NOT politically Correct homey
I think perhaps they should rethink that to some degree. Possibly by creting more ways that married people can serve the church.
A good woman is a woman that loves God, abhors evil, listens to Christ, and understand that men and women are both worse than the other.
There's other ways to serve God outside the catholic priesthood... well maybe. I don't know, do catholics think that protestants can still be saved?
Yeah, well then that's something else the catholics are completely wrong about. They are not the gatekeepers to Christ and _rrrrrrrrrreally_ need to think twice about that attitude.
I used to live in South Korea.
I was in 1/72 AR, Camp Casey, in Dongducheon
I'm with you on that. I don't completely hate all of the catholic church or the way that it is organized, but I think there are even a lot of people working in the catholic church that don't really believe in God, but instead are more focused on the humanitarian aspects of what the church does. That isn't necessarily bad, but it IS missing the point.
Yes, since Obama won it at the least.
Obama won it for not being George W. Bush
Yea, but you have to win against Koreans to win money in starcraft, and _they don't screw around_.
It might be. I think that's pretty cool actually.
Flying In A Blue Dream
@Legalize just ordered Pilot Elite 95, EF
Yeah, the Pilot uhhh Iroshizuku black
I rather like their purplish blue ink, but I'm mostly a black or red writer.
Pencils are my instrument of choice, but there are others I like also. I'm rather fond of my Pentel Libretto gel in 0.3mm
The Pilot G2 is a good write. I particularly enjoy their uncommon and hard-to-find 0.38mm size.
I've only more recently bought some "cheapies" to try out and see if they were worth it. I'm going to start a pencil review channel on youtube soon.
My political channel is okay. Super amateurish. I haven't really been able to keep up with it since I moved, and lately I've been more mused by other things.
@pussydestroyer Enough to support a wife and child usually ranges around 30k - 45k depending on geography. The trouble is that when a woman makes 60k/year 40k/year for a man is _not_ attractive.
I would call you women vain and shallow for having such an opinion, but that's just the nature of how we are as a species really. I'd have to get mad at myself for finding slim waists and wide hips attractive. That's just what I'm wired for.
If you ask anyone on the left these days though. 150% of all possible responsibilities fall to the man.
You're not a "real man" unless you work constantly, give all your money to your woman, and praise her constantly regardless of how far she lets herself go.
But I feel like being bitter and venomous.
So the other thing that women these days are unhappy about is when a man complains, like right now. I just want to do a little griping, but apparently...
A real man should only ever be productive and shut his fucking mouth.
clearly, I need some food... angry fox is angry ๐
I dunno, a concervative cul-de-sac sounds kind of nice. Like a small rural section where we're all concervative and live close enough to keep an eye on eachother's safety without being close enough to hear spousal arguments.
And can all help secure the area in case of zombies.
There's a lot of mutual misunderstandings between catholic and non-catholics
I have more that I agree with in regard to catholics than I do which I disagree with, but there no way I will ever be catholic.. There's some serious points of contention I have with the catholic church, but I am happy that they love Christ.
I have serious problems with numerous "protestant" churches as well.
The catholics have a point in that there should be more organization/structure with the church, but I think they are entirely too rigid with some things and I think they have the _wrong idea_ with some other things regarding their role.
Protestants counter the rigidity of the catholic church by establishing their own communities. This works in a number of ways can be good an bad. Sometimes the substitute the rigid and unforgiving catholic method with their own rigid an unforgiving method. Protestant churches are a little more free to develop in to cult-like communities which can range from benign to dangerous. Protestants also have these bizarre arguments with eachother over a lot of minutiae which I just don't understand why so much of it is _so important_ that you felt compelled to fracture and start your own church elsewhere.
However there's a lot of division even in the roman catholic church over minutiae also which isn't widely talked about and I think that may be because there's an orthodoxy for disagreements in the catholic church.
@A. Spader cheers
Precisely. I've learned a lot more about catholicism since my mother converted to catholicism, so it's been kind of interesting. But uhh. well.. there's other things that have pushed me further away from catholicism, and I dont' think it's a incidental that my mother and I are no longer speaking.
Touche, well played Spader.
I dunno how old would my hypothetical child be when (s)he converted to islam?
