Speaking of Columbus discovering America, not long ago, I heard a Judeo-Christian pastor or some televangelist say that it was divine intervention that Columbus found America, because also in 1492 Spain was preparing to expel the Jews. You see, America was meant to be another homeland for the Jewish people – a place for them to turn to, as they were being expelled from Spain and other European countries.

They keep trying to take it down year after year.. Cops firefighters aka the actual people who keep NYC livable won't allow it

Hell yeah

2018-09-27 02:37:07 UTC

if only our firemen and police down here did the same

2018-09-27 02:37:25 UTC

actually in the Mormon Theology we have a similar belief; that Columbus was lead by God to discover this continent so that it would become the "promised land for God's chosen people"

2018-09-27 02:37:38 UTC

They will go after Henry Hudson soon too watch the Anglos rage lol

2018-09-27 02:38:22 UTC

"desire for conquest intensifies"

We should have a Henry Hudson day, it would be a good regional holiday

2018-09-27 02:43:02 UTC

We should have a Charles Lindbergh day

2018-09-27 02:43:09 UTC

That would be epic

2018-09-27 02:45:54 UTC

agree

2018-09-27 02:47:36 UTC

After Defend Columbus in Ohio, we could do a Defend Hudson (and perhaps Columbus as well) event in New York

2018-09-27 03:06:19 UTC

Virgin philanderer vs the Chad virgin

2018-09-27 03:07:58 UTC

Ya, Chad Virgin makes more sense

2018-09-27 03:08:11 UTC

That meme makes me want to attend church

2018-09-27 03:09:01 UTC

I think no sex before marriage is a good thing, but I've always find purity rings kinda weird

2018-09-27 03:09:49 UTC

No offense to anyone who uses those. It's just not something I get.

2018-09-27 03:11:40 UTC

the no sex part is fine... . but the "semen overload from lack of ejaculation" is totally unrealistic and biologically impossible lol

2018-09-27 03:11:47 UTC

Like, why show it off? It kinda seems to me like if someone wore an "I don't steal" ring. If you're just doing what you see as a basic moral requirement, shouldn't it be no big deal?

2018-09-27 03:13:33 UTC

@Valaska you should be. Great communities, great events, great content, etc. Just gotta find a good one.

2018-09-27 03:13:39 UTC

Makes it tangible

2018-09-27 03:14:02 UTC

Meant to make you look at it and go “that’s a commitment”

2018-09-27 03:14:12 UTC
2018-09-27 03:14:12 UTC

purity rings are for women IRL, also basic moral requirements cant be taken as no big deal

2018-09-27 03:14:48 UTC

but ive never met someone who actually wore one and made it clear that it was one

2018-09-27 03:15:05 UTC

girls just wear all kinds of rings sometimes and it not obvious what/if they mean

2018-09-27 03:15:59 UTC

I mean, I support the idea of no sex before marriage, but I don't feel like I'm doing anything worth bragging about by doing it. That's what I meant by no big deal.

2018-09-27 03:16:07 UTC

yea i follow

2018-09-27 03:16:22 UTC

@Koba I will try it out

2018-09-27 03:19:52 UTC

michigan is fertile as fuck

2018-09-27 03:20:30 UTC

a good chunk of "food we eat" on your map is eaten up by urbanite deserts

2018-09-27 03:20:48 UTC

It portrays amount of land use in the US, it's not overlayed on the land where those things actually occur

2018-09-27 03:21:42 UTC

come to think of it, the fact they made it looks like the US in shape was probably a cute idea but is misleading because that interpretation makes sense too

2018-09-27 03:22:13 UTC

ah i see, it's meant to impart relative size

2018-09-27 03:23:00 UTC

right, I can see why it's misleading though, the shape has nothing to do with the information, except I guess they're trying to show that it "fits" in a US shaped box
