And competition is what leads to growth. minimizing it is a bad idea. Letting it go rampant, is also a bad idea.
The system has to abide by human nature
human nature cannot be one of vice
I'm still pretty undecided on economics
Growth is over rated. We need stability
^
If you consider greed vice, then it is
I'm ripe for converting to your favorite system
@YourFundamentalTheorum Vice is inextricably human
would you not agree that grid is vice?
*greed
feel free to proselytize to me
@Jacob national syndicalism is best
it measures economic status by how many cows you have
it seems pretty cool
A mixed market economy is the best way forward imo along with an identitarian state
@Deleted User would you not agree that vice has to be improved instead of cajoled?
You won't breed out vice.
that doesn't mean you shouldnt' fight it
Communists say "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." When it is pointed out that people will not be productive enough without incentives, they say people simply shouldn't be greedy.
That is why communism will always fail. It rests on the idea that human nature must change. Every endeavor to go against human nature so fundamentally has always led to nothing but disaster
> you won't stop dumb teens doing weed
> so let's legalize it
that's awfully leftist
Look, you know what server we're in. I'm all for fighting vice. I just think you're addressing the problem incorrectly
What forms of vice should be stamped out besides porn and drug use?
Declaring human nature vice will not change it. It is not rooted in the economic system itself, so changing the system will jot root it out
@TMatthews religion is fundamentally against human nature, yet here it is.
Christianity is explicitly idealistic, yet here it stands
Religion is absolutely part of human nature. It gives explanations for why things are and a way of making morality seem objective. It provides a basis for social order if all abide by it
Would you guys agree that the social programs that exist in the US should be focused on the people who are the main demographic? (Essentially the people who's families have been here longest)
(Welfare, benefits, social security, etc)
>indian americans become the richest demographic
Christianity is not predicated on human nature being altered, but rather on it being forgiven
good take, @the pic
@TMatthews eh that's protestantism
catholicism and orthodoxy are very explicit about how humans are by default corrupt
and that human nature is a corrupted form of God's nature
When speaking of the families that have been there the longest, I am referring to European people
Exactly. Humans are all sinners and always will be, but they can strive to be better and seek forgiveness
At least that's the idea
I disagree and I would say why but I have to go sleep
cya
Interesting conversations. Goodnight y'all
Every religion denounces intoxication use. Buddha even dounenced incense. Do people do it anyway? Yes. However, people are still born with horrible mental/physical deformities. Doesn't mean we should just ignore it because it happens
@Sacramento It's a shame there's so much tradition to choose from though, hence the argumentation
Also, if you guys think I'm excusing vice or something, no. I don't even drink fellas
It's midnight here on the west coast. I'll seeya later gents
Goodnight
I have a weird request
Since I'm writing an essay on memes, can you guys please spam my DMs with as many NazBol memes as possible?
I'm looking to crowdsource a name for a moving service. I'm in hipsterville if that makes a difference.
Maybe you should dm me in case I actually use it
@cyrustheaverage Packing Plaid
You guys ever just wonder if you have a low IQ.
Sometimes I do some really <80 stuff.
My brain seems to be well-suited to some things (like knowing when people are lying) but not to other things (like tact).
I almost put my bird in the fridge this morning instead of the milk
I think we've all been there @NITRODUBS
Bahahaha! ๐
Morning, wypipo!
@NITRODUBS thatโs more a symptom of distraction imo
@NITRODUBS I do that stuff when my routine gets broken. I do the exact same stuff the exact same way every day, and so I never think about what I'm actually doing; head always off in the clouds. Which means if one tiny variable changes, I can completely destroy what I'm doing
@Deleted User I'm not sure that's efficacious. It may seem appealing as a first take, but I don't think it works out well. Social programs, where they are aid programs, perhaps ought to be focused on those that have contributed most. Much like social security, if it were run properly. I've contributed a lot more than other people, so my disability benefit would be higher if I were to need it. That's what's "fair" for most values of "fair". Same thing regarding programs paid for by taxes. If I've paid more, why shouldn't I get a bigger share? Helps the rich, you say? Well, there just aren't that many "rich" people. It's not the problem the media would have you believe. What it does do is disincentivise free-riding by those that haven't contributed. The system can still be set up so that they get *something*; it's not "fair" to just leave people to hang out to dry because they haven't had time or ability to contribute. But that's perhaps a different category. You're 18 and haven't had time to pay in, but lose your sight? Yeah, there has to be a mechanism to help with that. Perhaps tied to your parent's contribution. But... extending that all the way back through the generations winds up benefiting "first families" and "old money" perhaps a bit too much. And there *are* a lot of descendants of those families.
