Training is more important than gear IMO

There is a lot of training that can be done without specific gear

Boots are essential

Most people i come across have a very basic knowledge of firearms let alone tactics. Most have never been on a dynamic range only shot at indoor gun ranges and in the backyard shooting bottles and paper targets.

When i bring them to my range their whole perspective is changed. Everyone says "i really need training" after a day of shooting and moving

Field check in ng your gear is essential. I have a closet full of crap that seemed cool but didnt work for me in the real world. But train with what you got until you can upgrade

My advice is, buy quality over quantity. Then add as needed. Try on your buddy's gear and see if it works for you. If all you can afford is alice gear then fine just dont buy it just to buy it. Save your cash for quality when you can get it.

So you trained on a single action double action, is that what you want to stick to or are you ipen to striker fire piatols such as glocks

I trained on the M9 and 226. I carried an HKUSP for conceal because they are DA/SA but now i carry SIG 320.

Then get a glock. Cant go wrong.

Go to a gunstore with a range and get a few rentals in the range of what you are looking for. Shoot them and make informed decision.

Each person needs to choose their own gun.

I hate shooting glocks but the grip angle is a glock philosophy of shooting that a lot subscribe to. Its just not for me

Then theres price range youll have to consider.

One issue with CZ and other pistols is availability of parts and repair. Especially during the boog

Im not so certain about that. Ammo will be around as long as there are industrious people with solutions. Copper, powder and lead are a common commodity.

300 blk is getting popular enough that i also have an upper for my ar to swap between 223 and 300 blk

Unless you have a suppressor theres better calibers out there with better ballistics.

308 has the most ballistic info than just about any other round. It covers more than what you will use it for. Is the softest shooting rounds vs 300 wm or bigger. Better barrel life if shooting often or for competitions. Etc...

When i lived in MI the cops there were too busy getting shot at to deal with speed traps
