I actually ended up missing the fireside since I was performing some violin pieces. Beautiful European classical pieces and also a Civil War piece (was composed afterward but in the style). Do yourselves all a favor and see a live symphony perform some time.

I was in one for a while, and it helped me connect to my European roots musically.

About that “woke” white woman above. I find that women typically conform to their surrounding peers. Women will also completely flip script if in a relationship with a strong male, reflecting completely his beliefs. I think this was a survival mechanism andantes long ago. Much of the world has benefited from colonialism, in the long run.