This isn't a problem that the likes of us can solve sitting here. That's another thing to consider. No matter how much we brainstorm. Armchair study of a complex system like this isn't enough. It *seems* simple, but the execution of such a system is more challenging than it appears for those of us that have only read a lot of books on politics and economics, perhaps. Even with my MBA what I know is that I'm not qualified to concoct a fair and workable social program system. Not to say we couldn't do it. Take a lot of notes, read a lot on how it's been done, beyond just "look at Sweeeeeden and Norway!" and make spreadsheets, then more spreadsheets, then study more policy. Pretty soon it turns into a big task. tl;dr. no, focusing social programs on those families with the most tenure here won't work well, since those families have a ton of descendants comparatively, I think. Should *some* things be more focused on families that have been here ~400 years? Hell yes.

@hbutzer0511 It kills me that, a year ago, she was a nobody with literally, like, four videos on her channel, and now, she's practically on every Fox anchor's speed dial, and is up to her eyeballs in cuck shekels. Meanwhile, we're moving into near-exponential growth in *actual* right-wing commentators with informed and relevant commentary, and they're still treated as though they don't even exist. That said, it's obvious why this is the case; it just gets my goat... ๐
@Bjorn - MD. The most powerful country in the world does not need to offer citizenship to this caravan to find answers and convict the perpetrators of this invasion.
@hbutzer0511 Agreed.
@Bjorn - MD So Candice wants felons to vote, and to give thousands of illegal invaders citizenship? ๐ค Sounds like a real based conservative to me! <:really:453005408064241674>
@Asatru Artist - MD You wouldn't mind, but I would say that, given where we are right now, there actually still *is* room for thought black commentary on the right, if we had someone like a Walter Williams, who's for freedom of association, but of course, no one even knows who he is (even I didn't until I heard about him on TDS), and there's a reason for that... ๐ค
Trump just announced he's a nationalist and wants people to start using that term.
@CarletonJ Yeah, that one was definitely a <:whitepill:439924104406106113>
Absolutely
Till based blegs start using it to describe themselves, eroding away the word's meaning just like that of "American..."
Hopefully not, though.
@Bjorn - MD oh God. What if
*Boomer walking into the room*
"hello, fellow nationalists."
It does seem like that would be the natural, last-ditch globalist gambit. It isn't like they haven't already made an art form out of stripping words and symbols of their original meanings...
"Hi, my name's Ben Shapiro, and I'm an American nationalist."
Oh my God.
Mhmm...
I'm going to choose to be optimistic, though, rather than do the blackpill thing right out of the gate, lol.
Of course haha
I got accused of being a white supremacist on Facebook LOL
If they only knew
@Procella Eques What did you did? Speaks in favor of standards of any kind, in any context?
Chances are they will run with the nationalist label for awhile trying to connect that with Trump's bigoted following.
@CarletonJ We can only hope... ๐
Mentioned NPCs and pointed out the white genocide in South Africa
@Procella Eques used to happen to me all the time. Then I deactivated. People have a harder time calling you random names irl.
@Procella Eques Yeah, that'll do it. Shouldn't be that way, obviously, but it is what it is...
White genocide is a white supremacist conspiracy theory
Obviously
I'm still on the fence about the term. I mean , according to the UN's own definition, it does qualify as a genocide, but it doesn't jive with the cattle car-laden images that have been seeded in people's minds by Hollywood.
White dispossession is far easier to defend in an elevator.
It's hard to argue genocide with NPCs. Easier to argue replacement.
Which you can get them to agree and notice - but then they ask "why is that so bad."
