Lifting weights I hit two new personal records today

335 on bench press yesterday and 525 on deadlift today.

Need to work on my squats, I can comfortably rep 315 but my form starts to degrade when I get into the 3rd/4th set

Right knee joint has been giving me problems for awhile now (before I started lifting) I may need to go by my urgent care office and get a steroid shot to strengthen the joint and prevent any injuries. Idk though.

In a spiritual sense I’ve been doing the silent prayer and holding myself in the present. After my fathers recent passing the devil has been doing his best to waiver my faith but god has sent me help through others. This afternoon I spoke with a vendor representative on business and he offered condolences on my fathers behalf and he talked about his mother passing a couple months prior. During our conversation it was revealed to me that my circumstance is truly a blessing, it seemed as though he had forgiven his mother and restored his connection to God. To summarize our talk, Even in the darkest times we still have so much to be thankful for. God will always give you not what you want, but what you need. It’s a profound and beautiful thing to witness how god arranges his energy in people and the world. It’s evident that it’s up to us to interpret it’s true meaning from the lie.

From a mental standpoint I’ve been digging into music lately and practicing guitar and experimenting with new techniques and songs to challenge my comfort in playing how i usually do.

It’s clear to me now that I can either be influenced by hate, anger, satan, evil or influenced by love, peace, God, good. What we call perspective/frame of mind is really our understanding of reality. It’s either good or evil nothing else. Every other name or explanation is just a dilution of the truth until it is polluted into a lie. The over explanation leads to misunderstanding. All we must do is be still and know...

I really wanted to call into the show today but I got carried away with my work and during the last hour of the show I experienced that conversation with the sales rep. It was amazing.

He is a black man aged 34 and an only child of a single mother whom was a widow of her husband when their son was 2 years old.

I was particularly happy to learn that he had made peace with his mother months up until her passing, as though god had put that within him to accomplish and once he had forgiven god said it is time for her to go to the next life and perhaps join her husband.

I found it very similar to my view on my fathers passing. My mother expired when I was a young boy (7 years old) and my dad did his best to raise my sister and myself. I had my conflicts and anger growing up and it wasn’t until this past 2 years that I grew to understand my father and go to forgive him. About Mid April of this year I finally sat down with him and told him what had been on my heart and everything I experienced through my childhood and how I had resented him for it. I told him I was wrong and sorry for holding that against him. It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders, I could even see it helped him. For the first time I heard my father tell me he loved me and was proud of me. It hit me like a wave, I’ve heard it before but it didn’t feel like anything. I can’t quite explain it but it moved me to tears.

I feel like god had planned that perfectly, now that I had forgiven my father and restored my connection and relationship to him god said it is time for my father to go and rest. I feel as though his mission had finally been completed and god is telling me to go and live and carry on that spirit.

I finally stopped procrastinating and called my father up to wish him a merry Christmas & let him know that I forgave him for not being in our life and came to find out we both felt very relieved about it.
