Make sure youโ€™re eating in a caloric deficit. Thereโ€™s apps out there to help track calories etc. itโ€™ll take info like height weight age gender yada yada and then show what your deficit calories should be maintenance calories and surplus.

Iโ€™ve always been around the 200# mark Most off my adult life. Iโ€™m 6โ€™1. 12 years ago I was at my lowest adult weight of 185 skin and bones. 6 months before that, my heaviest 250, fat Big Mac eating piece of shit. My โ€œhealthiestโ€ was back in 2014. I was roughly 195-200. Could run sub 14 min two mile. Did โ€œCrossFitโ€ on base would regularly run 7-10 miles on weekends. Right now Iโ€™m sitting at 235 and carrying the most muscle Iโ€™ve had my whole life. Iโ€™m riding at roughly 20% body fat trying to get to about 15. I can bench 315 for 3 reps. Squat pr in October was 405, my knee is now fucked, was deadlifting 315 5x5 last week. Iโ€™m making good progress and plan to keep climbing.

Oh but my cardio SUUUUUUUCKS. Havenโ€™t โ€œrunโ€ in ages cause of my knee
