@Vertical I think it's a substitute for angst over immigration. They aren't smart or brave enough to stand against demographic displacement, so they attack one of its symptoms (a higher cost of living) instead because its more 'respectable'. Almost like the California gas tax repeal which failed. Hopefully Marine le Pen can step in and divert them to the root cause.

Former communists and socialists are now "libertarian" while former libertarians are moving further right.
I see the slide only increasing in the future
