Yeah, that's what I thought of when you said it.
I like it.
Thankfully we're a _little_ better off than them at the moment.
Yup. Some pieces have been written.
@Gimlet true
Even the most apocalyptic estimates don't put us at 9% until after 2110
Yeah.
We may stave off the genocide for a few more years with our big, beautiful steel-slat-barrier-thing.

Sorry I assumed you were Mormon. As a generic Amerikaner I am low key jealous of Mormons' accelerated ethnogenesis
How was the speech?
Heh. Yeah, the demographics in Utah are doing _okay_ currently, but it isn't trending well.
I thought maybe we should do a dramatic countdown clock activity. It might make people think.
@ExternalPepsi nothing important happened, more of the "pls maam pls gibs wall" from daddyT
The speech wasn't a total black pill, but it wasn't impressive by any means. As long as he doesn't cave, I suppose it's a win.
So it's not worth watching then?
Meh. More of the same. He did use some very good normie-tier rhetoric, though.
It's only ten minutes, regardless.
It's short, yeah.
I'm *hoping* it's a prelude to serious action on the wall.
I think it was old hat to us, but what he achieved was getting it in front of a wider audience
Yeah, it was the right move. I seriously wonder if his aides listen to FTN.
How was the speech on the wall?
Scroll up a bit
I don't mean that rudely, but you can find some good discussion on the subject just above
In summary it was decent but alone lacking
We need more, obviously.
If the speech was a prelude to something greater, then good. If it wasn't, then...
then it was just talk
I was honestly half expectinghim to give up on the wall in this talk and try to pass it as him being nice
So tbh while I think it was stupid. Could have been worse. However, that doesn't excuse it.
@Zilna Jestov i like your clock idea. does anyone have good demographic projections for 2100-ish?
I dunno I think throwing statistics at people isn't a good way to bring them over to our side, I think Trump should have used arguments that were a bit stronger and more developed rather than throwing out stats. On the other hand I thought his use of the anecdotes about illegals murdering people was very well done because it's more relatable to the average voter than cold statistics.
we're all hitting on the same thing: the talk was _weak_
It was too short, and not pointed enough.
and it couldn't afford to be weak
Well, a strong talk wouldn't change much. We need action.
But yes, I was expecting it to be longer.
But future actions have the potential to validate it.
I want my 8 minutes of life back. I was promised something good!
