A man on my shield men @Leo AR is having credit card issues and cannot order his pads or chin straps on time. He said he'd check out his local sporting stores but being that Arkansas isn't known for its street hockey, I don't have high hopes that he'll find the leg protection necessary for the demo. Is there any way we can help him out?
Can someone please send the chin strap?
Sure it’s easy to figure out, however I want it the same as everyone else’s.
Out of stock on the chin strap
Yeah that may have been us...
We are keeping an eye on their re-stocking
btw gentlemen Ben MD sent me bump cap that is way better than the ones we've been using. it's much thicker and is almost a helmet in and of itself. In my opinion we should switch over to these:
@Vincent TX I was able to buy the same chinstrap off of a different website.
@all For anyone wanting a new reliable bump cap here is the url: https://tinyurl.com/5h83n85n
@all Gary CA is available for a shield team
Can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it but Lawrence FL has suggested Wayne FL for shield
@Vincent TX Apologies for the delay, here is where I ordered mine from:
Tyler MD is having financial troubles with ordering his gear. If we can try to raise $40 for his gear he’d be able to afford to order it on his own.
@WillRing0009 is his Venmo.
I have cashapp banned from venmo
Someone w Venmo hook him up
@all NW9 and NNMNC will be conducting Joint Drilling operations this weekend. I will choose my team from this pool, and submit here the list of names of good candidates to fill remaining vacancies. In the meantime I would ask that everyone refrain from recruiting members from NC, VA, MD or DE. Thank you
This item has been on gear lists for most of the year. I think having it, and having it with an extra water bottle, should be mandatory for shield teams.
- Water Bottle Belt Holder.
big agree. Camelback or Water Bottle Holder should be mandatory
@Thomas thoughts on having a camelback versus having one of these water bottle holders?
I don't really care, but they both suit the same purpose. This one is potentially half or less of the cost, however.
Also, I think the water should be easy to give to someone else. I'm considering one of you needing to help some wheezing fatass just as much as needing to hydrate yourselves.
Understood. I do believe all shield team members should be carrying extra water in some capacity. Being that camelbacks hold more water for sharing then I would encourage anyone who already has one to plan on wearing his camelback to the demo if he feels comfortable doing so.
Do we have the contact info for all of our "lifestyle recovery chat" gentlemen who're attending so that we can tell them specifically to purchase this water bottle holder for themselves just in case?
If you're a thicc boi those pads are toight.
Dang son. I don't know what to tell ya. You just thicc.
Like peanut butter oatmeal.
Clarke is a sizable figure. As long as the item is functional, you should be fine. If it takes a little breaking in, try to get that done before the event.
Got 5 cans of paint and some sand paper sheets.
@Vincent TX We're swapping Leo AR with John OK on Nathan AR's team in the Vanguard.
Can we add Nathan CA to Anthony UT shield team?
@Thomas on what shield section would someone with high aptitude and agility with great body weight strength but smaller size work best?
Now that all Rear Guard and Vanguard teams have been completed we will need an accurate equipment check.
Both of these teams are required to obtain the following before the event:
Team Leaders need to speak up in this chat with the following;
NAME - SHIELD TEAM SECTION - NUMBER OF MEMBERS WITH ALL EQUIPMENT
EX: Clarke OK - VANGUARD - 4/5
What equipment is required for screens?
Just your uniform
@Vincent TX All shields should also have that bottle holster with an extra bottle of water in it.
How do the chinstrap look visibly? I ordered 10
Got it. Just so you know, people can be on screens without drilling experience if need be. I will remove him.
Yeah I figured something like that would happen. Will fix it. Some guys did a bit of poaching.
If anything Nathan CA can be put on the round and Eric PA can be with me
Yes he is.
@Vincent TX I’d like to add Mark PA to my team and move Josh UT to Anthony UT team
I can add it a little later, working right now
Thank you sir you carry us all
Credit to team
Seeing how long it’s taking to fill these shield slots I’m definitely going to start doing some more focus on guys working out and learning some martial arts.
Hard to believe there's only three people capable of being on a shield team from NW9.
Georgia guys all should have drilled. Lawrence FL could be on a team.
Lawrence would be great for our last shield team leader on screens.
Maybe if he gained 20 pounds
@ND - John WA Being on a shield team isn't doing a cage match MMA brawl. It has more to do with acuity on the ground, drilling, and basic fitness than muscle mass.
Physical capability aside, I wouldn’t put him on shields let alone lead one. Love the guy, but situational awareness and dealing with confrontations is not a strong suit of his at all.
The drills already teach everyone how to deal with confrontations.
@Vincent TX Ask Christopher, who has drilled with him.
Or ignore me lol
You know, the guy’s best friend, known him since I was 15, done years of activism alongside him and seen first hand what he’s good at and isn’t.
I didn't know you drilled with NW16 when they conducted that practice meeting, were you there?
Similarity of Demonstration to Drilling Practices: 100%
Similarity of Stencils, Posters, Banners, Being 15 Years Old to Demonstration: Less than 100%
The drills are designed to resemble the demo. Your outside experience is less relevant in this case. No one is contesting that you're friends with him.
Okay put twiggy on shields team lead
Being on a shield team isn't doing a cage match MMA brawl. It has more to do with acuity on the ground, drilling, and basic fitness than muscle mass.
You just gonna overlook the fact I said he has no situational awareness?
It’s not just fighting
It's not fighting at all, actually. My situational concern is awareness with Christopher's experience drilling with him, which trumps your experience doing anything else with him.
Christopher has given his opinion, and the matter is settled. I appreciate your concern, John.
Ben MD would make for an excellent shield team leader
