That might literally kill you
Wait you're drinking water right?
Like you're doing nothing but water?
Not abstaining from water?
oh right
That wording is funny.
Nutrition normies get out reeeeeeee http://chestofbooks.com/health/Isabelle-A-Moser/How-and-When-to-Be-Your-Own-Doctor/Length-Of-The-Fast.html
http://upvir.al/ref/ji11025721 35% off on Wim Hof Method ๐
God I wish that were me
Anyone in VA into sparring? I have a few years of Muy Thai and BJJ under my belt, looking to improve my irl experience.
@duramaxed have you been following our <#388684556863012865> initiative?
We had a fight club running during Spring and Summer. We're taking a bit of a break during the winter but I may want to get together this Sunday.
What part of VA are you in? @duramaxed
Northern Va. but I'm in the Dominican Republic rn with my dad.
Nice. When are you coming back?
In like 5 days. I'm a younin tho only 20 years old hahah
I'm going to college in NC rn but I'm transferring to George mason next year
Oh, nice. Would you want to get together on the morning of the 31st for some sparring if we set that up?
This was our last winter session.
Ok who was larping as a bear and who was larping as a viking?
TWP was the bear as I recall.

Wow Skyrim still looks pretty great even after 6 years!
ive been watching this video for years and it still gets me every time
For those that don't know the story - at 2:20 are clips of Jacare winning one of his world titles against Roger Gracie (probably the GOAT). Jacare was caught in an arm bar with only a minute or two left, and he let Roger break his arm. Jacare was still up on points so after he wriggled his broken arm free, he tucked it into his belt and was able to keep Roger away until time expired
get your T levels checked if you havent already
Cheapest test I've found.
@Jeb! Nationalism - MD great video
Scored some weightlifting shoes from the parents
You better break all your PRs now
Those are some high quality shoes m8
Good God I want those shoes!
@duramaxed Im in Norfolk. Close enough. Mason is a good school.
Just did a squat session with them. These shoes are the shit 10/10 would recommend
Don't wear those in a black neighborhood or they will steal them right off your feet
One of the most well put together WN cinema and it's great before a workout to raise those t levels
Isn't Wim Hof basically a con artist? Someone give me the quick rundown on him
Workout. Steam room. Shower. Protein shake. English tea. I struggle to imagine that there can be a better recipe for the makings of a well lived day.

Well that and crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you, and hearing the lamentations of their women. But otherwise, yeah.
Or as @Suomi Stronk might say, โThe open steppe, a fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.โ
You talking shit there boss? @Reinhard Wolff
I'm just trying to honor your customs.
๐
Gonna be on this livestream soon with Byron de la Vandal and Blacke Lucca. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yWXUsAc8aM
Waking up and doing pushups until you can't anymore is literally the best way to start your day.

