economist George Borjas
About that photo in <#359019439116648458>: how does anyone know who the h*ll is behind that bedsheet? <:really:453005408064241674>
He makes a lot of good content
Nice, ill give it a read.
This is his blog
A lot of good stuff on here
I'd rather wait for your long TL;DR though @Jacob ๐
@Asatru Artist - MD whites have higher rates of drunk driving first off because they own cars, can afford to drink at bars, and third they live in car dependent sprawled areas. I doubt itโs because theyโre disproportionately irresponsible with alcohol consumption
I'm just saying, hiding behind that bedsheet could be literally any woman.
And violence helps no one, and only emboldens the other side to victimhood.
Plus being drunk and blowing โdrunkโ are often two different things.
Says the Irish chick.
@Dale Wyte Hot take. ๐ค
@Nemets Gotta overdue it so the other Muslims really know you are a Muslim now...
I was thinking a great way to make people think thereโs tons of immigration is to put a burka on whenever I drive around town. Just see how people react. Joking obviously
good, but I still don't want them here.
Islam is cancer.
I've read the Qur'an...
"keeps them separate"...San Bernardino, Orlando, NYC...
Oh okay. The TL;DR on that article is that research has quite consistently shown that when the supply of labor for a specific job rises by 10%, this coincides with a decrease in wages by 3%. Many statistics obscure this effect, because they measure broad categories rather than particular jobs. So, even if immigration does not cause a net decrease in wages, the workers whose fields get flooded with immigrants do experience a significant decrease, while the benefits generally are taken by the employers. So, the most vulnerable workers are harmed, while the only ones to gain significantly are employers. In addition, immigration causes a net fiscal drain after adding up federal, state, and local budgets, and this drain wipes out any net increase. So, essentially, wealth goes up for employers, down for vulnerable workers, and, to make it worse, the gain for the employers is paid for by your tax dollars that get drained from the budget. @Asatru Artist - MD
i'd like *more* separation thanks.
@Jacob I meant the TL;DR you are working on for all this immigration stuff in general, but I'm reading this now. ๐
oh cool
I think we've already sifted through at least 100 studies
This is going to be great once it comes out
See, stories like this make me more sympathetic to the left. ๐
muh evil corporations!
I don't think we're even half way done, though, so it's not coming tomorrow or anything. We really want to make it good. I'm working with one other guy who's not in IE.
oh ya corporations suck
Here is cigarette pepe because heโs never around when you need him
>smoking
day 16 no nic
congrats, keep it up.
issa bitch tbh
we'll all come down to celebrate on day 14** <:teehee:381917632359563264>
can't wait ๐
*stolen*
Gg Sam I quit smoking last year. Still bum a cig now and then from people at big regional events. Im at the point where I can smoke 2-6 in a weekend and not crave any nicotine afterwards.
Down from like, 2 packs a week to 1 pack per year lol
@Papa Pizzagate congrats that is a hard habit to kick takes will power
I have a true hatred for cigarettes, as my dad smoked for my whole life and ended up dying of COPD and heart disease most likely caused by smoking.
@Papa Pizzagate๐
My dad didn't stop smoking until he had a heart attack
At that point it's like a small indulgence and less of a terrible habit. @Sam Southern - TN is on the right path.
First 3 weeks are the hardest
My father's brother died of lung cancer when he was 45, his kids were young children. He smoked a pack a day.
45. Oof. My dad at least made it to 65.
Your father passed from lung cancer? I'm very sorry that you had to suffer through that.
My grandfather made it to 93 for comparison...
His was just old age cause he didn't smoke or anything.
93 is good, I hope to make it that long
He did indulge in box wine and dancing every day until the end. <:chad:359013583469805568>
my great grandparents got to 93 also
Cutting out alc and nic at the same time was a bitch and a half. The physical cravings are gone, but the mental addiction for the nic and the habit is still there in a big way. Congrats on quitting man, and Iโll for sure be bumming a cig or two during national conferences tbh lol @Papa Pizzagate
grandpa got to 89
father's 70 now, had cancer but got through it.
