Then I look at the nature of the problem. What kind of curveballs might pop up? In basic English, what approaches can I take to solve it?

2017-09-02 03:34:55 UTC

then I look at my knowledge set and see if I have the tools to tackle it. If not, I do some research to see if there's something I can add to my repertoire. The bad news is that "technology" as a field is growing impossibly fast and it's a big struggle to keep up-to-date

2017-09-02 03:35:23 UTC

The good news is that once you reach a certain extent of knowledge, picking up new stuff becomes much, much easier

2017-09-02 03:36:21 UTC

So, personally, if I'm making an open-ended CRUD webapp, I'll typically go with Python's Flask web framework and a relational database.

2017-09-02 03:37:03 UTC

I'll step up to Postgres if I need to use the JSON capability, if it's going to be heavy-duty, and/or if I'm going to need to do anything geospatial. If it's simple I'll stick with MySQL.

2017-09-02 03:38:00 UTC

If it's a webapp that's going to be simple and novel I'll probably explore using a NodeJS-based solution with document storage

2017-09-02 03:39:01 UTC

If it's a Windows desktop app, I'll probably consider C# first, though I'm starting to like the idea of using Electron (a nodeJS framework for building cross-platform desktop apps)

2017-09-02 03:39:23 UTC

C# is a beautiful language, but the best characterization I've heard of it is "a laser rifle strapped to a donkey"

2017-09-02 03:39:34 UTC

it's not very useful outside of a windows context

2017-09-02 03:40:03 UTC

If it's a basic-bitch linux command-line program, I'll probably go with Python

2017-09-02 03:40:23 UTC

But I've written some stuff in NodeJS, especially if launching other processes is involved.

2017-09-02 03:40:36 UTC

*fin*

2017-09-02 03:40:45 UTC

questions?

2017-09-02 03:42:59 UTC

Where does C++ fit into all this?

2017-09-02 03:43:12 UTC

I don't personally use it.

2017-09-02 03:43:34 UTC

@Deleted User Do you understand the concept of low- and high-level languages?

2017-09-02 03:53:13 UTC

Maybe? What is Haskell? High or low? Is Assembly a language or...?

2017-09-02 03:56:01 UTC

Assembly is a language

2017-09-02 03:56:06 UTC

it's as low-level as you can get

2017-09-02 03:56:20 UTC

So basically everything boils down to processor instructions

2017-09-02 03:56:48 UTC

The closer you are to writing processor instructions, the more "low-level" you are

2017-09-02 03:57:14 UTC

Basic or Qbasic?

2017-09-02 03:57:15 UTC

so a language like Python is very high-level. You're far away from dealing in processor instructions. You don't have to manage memory

2017-09-02 03:57:29 UTC

basic is lower-level than something like C# or Python

2017-09-02 03:57:41 UTC

but in its time it was pretty high-level

2017-09-02 03:57:41 UTC

that feels right re Basic...

2017-09-02 03:57:53 UTC

and C?

2017-09-02 03:58:25 UTC

much lower level than most languages

2017-09-02 03:58:32 UTC

you have to manage memory in C

2017-09-02 03:58:58 UTC

Why do you think Linus Torvalds chooses C with all it's faults vs C++ or some other language?

2017-09-02 03:59:11 UTC

The tradeoff is that C is very fast and can run in a great number of environments

2017-09-02 03:59:17 UTC

Nothing wrong with C, really

2017-09-02 03:59:21 UTC

just tradeoffs

2017-09-02 04:00:18 UTC

Have you ever used rundeck or something like docker?

2017-09-02 04:00:44 UTC

I've messed around with Docker, but haven't yet found the opportunity to use it in practice

2017-09-02 04:00:52 UTC

it's a very cool concept. do you have any basic questions about it?

