Visited Fort Nathan Hale, named after the official Connecticut state hero. Captain Nathan Hale was a teacher who joined the American Revolution as a spy, later captured and executed by the British at the young age of 21. Before his death he famously stated: "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."

Paid visit to the site where a confederate fountain was removed in August 2017. This was the only confederate monument in the northwest.
