@Zyzz Why so?
Anyone who gives a fair platform to JT is pretty much redeemed.
@Zyzz Completely fair
Although, to be fair, that's not exactly proof
@Zyzz Hmm. Lemme look through the collection.
@Karl Definitely a great recommendation.
@John O - Lol, what's going on?
He hasn't read it?? But good idea. Hope that goes well.
Sorry, can't go. Unfortunately, there are a lot of reasons. Hope you all have a fantastic time!
This is the first part of a set which is a sweeping overview of Western development. Also slightly biased.
This is the second book in a series that's older and more detailed. Not a long read if you commit.
If you have the money, I would consider picking up a set of history books by Will and Ariel Durant. Biased (easy to clear through) but incredibly holistic. The only part that's completely inaccurate is in relation to the French Revolution.
Lastly, this might be almost unfindable, but it's a four part series on the history of the world (really just the West). Written in 1890. Mildly anti-Catholic, so be warned. Absolutely fantastic in depth.
Let me know how it goes though!
Also! Forgot! This is a wonderful overview of the people, places, and ideas that have shaped the Western cultural landscape.
This one is great too, in terms of familiarizing oneself with differences in regional culture.
If anyone is interested, some of these books are out for loan, so feel free to message if you want one to borrow. @everyone
This is an absolutely essential series written by Edward Ellis in 1895.
@John O - Thank you?
Thanks :) Just my job, lol.
Oi Vey. Sounds serious
@CarletonJ Actually, I believe this is a condensed version for only $5.71
The History Of Our Country: From The Discovery Of America To The Present Time (1905) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0548638004/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_iwnIAbAF2X04V
@CarletonJ If you're adding books, get Uprising by David Irving. Accurate account of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. (JQ included)
Bonus - if you email him, he'll send you an autographed copy of any of his works. Actually, he responds to any and all emails. Super epic.
Never too early to start thinking about passing wealth on to your children. :)
@John O - That's a great mindset! Super glad to hear it!
Welcome!
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good book on their Spanish heritage. ๐ช๐ธ
@Zyzz Lol, glad you asked. Just picked this up on Amazon. 100% recommend. There's another good one that I'll post later.
Also, anything by Antonio Primo de Rivera is absolutely essential!
Selected Writings (Roots of the Right) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0224007556/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_H90IAb0J1G6RX
@celticflame What percentage of your husband's co-workers could be defined as "diversity hires?"
@celticflame Sorry, just wondering. :) Avionics seems like a super competitive field.
@Deleted User Sounds terrible
@Why Tea Fantastic. Really illustrates your point.

For anyone interested, Gallego is the language of Galicia. It's closer to Portuguese, even though the region is in Spain. (https://www.omniglot.com/writing/galician.htm)
There is a Galician nationalist newspaper published in Gallego: El Correo Gallego. (http://www.elcorreogallego.es)
For anyone interested in learning Spanish, Duolingo is a great primary.
If you are interested in intermediate or learning by immersion, you might want to look into reading some essays by Juan Donoso Cortez; Spanish author, conservative and Catholic political theorist, and diplomat.ย
Counter-currents posted an article about him (https://www.counter-currents.com/2010/12/juan-donoso-cortes/)
For learning purposes, here is the complete text of "Essays on Catholicism, Liberalism and Socialism" in Spanish.

@Deleted User Yes. He's on an intermediate level currently.
@Olivia M I'm not sure about that. He has it for a desktop. Great question though. ๐
@Deleted User Yes, Duolingo is fantastic.
@everyone The Mises Institute has hundreds of books that are free to download in PDF form. Yes, this is a free service and there are no copyright restrictions. (https://mises.org/library/books)
Highly recommend starting with "Liberty or Equality, the Challenge for Our Times" (https://mises.org/library/liberty-or-equality-challenge-our-time)
Also, "Democracy, the God that Failed" by Hans Hoppe is amazing. (https://mises.org/library/democracy-god-failed-1)
Great point, but what about for older books?
"National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Fossils" (https://www.amazon.com/National-Audubon-Society-American-Fossils/dp/0394524128/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1519487653&sr=8-6&keywords=paleontology+books)