2017-09-02 04:02:31 UTC

@Deleted User: Thanks for posting this. Using CoinBase, I might have contributed to the legal fund of certain Alt-Right defendant(s) -none of whom are convicted of anything! Mysteriously, I got a message from Uber that I was not supposed to use thier services for anti-Dieversity efforts. And then I got a message from Coinbase that I was being suspended, with zero reason given. For a process that is supposed to be untraceable and confidential, and LEGAL, I was astounded how our civil rights are erroded by the coorporate oligarchs that effectively rule ZOG.

2017-09-02 04:02:59 UTC

No tbh my main curiosity is what people outside my normal sphere are using and how. I find it useful to see these utilities from a different perspective and how I can go about things differently.

2017-09-02 04:03:19 UTC

@CharlesLaurence -CA they specifically said "anti-diversity"?

2017-09-02 04:03:52 UTC

I forget exactly, but essentially YES.

2017-09-02 04:04:12 UTC

@Placidseven - MO That's one of the best ways to learn once you're actively developing. How about you? What do you use and how do you approach problem-solving?

2017-09-02 04:04:20 UTC

@CharlesLaurence -CA good grief. insanity.

2017-09-02 04:04:37 UTC

I told them the only persons who are getting discriminated agains are Christian Bakers. It went to a dead-link email

2017-09-02 04:04:48 UTC

@CharlesLaurence -CA out of curiosity, why did you choose to use coinbase instead of managing your own wallet?

2017-09-02 04:04:52 UTC

of courrrrrrse

2017-09-02 04:08:43 UTC

It was my first time buying bitcoin, and everywhere I looked it said I needed a wallet.

2017-09-02 04:09:17 UTC

I have several books on Bitcoin and blockchain. Would you be interested in them?

2017-09-02 04:09:25 UTC

One is a "getting started" book

2017-09-02 04:10:44 UTC

Currently I use mostly php and python w/ sql db. We have a rather large portal web app with redundant servers and sql databases. The portal also uses JavaScript which I haven't delve into yet.
I am developing tools for the web app. I am currently teaching myself node.js in favor of it's multitasking ability and mongodb for its ability to create data structure on the fly. Which will work nicely once I start working on the api.

2017-09-02 04:11:35 UTC

Would you like a NodeJS book that was immensely useful for me when I was learning?

2017-09-02 04:11:57 UTC

Yeah what's it called?

2017-09-02 04:12:15 UTC

NodeJS the right way

2017-09-02 04:12:29 UTC

thanks I'll check it out

2017-09-02 04:12:44 UTC

I will mail it to you. PM incoming

2017-09-02 04:12:55 UTC

Seriously?

2017-09-02 04:13:20 UTC

I thought you meant give me the name of the book... not a physical copy

2017-09-02 04:17:11 UTC

@AshBrighton-AL, No thanks on the books. I'm gonna just send cash in the mail Never a problem with that, and you never get shoa'd .

2017-09-02 04:17:33 UTC

cool

2017-09-02 04:18:09 UTC

just FYI though, you don't need a third-party to handle your wallet. You can do it entirely on your own and that will prevent you from getting blacklisted for the most part

2017-09-02 04:20:28 UTC

It was an enlightening experience to get shoa'd for such a trivial exercise of rights. And I have only ever used Uber like once this year. How they though I was in Charlotteville or whatever is beyond me. The point is, Google holds all the data, they hate thought criminals, and we need to be mindful that they hate us.

2017-09-02 04:21:45 UTC

absolutely. your story is probably the most egregious example of cross-platform clampdown that I'm aware of

2017-09-02 04:28:15 UTC

I need to look into managing my own wallet. I was looking to start investing some of what I've been putting in my IRA into crypto.

2017-09-02 04:28:58 UTC

@CharlesLaurence -CA thanks for the heads up.

2017-09-02 04:36:49 UTC

Is there a wallet for the alt-right? Or that is alt-right recommended?

2017-09-02 04:37:49 UTC

Technically a "wallet" is its own entity. It's integral to the bitcoin concept. There doesn't have to be a third party involved.

2017-09-02 04:38:40 UTC

I'm going to PM you a book that explains it nicely.

