Lol yellow vest protestors have a bigass yellow and black anarchy sign

2019-10-04 16:34:04 UTC

Glad I decided to check in on that. Was not expecting ancap rep in Europe

2019-10-04 16:35:54 UTC

@Gunner Fox gonna sell the g20?

2019-10-04 16:36:06 UTC

I'm in the market for one in 4-6 months

2019-10-04 16:37:45 UTC

Shoot I already did.

2019-10-04 16:37:56 UTC

At the medina gun show in Ohio.

2019-10-04 16:38:47 UTC

nah you good

2019-10-04 16:39:01 UTC

going to a local gun show in a week and a half

2019-10-04 16:39:13 UTC

generally they suck but occasionally there's good finds there

2019-10-04 16:39:36 UTC

Gun shows aren't what they were about 12 years ago.

2019-10-04 16:40:26 UTC

yeah the internet sorta pulled the rug out from under em

2019-10-04 16:41:00 UTC

and the obama years *sucked* since you had fudds selling 22lr. for 16cpr like vultures

2019-10-04 16:41:00 UTC

I've actually sold a lot of guns lately. I don't know if it's a getting older thing or changing hobbies but I've gotten tired of having tools that sit around and have no practical use. It's rare that I can make it to the range, and the number of people to go with has dwindled considerably.

2019-10-04 16:41:28 UTC

oof

2019-10-04 16:41:41 UTC

do you do training or take classes?

2019-10-04 16:43:07 UTC

I used to do basic training. I instructed when I was a navy Gunner's Mate. I'm pretty rusty though. Young people keep changing all the "theories" and now there's a few different techniques in vogue.

2019-10-04 16:43:25 UTC

I'm more of a pragmatist, not an operator.

2019-10-04 16:43:39 UTC

mmmk

2019-10-04 16:43:54 UTC

I asked since that seems to be the way a few guys I know stay interested

2019-10-04 16:44:48 UTC

I may seek some more emplyment in gun world after I move from Cleveland Ohio, but right now I work for a dairy co-op as a driver, and actually I like that a lot.

2019-10-04 16:45:02 UTC

I just need to get involved with a militia team again.

2019-10-04 16:45:11 UTC

lit af

2019-10-04 16:45:55 UTC

I want to get into the industry but I'm a) not an engineer b) not mil or ex mil and c) poor

2019-10-04 16:46:01 UTC

makes it kinda hard

2019-10-04 16:46:12 UTC

gunsmithing industry, or training industry?

2019-10-04 16:46:26 UTC

training

2019-10-04 16:47:47 UTC

There's still ways you can get in to it.

2019-10-04 16:48:17 UTC

Practice, and knowledge, really. There's plenty of military fudds.

2019-10-04 16:48:42 UTC

So the military thing is a credential, but doesn't mean a lot in all cases.

2019-10-04 16:50:31 UTC

yes and no

2019-10-04 16:50:46 UTC

like all industries, marketing is pretty important

2019-10-04 16:51:03 UTC

there's alot of folks that can't really respect you if you weren't in the service

2019-10-04 16:51:14 UTC

just speaking from experience

2019-10-04 16:51:40 UTC

There's lots of training schools you can go to for firearms via NRA, and plenty of other advanced schools out there. I'd also say taking armorer's classes is valuable.

2019-10-04 16:52:11 UTC

Depending on your age, you might could still get in the military but I don't honestly know if I recommend that these days or not, sadly.

2019-10-04 16:52:29 UTC

I don't know what the now military is like. I got out 11 years ago.

2019-10-04 16:53:01 UTC

The navy back then was getting _super_ retarded, and it isn't obvious to me from what I hear it's gotten better.

2019-10-04 16:53:04 UTC

it's certainly not too late

2019-10-04 16:53:15 UTC

I've just been heavily cautioned against it

2019-10-04 16:53:40 UTC

And the army? Well I went from Navy to Army after my first contract, and there's some things I liked a little more but plenty of things I liked a lot less.