Iโm gonna @everyone this as a PSA to you younger guys. So, Iโm going back and watching the early days of the UFC. At about 1996 - 1998, long after Royce Gracie left his mark on the game, the โUber-Bodyโ athletes took over. Steroids were obviously abound but, in any event, for about a year or so, the UFC was dominated by hyper-muscled men with body fat of between 6 and 9 percent. They smashed everyone they faced within 2 minutes, and they looked like Greek statues chiseled from stone.
...
However, by the end of 1997 (Iโm at UFC 16 right now), something became pretty apparent. If you could survive these guys for five minutes, their stamina PLUMMETED dramatically. I mean, to the point of where at minute 7 or so, they would literally be getting punched in the face and were too tired to lift their hands up.
...
I look at their physiques, and they look like professional body-builders. Every vein popping. Do you have any idea how much oxygen it takes to fuel all that muscle mass? It also takes some body fat. By 1998, the Muhammad Ali body style (about 10-15 percent body fat) was back in full control.
...
Case and point, either be an elite body builder or an elite warrior. You canโt be both.
Very true, gotta make sure you do your cardio too
McGregor lost his boxing match because of cardio
It's a balancing act, really
McGregor is a perfect example.
You need to have the strength to fight (Via Muscle Mass) but the lungs to keep going.
I actually have you in mind @Suomi Stronk. Footballers tend to burst then rest. But what if you have to burst then no rest?
You have a very low body fat. Well sub@10
I ran into this issue a lot in wrestling, as I had the strength to get most people in either the first or second period, but if it went into the third I was gassed.
Yeah
It just depends what your strategy is. Either overwhelm your opponent quickly or wait him out until an opportunity opens up.
It depends on what energy system you train during exercise
Well, you can overwhelm with more than 9 percent body fat.
I just bought an exercise bike ๐
How do you find the balance so you can fuel yourself?
In 2018 I really want to take up running and swimming to supplement my weight training
Back in 9th grade though I was a younger lad, I was in the best shape of my life and could run a mile in 5 minutes. And I would love to get back to that but also have the strength of a Greek god haha
Did someone say cardio? Time to shill our Strava club again @everyone . DM me your Strava name and I'll send an invite. https://www.strava.com/clubs/GaryYounge
Haha dude if you can run a mile that fast you definitely do not have much mass, but that is FAST
What is strava @Argument of Perigee
Strava is a running/cycling fitness tracker.
I can't decide if that's good or bad. I don't like having to choose between speed or strength
Hey man just gotta make the best of what you have been given right? I am thin too and can run a mile in 6 min, but part of me has wished I was a little bigger. But at the end of the day, I try to make the best of what I've been given
@Pat-MA I just want to be in the best physical shape I can be in. I think I rather be lean and mean fast than not be able to touch my shoulders ๐
Dude running a mile in 5 min is wicked fast. That is something to take pride in. Most people could never be physically capable of doing that
Muscles need to be useful, not just pretty. I strongly believe that a well balanced physique is far more attractive than someone who builds muscle just for asthetics.
You mean *this* gary younge?
haha, yup
Yeah. It is definitely good to have an athletic, fit body. Doesn't have to be loaded with muscle to be effective
I'm British. ---- No...
It also depends on what martial art / fighting style you use. If you're a wrestler, you expend energy in short spurts to slam someone or perform a takedown then you can rest by grappling with them and tying them up. However if you box, A LOT of cardio is needed.
Yeah and Im Bantu
@Pat-MA I agree. I want to have an atheletic body more than looking like a body builder. And yes definitely I want to train to be that fast again. It's been a few years and few pounds heavier though lol.
Haha hey never too late though!
@Argument of Perigee r u in the oathkeepers militia thing?
@Koba#0202 I am.
What's it like?
fwiw, 10 or so years ago I ran long distances (30+ miles a day) and biked ultras (200+ a day) and then started focusing on lifting. I know that is excesive so don't do that but a) I feel so much better lifting even now as an old man and b) I receive so much more respect/attention (not in a vanity way) benching 350 than i even did biking 200 miles from men and women alike.
but just like everyone said, all round fitness is the key as much as possible
I haven't lived close to any of the significant issues they targeted for activism, so my membership has been extremely passive. Mostly just pay dues and read newsletters. I'm still active duty, so I can't really go do things with them very easily. @Deleted User
@eastern.patriarch How did running all those miles affect your lower body? Any injuries today?
gotcha @Argument of Perigee
No, I never had any major injuries. I always squatted and kept my posterior chain strong so no IT band or such injuries. Took time off when needed. The only drawback tbh is that it made me super fucking fat. What happens is that when you get good at it, a 30 mile bike ride seems like a waste of time. a 5 mile run? Why bother? So my caloric input when working out at that level were yuuge. Then i had kids so no more eduro for 50 hours a week but guess what, forgot to cut my calories from 5K soooo.... ๐ Anyway, longwinded explanation but if I could do it again I would lift more and keep eduro stuff low but then again I did it because back then I was in a rough spot personally so it really helped me drain myself physically and emotionally.
@here are some videos of our meeting today, in a high temperature of 19 degrees Farenheit. Me, @Reinhard Wolff, @Matthias, and @Jeb! Nationalism - MD were the only ones who posted, but we had a lot of fun. The first fifteen minutes were really cold but, once we got rolling, we warmed right up!
Thank you for the uploads Will
Nice!
@Matthias Of course brother. You look pretty good. That high guard can be a pretty effective base defense. I also think it's really important to have a CEO who can scrap, even though we are a peaceful organization.