2017-09-02 04:39:13 UTC

@Deleted User Thanks. Looking to get some coin

2017-09-02 04:48:00 UTC

I guess this would be under techie stuff, anybody here a ham radio operator. I'd like to get in to it, but i am electronically retarded.

2017-09-03 02:44:12 UTC

I'm taking tutorial/explanation requests. Hit me.

2017-09-03 13:07:31 UTC

Openvpn for a secure connection when connected to public wifi and managing/accessing local network remotely.

2017-09-03 13:08:42 UTC

Not sure if that's to basic.... trying to think of things that will be useful to a wider audience @Deleted User

2017-09-03 15:38:00 UTC

@CharlesLaurence -CA#4176 I just use Coinbase to buy and sell, after you buy just move it to a private wallet and go from there. Exodus.io makes a good wallet. You don't have to sync the blockchain, and you have your private keys. If you don't have private keys you don't really have your coins.

2017-09-03 15:43:14 UTC

@Deleted User that'd be a good tutorial. Setting up a private wallet.

2017-09-03 16:35:00 UTC

So keeping your private keys in a USB is best? How to secure those

2017-09-03 18:44:04 UTC

Encrypt it for sure

2017-09-04 00:16:32 UTC

@dog0fwar you should always write down your private key and keep it in a safe place. Probably millions of $ worth of BTC are gone forever because wallet holders didn't physically record their keys.

2017-09-04 19:18:04 UTC

Woah

2017-09-06 03:47:28 UTC

Yeah man. Between boneheaded mistakes and people dying without proper planning/communication, it's almost certainly on the order of millions given the current value of BTC.

2017-09-07 04:04:57 UTC

Any other good free places online to learn js, besides code academy?

2017-09-07 04:05:31 UTC

Hope this doesn't sound condescending, but have you tried your browser console?

2017-09-07 04:05:56 UTC

How would you classify your current level of knowledge? That will help me steer you.

2017-09-07 04:10:09 UTC

I gotta go pretty soon, but I'd recommend this as a good starting point if you're new to the language:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/JavaScript

2017-09-07 04:10:21 UTC

I can also provide a bunch of books. PM me if you want 'em

2017-09-07 05:02:58 UTC

Thanks @Deleted User I'll check out the link.

2017-09-07 05:04:53 UTC

I did some html back in the day and built a few noob tier websites. My job wants me to learn js to help with building out a ticketing system.

2017-09-07 05:05:39 UTC

Do you suggest that I learn css before trying js, as the link directs?

2017-09-07 17:13:43 UTC

You can safely learn them in parallel

2017-09-07 17:14:28 UTC

CSS is for styling. The main overlap between CSS and JS is the concept of selectors, so there will be some mutual reinforcement there.

2017-09-07 17:15:27 UTC

Also, there are some great free ticketing systems out there. If you're curious let me know and i'll be glad to give more information. you might score some points by suggesting something turnkey that will save lots of time.

2017-09-08 03:37:59 UTC

We already have a system, just building it out further.

2017-09-08 03:38:53 UTC

Ah OK, didn't know if "building out" meant you had something already functional in-place. AMA as you're working and learning.

2017-09-09 09:17:04 UTC

Any advice for choosing a niche for affiliate marketing ? I'm trying to create some residual income so I can free up my time.

2017-09-12 00:37:04 UTC

Can anyone here do Wordpress?

2017-09-12 02:40:36 UTC

@Deleted User Dunno if you saw my message in VFP, but you can PM me. I can do what you're asking.

2017-09-12 02:41:01 UTC
2017-09-12 06:05:18 UTC

Can someone PM what's the current status of torrenting? I used to be a member on a bunch of private trackers but stopped watching TV, had no interesting in it and the sites died eventually. Now I'm looking for a few things and don't know where to go.

2017-09-12 13:18:23 UTC

@Deleted User the pirate bay

2017-09-16 16:14:47 UTC

@Deleted User look into bit che. And always VPN

2017-09-16 23:50:54 UTC

@Deleted User Hey thanks for the info on VPN in lessons. Do recommend using if your just cruising TRS, Altright, etc. I'm obviously not doing anything illegal and I this point probably liked my IP to every right wing site out there. Just wondering how concerned one should be. I'm only a semi literate gen Xer.

