@Reinhard Wolff, not everyone is motivated by displays of activism. Some potential members are even afraid of it. Have you considered doing outreach (podcasts, posters, etc.) that emphasize the fraternal side or intellectual side of IE?

It gives them a good chance to inject a bit of joviality, and emphasize their normalcy.
