@jerm morning, think I might have missed invite to patrons' channel?
@Andre If you're a patron, then apparently you can connect via your Patreon settings.
""You can also head over to your account settings page and click on the Connect to Discord button to connect your Discord and Patreon accounts."
Please tell me what you see there.
Will try again, had no luck yesterday
In settings / account
@Scribbly_G will give it another shot, thanks ๐
And please post in the Patreon room so that we know it works. We shall be chatting about secret stuff there. ๐
hahahahaha dis kak snaaks
daai post van roets
@Jerm not a problem at all
... I'm also a bit (a lot actually) of a tech peasant. I'll say hi when I've found my way into the secret chamber. Have a good day ๐
@Scribbly_G morning ๐. Did you find your way to the room? It's so secret I can't even see it on the menu - just #pushtalk and am directed from Patreon page to this thread ....
@Dusty Iโm still finding my way to the room, itโs further than I thought
I'll have a look at it now
@Scribbly_G ๐๐๐
Diary, 25 November 1922.
WIth trembling hands, I made a tiny breach in the upper left hand corner... widening the hole a little, I inserted the candle and peered in... at first I could see nothing, the hot air escaping from the chamber causing the candle to flicker. Presently, details of the room emerged slowly from the mist, strange animals, statues and gold โย everywhere the glint of gold. For the moment โ an eternity it must have seemed to the others standing by โ I was struck dumb with amazement, and when Lord Carnarvon, unable to stand in suspense any longer, inquired anxiously "Can you see anything?", it was all I could do to get out the words "Yes, wonderful things" (Howard Carter on King Tuts tomb discovery)
is it just me or is Rama's life becoming endangered....see a lot of DD tweets
@Dusty check now
Ok, I'm still lost
@Andre Have you gone onto Patreon and connected your account to Discord?
@MikeyMike only about 5 times ๐
LOL, maybe try logging out of both Discord and Patreon and try again. Logging off and on worked for me.
Thanks, will give it a shot ๐
@Andre It's working now. Patreon also suggests editing your payment.
Note:Patrons who were pledged to you before you set up your Discord Patreon roles will need to update their pledge, so that they can land back on the โthank youโ page containing their invite to your Discord server. Feel free to direct any patrons who did not receive their server invite, here.
@AcidOverride got it, will do that
Since nobody is allowed to discuss this, I put it into a cartoon.
Has anyone here read The Bell Curve?
@Jerm All good that we post your content on our own timelines while you in FB timeout?
Please share away. I really don't mind at all. I'm not precious about the stuff being on my personal timeline.
๐
@lambdalizard ๐๐ฒ Is it good?
It's long ๐ It's an 800-page book published in 1994 which tries to describe the class structure in American society. Mostly it argues that intelligence is a major predictor of just about everything (income, occupation, family structure, criminal activity)
Racists, eugenicists and edgelords frequently cite the parts (out of context, obviously) about the IQ differences between race groups. Most recently, there was a guy given a 5-minute interview on NPR (Jason Kessler iirc) who quoted the book.
I just got ahold of a copy and I'm scanning through it
I'm reading it because of this
The US media has lost their collective shit because NPR (public radio) gave a "platform" to this guy
The core of the freakout was when Kessler quoted some of the results from The Bell Curve. Apparently, that was enough to issue trigger warnings before the broadcast and set the media landscape on fire
Awe
Watsup willem
Heel lekker
Watching the doc right now๐ itโs good so far
@Willem Petzer Hallo Willem, random vraag, was jy op Affies?
๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ
Hallo Rooikat
Aweh
Good documentary - very informative and nicely filmed.
@Andre ja ek was
@Willem Petzer Was ook, maar so bietjie voor jou
@lambdalizard ๐๐ฒ @Jerm pdf copy of the BellCurve in the link below.
https://lesacreduprintemps19.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/the-bell-curve.pdf
Discussing this gave me an instaban in Twitter so tread carefully bois!
But this is just fine.
yip... feelsbadman
Please share far and wide. This is a leaked document from the Department Of Land Reform, listing farms to be taken. Some owners have been contacted already. One of the farms is even a stud farm.
From what we know, every farm is white-owned
I have been informed that the list isn't fully legit.
In what sense?
Mmmm
It looks like more than 139
Closer to 190, but Jerm says list might not be fully legit
Could be disinfo. Afriforum has posted the same list. Would be interesting to see what happens if the list is legit
Could be, govt masters of intel game
If its legit then Dept. of rural development and land reform has a mole quite high up.