2017-09-16 23:52:41 UTC

And I'm only speaking for my personal devices mobile and home. Would never visit DS at work

2017-09-17 03:20:16 UTC

That's where it gets complicated. BTW I hate that I didn't know you when I lived in TN. Based on what you said in the IE general, we lived very close to each other. Less than a half-mile apart.

2017-09-17 03:20:47 UTC

My approach is actually kinda controversial. I bareback the internet all the time.

2017-09-17 03:21:22 UTC

My thinking is that I'm not doing anything illegal. From what I know and understand about data collection and monitoring, using TOR or a VPN would actually draw attention to me.

2017-09-17 03:21:51 UTC

I highly doubt that visiting Stormer, TRS, or anything like that results in any kind of additional surveillance.

2017-09-17 03:22:09 UTC

My philosophy is "I have nothing to hide."

2017-09-17 03:23:51 UTC

With that said, if you choose to bareback you should be very careful about clicking any kind of link. Right now there's a big campaign, especially on Twitter, to dox people via links to Google Docs.

2017-09-17 03:24:14 UTC

The easiest way to protect yourself is simply to open any suspicious links in a Private Window

2017-09-17 03:24:40 UTC

these clowns won't be able to do anything with your IP address if you're just looking at a google doc or something basic like that

2017-09-17 03:25:05 UTC

The only thing you should be careful about is if you're deep in some chan or something like that. You might get baited with cheese pizza.

2017-09-17 03:25:57 UTC

But even then, VPN is still a double-edged sword because my theory is that using a VPN puts more of a spotlight on you than visiting alt-Right sites. Either way, if ZOG wants to know what you're doing, ZOG will find out.

2017-09-17 03:26:05 UTC

So I just do everything without VPN.

2017-09-17 03:27:12 UTC

what do you mean by get baited with cheese pizza?

2017-09-17 03:27:20 UTC

I'm happy to discuss/debate my point of view, and I could be convinced that my approach is imprudent. @Deleted User

2017-09-17 03:27:57 UTC

Do you know what cheese pizza is in this context? Please answer using only "yes" or "no" ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

2017-09-17 03:28:09 UTC

no

2017-09-17 03:28:28 UTC

OK, focus on the first two letters

2017-09-17 03:28:35 UTC

*C*heese *P*izza

2017-09-17 03:28:53 UTC

Think about what you *don't* want to have on or anywhere near your computer

2017-09-17 03:28:55 UTC

oh i see

2017-09-17 03:28:58 UTC

๐Ÿ˜ƒ

2017-09-17 03:29:30 UTC

There have been cases in the past where it's highly likely that someone was sent a delivery of cheese pizza that they had no intention or desire of receiving

2017-09-17 03:29:35 UTC

and that was used to nail them

2017-09-17 03:29:48 UTC

thats fucked up

2017-09-17 03:29:53 UTC

yeah, no doubt

2017-09-17 03:30:02 UTC

I actually don't think it's used anymore, but you can't be too careful

2017-09-17 03:30:30 UTC

There's just so much of it out there nowadays that only true hoarders get busted

2017-09-17 03:31:48 UTC

People have tried to do it on the chans before though. Usually it was just trolling that got out of hand

2017-09-17 03:32:12 UTC

someone got mad and that's how they elected to ragequit. Nothing cleans out a chat faster

2017-09-17 03:32:47 UTC

i see i never got into the chans.. i guess thats a good thing

2017-09-17 03:32:50 UTC

So if you were someone like Enoch who was totally clean but still a big problem to ZOG, that's one way they might try to take you down.

2017-09-17 03:33:03 UTC

Me neither. The few times I looked at them I got a crushing headache. the layout is cancer.