Because if they were in advanced adulthood and converted I would try to talk them out of it to a point before I'd just have to wash my hands of the responsibility. If they were young adults, or adolescent and converted to islam I would feel that I had completely failed them as a father.
true
A lot of young women will say they want a kind, gentle, sensitive and caring man, but if they have the opportunity to enter a relationship with the hyper-masculine highschool football quarterback jock then fugetaboutit.
The truth is that women are not attracted to soy boys, and if they are it's for reasons that aren't healthy in a relationship such as effeminate men being more likely to be manipulated and cajoled in to submission. (in general. Ladies I'm not talking about you personally)
BDSM is complex. There are healthy and unhealthy categories within it the same as with most other human relationships.
Oh that's not really what I would consider an alpha.
Really the whole alpha and beta dynamic is not completely well adapted human characteristic paradigms. I mean I would consider a someone like Robert Oppenheimer, Bob Ross, Thomas Sowell, Bill Burr, and Tom Brady all to be alpha males. They are/were at a pinnacle of _competency_ within their own domains, and were strong, independent, and successful.
if I don't finish building a Mk.18, I may get a Glock model 40 to replace my 20.
long slide, long barrel, factory cutout for RMR. 10 millimeter is best millimeter.
Shoot I already did.
At the medina gun show in Ohio.
Gun shows aren't what they were about 12 years ago.
I've actually sold a lot of guns lately. I don't know if it's a getting older thing or changing hobbies but I've gotten tired of having tools that sit around and have no practical use. It's rare that I can make it to the range, and the number of people to go with has dwindled considerably.
I used to do basic training. I instructed when I was a navy Gunner's Mate. I'm pretty rusty though. Young people keep changing all the "theories" and now there's a few different techniques in vogue.
I'm more of a pragmatist, not an operator.
I may seek some more emplyment in gun world after I move from Cleveland Ohio, but right now I work for a dairy co-op as a driver, and actually I like that a lot.
I just need to get involved with a militia team again.
gunsmithing industry, or training industry?
There's still ways you can get in to it.
Practice, and knowledge, really. There's plenty of military fudds.
So the military thing is a credential, but doesn't mean a lot in all cases.
There's lots of training schools you can go to for firearms via NRA, and plenty of other advanced schools out there. I'd also say taking armorer's classes is valuable.
Depending on your age, you might could still get in the military but I don't honestly know if I recommend that these days or not, sadly.
I don't know what the now military is like. I got out 11 years ago.
The navy back then was getting _super_ retarded, and it isn't obvious to me from what I hear it's gotten better.
And the army? Well I went from Navy to Army after my first contract, and there's some things I liked a little more but plenty of things I liked a lot less.
Most of any MOS even the really high speed ones you won't be doing a whole lot of cool guy stuff from day to day.
You do on occasion.

I don't see why everyone is so worried about a shooting over the joker movie. Theaters are gun free zones. Problem solved
I honestly don't know for certain, but I imagine that Matt Christiansen probably knows, and he or a proxy of hiis may have added you to the "subscriber" role for thiis Discord.
This _is_ his official discord, ya?
Hello Matt

I have to get going to work in a little bit.
Hey if you're a midwest nerd like me, then you probably like mst3k. Tonight's episode is Devil Fish, starring Real Actual Floridians. https://youtu.be/eqsYyFRMVWA
mystery science theater 3000 anyone?
It depends on what you mean by "morals".
Jesus encouraged people to give to others what they could afford to give, even if it was inconvenient, but he said to give freely, not at the point of a sword.
Yes i guess that's capitalistic? He didn't say to _force_ others to give away what they earned.
If you arent doing something voluntarily, then what does it actually mean?
Well. If you created a robot which you wanted to have an intellect, which means it could reason and understand, would you want for it to just obey you without consideration, or would you want it to willingly contend with existence and voluntarily choose to talk to you because it actually liked you?
Lately ive liked the new american standard and the holman
Would you want to test the intelligence of something you know for a fact can never disobey?
I played mass effect 1. I made a soldier. He was pretty good at ignoring damage and shooting badguys.
Would the universe be less interesting without humans?
@DJ_Anuz it d3pends on if the universe is capable of noticing I guess ๐
Isn't carbon dating less effective than we thought?
