@queefburgler also, I when I hit the gym everyday, I was dead tired. I got off work anywhere from midnight to 2 am. But I still went to the gym after work. Basically just gotta keep yourself motitvated.

What would be the best thing to do to get better overall at running? Sprinting short distances? Jogging long distances? Some mixture?

Does anyone have advice on how to stay motivated while working out? I always seem to get really motivated for 3-5 days but then I just stop. It's really frustrating.
You have to force yourself into a routine, once it kicks in it become habit

But maybe mix up the workouts a bit to keep from getting bored or stale

i can only agree with the carrier+rucksack combo, never go jogging without those two + some waterbottles and whatever extra weight i can find.

After years of body weight training at home, I have finally decided to start going to the gym with a more experienced friend. Any advice for a beginner?
Start slow with heavy weight, focus on form
Once your form is good then go heavy
But until you have good form dont hurt yourself

I walk everywhere been like that since I weighed 400+ lbs think I walked 6 to 8 miles a day and just did yard work aka mowing and cutting trees helped alot