So are we going to go to these farms?
To clarify:
1. The list comes from the Dept Of Land Reform
2. Whether or not it's a final list, is uncertain.
3. The fact that it comes from the government is the most important part.
4. Details are less important.
5. There shouldn't be a list at all.
According to Rapport there will be compensation
@Jerm I agree, there shouldn't be any such list or attempt to grab land, yet here we are
At this point the owners of the farms would need to approach Afriforum themselves. Leaks like this could always be part of Intel agencies testing the readiness of the Farming community and seeing if the bait is taken. Interesting info though, only time will tell if this is a genuine leak or if its an attempt to gauge the Farming communities readiness.
@HoppeanSnake_ZA yes, I agree
The fact that Afriforum has thrown their weight behind it increases the likelihood that these leaks are legit. Anybody know of an online database where farm names and portion numbers can be accessed?
The state doesn't have enough money to compensate farmers at the full price. Which makes it a land grab.
Exactly, they lie...all the time
I've been getting some more info. I'll share it with patrons, since that room is closed to the public.
how do i become a patron
Well, there's an exam, and an initiation period, at the end of which you have to take part in a secret ritual
Seems legit
Totally
I'm sure @jerm will provide a link to patreon
thanks.. I will find it on his twitter
That's option 2 for becoming a patron
aaaahhh ... do tell
I suppose you could create an account on patreon.com and then just find Jerm
Unless you'd prefer the first option
3rd option?
LOL I have the link... no worries
Haha glad more are coming onboard, welcome
thanks

HATE what is happening here in SA
Yah, more and more
https://www.scribd.com/document/386002876/What-Will-Happen-When-The-ANC-Takes-My-Farm
This is written by a farmer who wants to remain anonymous.
ja, saw that, I'm sure he's not the only one
Why!!!
What we really need are photos - for people to go to these farms and small towns, photo-document the life they're living, and share that out
Make the cost of EWC visible in real terms - houses, families, children
Are any of you based in Natal? Or know farmers/people in Natal who would be willing to help one of the farmers on the list? I told him to contact afriforum, but I also said I'll try find people willing, able and close enough to go help if needs be. I'm asking everywhere so I thought I might as well try here as well.
No, I'm in GP
Dankie Andre, dis okay, soos ek se ek vra maar net orals, maybe is daar iemand.
@Tired_White what is the name of the farm on the list
Hi Gonzo, he didn't say, just that it's in natal, but he told me this morning he has made contact with Afriforum.

@Dusty
Let me turn the question around:
What is it that you dislike about Trump?
@Jerm his attitude towards woman, anti climate change stance. His brash and childish way with Twitter. His attitude to Peurto Rico, Charlottesville, guns ...
@Dusty Let's be more specific.
What is his attitude towards women? Are you referring to his locker room banter from a decade ago? Around 20 million women voted for him, including a woman I personally know. (Former South African.)
The locker room talk ... sort of. A one off incident is no big deal. His comments 're dating his own daughter, rating woman's bodies, ad hominem attacks, calling them pigs, comments made about reporters face still bleeding from cosmetic surgery ... mockery of disabled people ... I know many woman voted for him. But many woman stay with men who beat them ....
Most of what he says is out of context, if you look at the "Disabled guy" he mocked, he wasnt actually mocking him about a disability, and the way he waved his hands is something he does often and the media says it was aimed at the disabled guy (Many alternative news outlets have evidence of this).... I take a lot of it with a pinch of salt... Dont get me wrong, I dont agree with everything he does or stands for, but I would def vote for him.
@Roovdwalt I fully appreciate that. I do think msm cherry picks / edits to suit their narrative. I'm going to expand on this when my bloody PC stops asking me to pick squares with cars to get into discord. Using phone atm which is a hassle.
Download the app
on PC
There are hundreds of videos on youtube like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKcht0ApsDg
And with regards to locker room talk, Ill be frank and say that I dont know any straight male that has not had some sort of locker room talk. Anyway, what is important to note, and what I find myself doing all the time, is just looking an multiple views and debates on Trumps actions, and generally one of those views will resonate and make sense to me, and then I come up with my own interpretation. The amount of bull shit the media spreads is actually horrifying.
The woman I know, who voted for him, is divorced and highly successful. She lives in Malibu, which is largely Clinton supporters.
