My psychotherapist is very good. If you tell them upfront about your religious and political opinions and how you won't sway on them, they are a lot more reasonable.

@Right Bauer In theory that makes sense. The whole point of a psychologist is they discuss your problems with you without being judgmental. That's what they're paid to do.

But you know that a lot of them don't actually do that.

My first psychologist disapproved of my politics and I had to ditch him.

There are therapists who intentionally- and unethically- push a liberal agenda, and others who just assume "everyone" sees diversity as our strength. I've got to hope there are at least a few like me out there who are advocates for white wellbeing- perhaps those who came to our views after their training and remained in the field.