2017-09-17 03:33:24 UTC

People like us would not be targeted in such a fashion though

2017-09-17 03:36:00 UTC

If I were something more than an IE member and a writer for FtN, I would probably move over to VPN.

2017-09-17 03:37:39 UTC

do you think there is any risk to us paying dues over paypal?

2017-09-17 03:38:01 UTC

or even donations to altright.com or other orgs like that?

2017-09-17 03:38:14 UTC

I've always paid my dues via my real name over paypal

2017-09-17 03:38:20 UTC

and donated to alt-right causes

2017-09-17 03:38:29 UTC

yeah i do the same

2017-09-17 03:38:30 UTC

if you're not using BTC, you can easily be traced

2017-09-17 03:38:43 UTC

Arguably, you can still be traced using BTC, but it's a lot harder

2017-09-17 03:39:02 UTC

BTC being totally anonymous is a myth

2017-09-17 03:40:30 UTC

It's substantially more anonymous than paypal or credit card, but cash is really the most anonymous method possible IMO, followed by money orders

2017-09-17 03:47:35 UTC

If we get "the label" from ZOG, then *everything* changes. But that's a big ol' bucket of worms.

2017-09-17 12:45:25 UTC

@Deleted User we lived close? Shit that sucks when did you move?

2017-09-17 12:47:54 UTC

@Deleted User thanks for the tips, all makes sense considering metadata being patterns and not necessarily content.

I never click on fishy links/docs specifically cause the whole pizza thing.

2017-09-17 12:48:56 UTC

And I'm analog too-always use money orders to pay for dues, donations etc., linked to a sock email.

2017-09-20 18:48:11 UTC

This morning I got an email saying my Facebook account had been reactivated. I haven't used it in at least five years but probably closer to eight. It was also under a fake name. Anyway, I got access to the account, so I could permanently delete it, and it said the last log in attempt was from China over a year ago.

Confusing because that's not recent. If it was a general chinamen hacker it doesn't bother me, but I'm a lot more worried about our enemies looking for doxing material these days.

Are abandoned Facebooks being mass hacked or could this be something personal? No way to know for sure, but I'm wondering what you guys think.

2017-09-21 02:59:45 UTC

Mine recently had an attempted login and I hadn't used it in over 6 years. I should probably delete it.

2017-09-21 04:49:41 UTC

@Deleted User if you share passwords across multiple sites, the most likely explanation is that your account was broken into via an automated mass hack.

2017-09-21 04:51:50 UTC

In the early days of LinkedIn, they stored their passwords in either plaintext or extremely weak hash and someone got a hold of a database dump.

2017-09-21 04:52:01 UTC

There was a spate of breaches around that time IIRC

2017-09-21 04:52:49 UTC

so anyway, people coded up bots to make login attempts on various services using those leaked credentials

2017-09-21 04:53:00 UTC

basically they were just hijacking accounts and using them to post spam

2017-09-21 04:54:22 UTC

Something along those lines is the most-likely explanation. Have you logged in to see if any activity occurred on the account? That's the best way. If you see random links being posted under your name it was probably just a mass-hack.

2017-09-21 06:40:25 UTC

I logged in and checked things out, didn't notice anything suspicious. Either way I chose the "permanently delete account" option this time instead of the "delete your account until Chinese hackers brute force your password and reopen it a decade from now" option.

2017-09-23 22:13:46 UTC

Any good phones to get? I could upgrade via Verizon in may but haven't done so yet

2017-09-23 22:13:54 UTC

currently have galaxy s6 edge

2017-09-23 23:49:50 UTC

@here

2017-09-23 23:51:04 UTC

@Auf WI I have the S8+ and love it

2017-09-23 23:51:33 UTC

just make sure you shop around a lot. Not sure what you can upgrade to with vzw but huawei and xiaomi make good phones as well

2017-09-23 23:51:44 UTC

theyre all made in asia anyway

2017-09-24 09:22:46 UTC

It's worth watching some comparison videos and "best phones of 2017" etc. That's how I ended up choosing the HTC 10 over Samsung last time, but I'd go with the Galaxy 8 Plus now.