What I'm saying is that Trump might not be what the media makes him out to be. The markets love him, and he is following through on his campaign promises like no other president before him. Good or bad, that he is sticking to his guns makes him respectable, in my opinion.
Roovdwalt - yes, the lock room talk is certainly normal - I dont think one can have an issue with that as a single incident - but tack on his other comments and there is a bit of a pattern - he's a mans man and his personal character is abhorrent to me. I dont think much will change my mind on that one. However, your point about MSM cherry picking is 100% correct, and that I dont follow US politics all that closely, that I am asking what I am missing - what makes Trump so appealling.
I certainly think Obama would be more pleasant at a braai, than Trump. But I think Trump is a better president than Obama.
@Jerm I think you have a point there - Barry was far more palatable and affable. I do think that if Trump was less abrasive, he might not inspire such a massive divide in opinion and people would focus more on what he is DOING and not what he is SAYING.
I also think that Trump is a result of the left's constant dismissal of anything to do with white males who are straight. The more the media tries to reduce men to nothing, the more pushback we will see, like we are seeing.
"Toxic masculinity" mantra leads to guys flipping the bird.
I feel like Trump is very calculated in the way he speaks and what he says. If you have read the art of the deal, a lot of it will make sense. Most may find it repulsive, but he does it for a reason and obviously it works.
I like Trump. Him becoming Prez has made the left eat themselves and brought out their true beliefs and intentions.
Plus, Trump was a businessman who had a TV show and then got pissed off at everything. He said I'm going to run for president to fix this mess. Everybody laughed and then he won.
That, to me, is brilliant.
Yip
The moment he announced it I said to my wife he will win and she laughed. It is the only thing the wife has ever admitted to being wrong about.
@MikeyMike Wives can admit being wrong????
Only once LOL
The best for me was election night, with all the media expecting Hillary to win, and the change from upbeat to lower than life expressions was classic
@Jerm @MikeyMike @Roovdwalt - I can see the merit in your points. I read the art of the deal, liked Trump in the Apprentice. He has brought businesses and himself back from the brink - so from that perspective, it would be wrong to say is an idiot - I am just saying that as a person I find him repulsive, I find his employment of his family a bit dodgey, should a president still have such close dealings with his businesses whilst in office? Are Huckabee and Guilliani really good reps for his case? I dont know. Like I say I dont understand American politics - right now my main concern is SA. And a shared concern that MSM everywhere has an agenda - which is one of the reasons I support alternative media sources becuase they are not obliged to jump to tunes that they dont agree with.
@Dusty You have valid concerns, I think what matters, and what will get him in office again is more about what he is doing for the economy as well as his slogan on putting America first. Which must be a breath of fresh air for most people especially the people that have been struggling without work or who had no real access to the economy
@Roovdwalt I appreciate that Trumps win was a good "up yours" to the opposition. But there is the question that he didn't win the popular vote? I personally wouldnt have voted for Clinton either. Its times like these that I think Roman of the Renegade Reports beliefs in anarchism / self determination are spot on.
How does the popular vote work here in SA? Even the people that vote for the ANC are suffering. The electoral system in the states has always been like that, cannot say it doesnt work once Trump is elected
The popular vote is a misnomer.
I fully believe in Self Determination... The problem with it is that it can take a whole life time to happen, time that we do not have
In our country of course, much easier in a place like the US
Trolling level: JERM
@Jerm that is trolling level: 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Thanks @Roovdwalt - that an excellent point and one I have thought of. I think that if Trump tweaked the way he delivers his messages, tones down / fine tunes his tweet storms, this point will be the focus of his presidency, not SNL skits with Stormy Daniels for eg, or Melania's choice of "I dont care jacket". Again I am not a fundi on American voting system - but the disparity between the electoral college and pop vote was disproportionate this time around. As for the popular vote in SA ..... eish! That is a can of worms all on its own . Lastly, yes - self determination is time we dont have .... things are becoming very claustrophobic in SA .
This was a great video released a year before the election and unbiased view on why Trumps charisma would win the election (May have been different if democrats didn't have Hillary on the ticket): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LibRNYJmZ-I
@Roovdwalt - I am entering uncharted territory here . I genuinely do not have enough knowledge of the US/Trump other than the odd bits here and there, and a personal dislike of him as a human - I really just wanted to know what was so great about Trump. I asked because , for instance for years I have dismissed Afriforum,, dismissed @Jerm for e.g. as a load of kooks and just read my MSM news like a good girl. In the last year I'd say I am now a lot more open to people whose opinions differ, and find myself agreeing with what might be called alt-right / far left similtaneously - reading all sides of the story and making my own mind up instead of having it made up for me.