@Nemets why steal food when they get stamps to buy it on our dime? <:really:453005408064241674>
I'm sure they find a way...
imagine if they put that ingenuity to GOOD use.
Have you guys never seen Aladdin?
Eat Recycled Food
It's good for the planet
And okay for you.
Fast and furious but itโs supermarkets @Nemets
these people are fat enough now that they could just hide it in dresses and such probably
Even Disney has the minority stealing food
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN Recycled food? Are we talking like momma birds and baby birds? ๐
@ThisIsChris Link...
@Asatru Artist - MD Quoting the Stallone adaptation of "Judge Dredd." The precise nature of the food was one of many unnerving aspects of the dystopia
Soylent Green @Wood-Ape - OK/MN
@ThisIsChris The brown kid dindu nuffin, it was whitey holding him down.
@ThisIsChris Hans from "Frozen" did nothing wrong. Once he dealt with the lesbian cryomancer and the trolls with suspicious noses that were trying to steal the throne through Kristof & Anna, King Hans would lead a Crusade to Agrabaa to end the Djinn menace once and for all
@Nemets Probably Nikes during hurricanes...
@Asatru Artist - MD brown guy steals from other brown guy in brown run city, yet I'm sure it's still white people's fault
Hans should have saved Anna, or at least tried
For sure
I didn't see frozen may this year, I had been resisting because I didn't want to be like all the people singing the songs. (In hindsight don't know why that bothered me.)
@NateDahl76 No dude, the Trolls were trying to 1.) eliminate humans through Elsa's witchcraft, and/or 2.) control the kingdom through Kristoff marrying Anna. Hans was right, a purge of the Arendale dynasty and troll xenocide is the only option
@Nemets computers, tools, pens, paper, monitors, staplers
<:avtism:359037377919844352>
Kristoff wouldnโt have married Anna dude
She wanted Hans until he BTFOโd her
Trolls are definitely subversive though
@NateDahl76 Trolls were controlling everything, are you woke on the TQ? Evidence suggests they gave Elsa the powers to begin with, knowing she was a ticking time winter
I've been smoking cigars recently and it's waaay less addictive than any form of nicotine I've ever used
Lol some people are trying to quit in here fren
@Nemets "From coin-operated machines" average amount stolen is $508. How is that possible that's 2000 quarters which is going to be extremely heavy
@NateDahl76 If I can get someone to switch from cigarattes to cigars, I'm honestly doing them a service
I live in a house with a 17 month old niece, I have thought a lot about Disney/pixar, whether I wanted to or not
@Jacob yeah I'll have a cigar once in a while, I like them. I was going to have one today to celebrate something but it was snowing cats and dogs outside
@Nemets huh, guess that makes sense.
Whatโs better than cigars is being able to run distances without hating myself as much as before
@Nemets pickpocketing might be more men, purse snatching more women?
@Sam Southern - TN I won't tell you to start cigars if you've already made progress quitting. But if someone's actively smoking cigarettes every day, it's objectively better to smoke cigars.
@Nemets if it's clothes, it could go in that range 260
yes lol
people pay a lot of money for clothes
I don't know what to call them
yeah if you see a women's clothing store that's somewhat higher end (but still found in a normal mall) there will be many things in the 300-500 range
I was going to say "normies" but that's kind of cringe. What do you call someone who follows trends?
transtrender
@Nemets dude people pay that much for regular clothes if they're transtrender
I mean I doubt that people are just stealing one sweatshirt and walking out
If you're going to go through the risk, you take a few things at a time
but I wouldn't be surprised if there are regular articles of clothing that are $260 each
@Nemets here is a something on the lower to middle range of where women's clothing can go when you get above the kohl's level https://www.anthropologie.com/dresses
(my family and I are happy with the kohl's level stuff but I've met plenty of people who are not)
definitely
I never understood why they named a clothing store after the study of human societies and their development
You should really check out local thrift stores.
such a weird thing to do
One near me gives mens' clothes away free, charges 20 cents for women's.
funny talking here things come to mind I haven't thought of in a while. ten years ago half my clothes came from urban outfitters ๐
@Nemets Ya dude I always thought people like this are crazy. I remember when I was in high school I read the statistics on how much students spend on average on prom and it was insane.
