There's a middle ground between "Trump will come out guns blazing" and "I support Kamala now" lol. I didn't expect Trump to give us the world, I just want him to sound a little like candidate trump rather than president trump. So far he's disappointed

2019-02-06 02:51:37 UTC

Listen to the positives along with the negatives. The over tonight window is shifting to our side, he is talking about things that politicians haven't even broached in decades.

2019-02-06 02:51:56 UTC

Like what?
@tsea

2019-02-06 02:52:05 UTC

The overton window is completely shifting back toward the neocon center-right. Trump has entirely abandoned the idea of slashing legal immigration and shifted to only talking about illegal immigraiton. That's objectively bad

2019-02-06 02:52:05 UTC

we are, but the negatives are more fun to point out @tsea

2019-02-06 02:52:08 UTC

at what point should we simply let a potentially "worse" candidate win to make an example out of Republicans?

2019-02-06 02:52:18 UTC

@MPI - VA it's definitely fair to be disappointed, I'm more irritated with the people saying "impeach him already!!" or "I'm not voting for him in 2020 now"

2019-02-06 02:52:30 UTC

it’s not that we expected him to talk like a white nationalist. of course not. it’s just all the nonsense that he didn’t have to say

2019-02-06 02:52:32 UTC

@tsea For sure, I'm not in that group either

2019-02-06 02:52:35 UTC

currently what hes talking about: trade policies toward China and protecting jobs, hasnt been talked about

2019-02-06 02:52:37 UTC

YEAH USMCA!

2019-02-06 02:52:38 UTC

@Jacob winning is accelerationism, losing only hurts us

The Overton window is never going back to Neo-conservatism

2019-02-06 02:53:09 UTC

Sorry

2019-02-06 02:53:26 UTC

it's either gonna shift our way, or to AOC...

2019-02-06 02:53:31 UTC

@DixieBoy76 - KY venezuala tho

2019-02-06 02:53:37 UTC

@tsea I'm not even talking about accelerationism
I'm just talking about not voting for someone to send them a message that they have to actually provide value

2019-02-06 02:53:46 UTC

accelerationism is intentionally making things worse

2019-02-06 02:53:47 UTC

It’s not possible. Not with the way demographic trends are turning and the continuing dividing of America

2019-02-06 02:53:59 UTC

Go back to voting for GOP cucks in 2020 and 2022 and 2024

2019-02-06 02:54:11 UTC

Because “if the democrats win...”

2019-02-06 02:54:13 UTC

@Jacob so we don't vote for Trump to send a message, Kamala wins, and we get repressed more while more illegals flood in

2019-02-06 02:54:17 UTC

Cancel elections. Begome Caesar

2019-02-06 02:54:20 UTC

Wow we sure sent a good message though!!

2019-02-06 02:54:26 UTC

*This* is why it’s so important to be a force of normalization, folks.

2019-02-06 02:54:28 UTC

democrats are so retarded usually it makes Trump look like /our guy/ but just hearing him respond to nobody at the SOTU is bad

2019-02-06 02:55:09 UTC

It’s all about optics

2019-02-06 02:55:10 UTC

this swing vote talk might mean something _if_ we had enough votes to swing an election

2019-02-06 02:55:21 UTC

We must eat, breathe, and sleep optics

2019-02-06 02:55:22 UTC

Mitt Romney is the new orange man btw

2019-02-06 02:55:23 UTC

Guys..the Democratic Convention is on.

2019-02-06 02:55:31 UTC

but Trump is perfectly happy demolishing whatever his own lead is in any state he won in the Rust Belt

2019-02-06 02:55:55 UTC

@tsea yes, I agree that that's an issue
I'm not even advocating for it necessarily, I'm just asking "at what point?"
I mean I think there *eventually* has to be a point where we don't bother helping a Republican win
for example, if we know they literally aren't going to reduce immigration, there's really no advantage over a Democrat

2019-02-06 02:56:20 UTC

There should have been a rubber ducky intermittently dubbed in earlier

2019-02-06 02:56:23 UTC

Pelosi sure clapped for cheaper drugs...

2019-02-06 02:56:46 UTC

is drug pricing an issue anyone actually cares about?

2019-02-06 02:56:54 UTC

seems so tertiary

2019-02-06 02:56:57 UTC

@Nic-AL Definitely.

2019-02-06 02:57:19 UTC

people vote for AOC and the like for that reason