2017-09-24 09:34:21 UTC

Post the choices they're offering. A lot of times they don't offer the newest models for their upgrade program.

2017-09-24 13:09:38 UTC

I am looking to upgrade my processor on my 2011 macbook pro. currently i have 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7. 1) what would you reccomend I upgrade to? 2) is this something i can do on my own or should i take it to an apple store or w/e?

2017-09-24 13:09:59 UTC

<@&322715617138311171>

2017-09-24 13:11:47 UTC

"Apple store" says the lazy Gen-X'er.

2017-09-24 13:23:53 UTC

โ˜๐Ÿป

2017-09-24 13:23:57 UTC

@Zyzz youre better off purchasing a new laptop

2017-09-24 13:24:38 UTC

I'm not sure it can be done, but I do know if you take it to the Apple store you will spend a ton get not a whole lot in return

2017-09-24 13:32:25 UTC

@Deleted User my macbook works fine i just want to upgrade it so i can play vidya

2017-09-24 13:33:00 UTC

so dont really want to spend the money on a new computer

2017-09-24 13:37:28 UTC

Dude it's going to be easily 500 and you're not going to get much in the way of a performance bump. 500 is 1/3 of what's required for a good new laptop or an even desktop

2017-09-24 14:29:47 UTC

ok i see

2017-09-25 21:51:46 UTC

Anyone know how long it takes to upload a video to Bit Chute? Seems to be taking a while.

2017-09-25 21:56:51 UTC

Rather - the upload was quick but it has said "your video is being processed" for a long time.

2017-09-27 01:22:43 UTC

Hey everyone. New to this server. I just landed an entry level IT job in an Atlantic city hotel. Was hoping some of you may be able to recommend some literature to get up to speed on networking and general break-fixing know-how for a guy brand new to the field.

2017-09-27 01:25:12 UTC

Your best bet is to get familiar with the workings of windows or Linux or whatever OS you guys are using, there are good books easily found on just about every OS you could think of, and other resources online. Learning the OS should be the first thing you do before going onto more complex stuff in the field.

Also just joined but to add onto what Ash said, the majority of small account hacks are done by combo lists and crackers, like what he said they gather usernames and passwords from stolen databases of whatever site they get into and try those user:pass on other sites, it works extremely well because most people cba to mix it up a bit from site to site. I used to have a really big list and could get a ton of Spotifys and Netflix's pretty fast

2017-09-27 01:28:45 UTC

So mix up your usernames or even just passwords from site to site

2017-09-27 01:30:33 UTC

If you're breached on an account with an original password then you should start worrying, usually means they specifically intended to get into your account for specific reasons, otherwise it's not that big of a deal if you don't have sensitive info on the account, just change your passwords.

My computer failed recently, black screen on startup. The monitor is able to display menus, but nothing from the computer. So far I've replaced the dvi cable, power supply, and motherboard. Should I just scrap the whole thing? Build is about 6-7 years old

2017-09-27 13:31:21 UTC

@Deleted User are you running a high-end graphics card?

2017-09-27 13:45:48 UTC

I have two Radeon 6870s in xfire

2017-09-27 13:46:27 UTC

I had a 650w power supply previously, maybe I succeeded in killing both cards?

2017-09-27 13:47:09 UTC

The motherboard video didn't work either, though.

2017-09-27 13:52:34 UTC

Had something similar happen to me. Turned out it was the graphics cards. Maybe the motherboard is shot?

2017-09-27 15:18:55 UTC

I replaced the motherboard all ready, so it must be the cards somehow

2017-09-27 19:34:08 UTC

Curious anyone know how to increase internet connection upload and download speed for gaming. My stuff has been very laggy lately at 400-800 kbps

2017-09-27 21:31:14 UTC

Usually that depends on the service plan you have from your internet provider

2017-09-27 21:32:07 UTC

If you're using wireless and have an old router or are using a USB stick for your wireless connection, that could be a bottleneck.