So spend some money on your shoes and pants. Thrift store your shirts and even Jackets.
I think in California its only shoplifting if the total number of thefts amount to less than $950, are performed without force or the threat of it, and during normal business hours.
@ThisIsChris The clothes I wear aren't particularly cheap I think, it's just that I don't have a lot of everything
@Jacob that's normal I think, you only need a few changes of clothes when you where underclothing
@Jacob Cigars are great. It was a great intermediate tool from smoking multiple times daily to rewarding myself after a hard week
Even Patrick will smoke the odd cigar on special occasions
Absolutely. It gets you used to taking in nicotine more gradually. After a while, you don't even particularly care about the nicotine and it's just about the flavor.
I donโt defend cigar snobs, but calling all men who smoke them snobs is unfair to the gentlemen gamers of IE who may or may not smoke a nice stoagie
I remember at the NW Forum a few of us were smoking pipes and cigars and Patrick came over to us. I felt like I should offer him something but at the same time I didn't want to give our leader lung cancer. The result was kind of an awkward "you can have some if you want but I'd rather you not get lung cancer".
@Nemets that page you just posted is interesting
@Nemets Presuming the under 18 category has gotten more non-white between 2008 and now, wouldn't this be showing that with more non-whites there was less crime?
@DairyMaxx Ya, I try not to show off with them. Like, I'm not gonna hide in shame, but I try not to flaunt it either.
To be honest, you *should* to some degree care what people think of you.
It's really dumb how libs cite that as evidence that immigration is good
"haha, you're worried about immigrant crime? well crime is actually FALLING"
would have to look at the rate of decrease then
There's a bunch of articles by doctors online about how cigars are just as bad as cigarettes, but I think this is assuming you're going to sit there and chain smoke them like they're cigarettes
This is entirely anecdotal and shouldn't be taken as evidence of anything, but I've had periods in my life where I smoked cigarettes, and the cravings could get brutal. Never had such an experience with cigars.
@Jacob yeah well you don't inhale cigars
@Nemets on the right, hispanic vs non-hispanic?
The argument is that you do subconsciously inhale them a bit, and that they have as much tobacco as a pack of cigarettes. The implication being that it's like inhaling a pack of cigarettes in one sitting. That's a dumb argument, though, because the amount you inhale by doing it subconsciously is only a fraction.
I don't know who created *Pokemon go*, but I'd try to figure out how we get yall to *Pokemon Go the heck to Sleep*
I'm on Pacific time
Yeah mega snow storm here
Definitely not going in to work on time.
Eastern Washingon weather changes crazy fast
It was Summer weather, like, a month ago
And we got our first snow this week
yeah, I was going to tutor someone for the GRE Quantitive Reasoning section tonight, had to cancel due to the snow.
I love it when the snow crunches under my feet
I'll pretend like I know what GRE Quantitative Reasoning is. <:nervous:359009898115104770>
Yeah dude the townships in my area we totally NOT prepared
It's so much nicer to get hit with snow than to have rain like Western Washington does
like, the snow has it's drawbacks, but I would never trade it for rain
I hate rain
@Asatru Artist - MD check it out, what do you think https://www.ets.org/gre/institutions/about/general/quantitative_reasoning_sample_questions/
The GRE is used by people applying to graduate school. A friend wants to pursue a PhD in Philosophy so he doesn't need to be a math expert, but this standardized test does have a math part so he wants some refresher.
yeah, thats the one thing we massively overrepresent
DUI? Probably because whites are disproportionately in the suburbs, with its higher percentage of cars
White men are 60% of the population and commit OVER HALF of all rapes in the country. #BanWhiteMen
nonwhites are more likely to take public transport
Did you know that blacks are only 14% of the population but commit 28% of public transit rides? @ThisIsChris
Eastern Long Island has a public bus system but the only people I've seen use it are hispanics and the enfeebled.
Imagine if Nemets was FBI director
He would have crime statistics sorted by Bantus, Subcons, etc.