2017-09-27 21:32:32 UTC

Do you know what your ping is?

2017-09-28 06:18:27 UTC

ranges from 30-40 to 120-400 when it lags bad. I use an ATT modem

2017-09-28 07:02:42 UTC

@Serg CA hey it also varies based on what server you are playing on

2017-09-28 07:02:54 UTC

like you are west coast, play on west coast servers to stay sub 30

2017-09-28 07:03:33 UTC

if you end up on a euro server or east coast even can see it jump to 100

2017-09-28 14:32:05 UTC

I've posted about this great internet privacy resource before, but they have updated it even better! https://ssd.eff.org/en

2017-09-28 23:37:11 UTC

@Jimmy the Greek#6623 thanks i'll have to do some more research to find out

2017-09-29 22:11:55 UTC

Anybody @here know webpack?

2017-09-29 22:21:53 UTC

Let me know if you need anymore help

2017-09-30 13:55:10 UTC

Enlighten me on the benefits of using webpack. The "core concepts" page isn't convincing me that it would be "worth it".

2017-09-30 14:53:52 UTC

Anybody here use dirpy? I am trying to download a song and dirpy will only download the first 30 seconds or so. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or dirpy is defective

2017-09-30 19:38:11 UTC

@here

2017-10-01 05:13:51 UTC

@Why Tea same benefit, mostly of things like grunt or gulp afaik.. task automation, minify, test running, compactify, linting, etc.

2017-10-01 10:58:18 UTC

@Dan iiii Interesting. So is the consensus that it's superior to the existing tools/techniques for minifying, compacting, linting, etc? Or just another way to do it that's popular at the moment? For context I work in concert with our Dev / DevOps team(s) and manage some custom development work / manage those devs. I have *some* influence with our core Dev team but decisions on what to use are from their leads / and department head. If something is better than what they're using now, me suggesting they try it can't hurt. My team and I do app tier stuff much more so than front-end development, but anything to help the team is worth looking at.

2017-10-01 10:59:59 UTC

For more context my work is in the Security / Authentication & Authorization part of the stack/platform. Even more context, a couple of the biggest companies in the world use security code I and my team wrote and designed.

2017-10-03 17:15:38 UTC

If anybody knows Webpack and would be willing to help me understand how to work with it, it would be much appreciated.

2017-10-03 18:10:50 UTC

@everyone ^

2017-10-23 02:15:52 UTC

Idk. I'm looking through the code and it looks right, but I really don't know this tech you're using. The error makes it look like the state isn't getting recognized somehow. @Bobby - Pa

2017-10-23 02:18:04 UTC

2017-10-23 02:22:28 UTC

Looks like you're learning Angular 1. Just so you know, they're on like Angular 4 now.

2017-10-23 02:22:35 UTC

It was completely re-done.

2017-10-23 02:22:47 UTC

The only real reason to learn this is basically to work on already-existing projects that were done with Angular 1.

2017-10-23 02:25:42 UTC

really?

2017-10-23 02:26:19 UTC

That's what it looks like to me.

2017-10-23 02:26:31 UTC

I guess I could be wrong but this doesn't look like the kind of Angular syntax I know.

2017-10-23 02:26:36 UTC

And it explicitly says AngularJS.

2017-10-23 02:26:39 UTC

AngularJS = Angular 1.

2017-10-23 02:26:43 UTC

I'll ask about it, I still have plenty to go in the angular library module I'm on, hopefully it becomes more current so if i need help it will be easier

2017-10-23 02:26:48 UTC
2017-10-23 02:26:52 UTC

This is the latest Angular.

2017-10-23 02:27:50 UTC

ahh ok, yeah this is angular one then, clearly stated that this is angularJS

2017-10-23 02:27:57 UTC

interenting, didnt know that , thanks

2017-10-25 15:42:44 UTC

Are you able to DDoS automated online phone services? It makes theoretical sense but does anyone know if it's actually possible?

2017-10-26 02:33:16 UTC

I can find out.