@Dusty Welcome to the dark side LOL. Yeah look, Trump as a person sitting down with and shooting the shit with is probably not going to be most peoples cup of beer. As a president though,I think he has done more to open the eyes of a lot of people and given people that nudge to say fuck the MSM and to look for alternative media. In doing so, it has exposed the utter shit that has been pushed to people and I think this is a common thing around the world.
@Jerm - yes. That's whats inspired me to become a Patreon. I like authentic people, who are uncompromising on their own values and principles - and come from an educated place (ie all factors considered) and I like people who are brave enough to put their voice out their and not be ashamed of it.
@Dusty We have all been there, and being open minded, as well as having free though allows us to to form our own conclusions not conclusions MSM want to enforce on us. Ultimately, it does not matter what our individual thoughts are, what does is that we can speak about it without holding back and have meaningful dialog. I also find myself floating between right and left, and don't like being categorized as "Right wing, Left Wing or even centralist" I just want to be me.
@MikeyMike - 100% agree re: MSM - alternative media. @Roovdwalt you and I are on the same page. Its been good having a talk - I think its really important to engage! That said I have some work that I need to start engaging else that loaf of bread will fail to reach table shortly. Have a good day all.
Enjoy!
@Jerm to climb in on the Trump debate. I have a few mates in US some who voted for him and some who didn't. This is a conversation I have had with the ones who voted for him several times. What strikes me is how prevalent identity politics is everywhere in the world.
Trump on balance can't be described as a good person, but because of the bloody nose he gave the left people will defend the indefensible.
His attitude towards women is poor. The amount of woman voters he attracted doesn't change that. The ANC's attitude towards to poor is bad, and they still get the majority of the poor vote.
The MSM definitely overplays his fumbles, but there is no doubt that he used the zero tolerance policy at the border as a negotiating startegy... In my book that is really crappy.
If you took it from a US standpoint, he has played up divisions in society in order to consolidate power. Exactly what EFF and ANC do on this side. In my book that is really crappy.
Sites that log the honesty of leaders (that existed before Trump), show that he is far less honest than previous leaders (that in my book is crappy).
I don't know why people have to take this all or nothing approach to politics... they aren't sports teams, we can agree with some aspects and concede that other aspects are poor.
@Tom_Servo agreed, but if we look at dishonesty, then Clinton surely reins supreme... That was the biggest mistake of the democrats, having Clinton on the ballot
She had way too many scandals surrounding her and pretty much lied everytime she actually needed to be honest
I also don't get this Trump / Clinton ongoing comparison. Election was ages ago... He should now be judged on his own merit
and if she won, then she should have been
But, here are the stats :
Yeah of course, but the debate was on the presidential election and why people are attracted to him, so it is still relevant. If he is being judged on his campaign promises, I would say, barring a few things, he is on track
either way, republicans didn't have to put trump up as a candidate, so this false comparison to Hillary gets old... There were some decent conservative candidates early in the primaries but Trumps playground strategy worked
Trump is their Zuma
doesnt matter what he does, supporters will defend
When I see this I dont know if Politifact is liberal owned with its own Bias
well thats your call to make.... but if evidence that contradicts your viewpoint makes you double down on your existing view point then I would suggest that no evidence will ever be enough
all I can say (anecdotally) was that a republican friend sent me this site after obama was elected to show how much he was lying
and on single items I have not encountered clearly biased findings
these graphs are the scores of investigated claims
I am always seeking the truth, but when I see such a difference between democrats and republicans on a website, I question what is not being told.
fair enough - it is possible that they choose not to investigate democrat lies, but you can search the site and see if your favourites are there
in my experience they are balanced
Its the first time I have seen the site, so please excuse my ignorance, I am just pointing out on first impressions
I am not trying to be rude (sorry if it comes off that way)
I am not radical leftist, I dont take offense ๐
Its still difficult to know what is true and false, I know that Poynter is funded by George Soros, as are many fact checking companies
yoh great trump chat!
Damn, wish every leftist would watch this with an open mind:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVruEq-Gupk
I love Trump because he flips the bird at everybody. He has completely derailed mainstream media and doesn't give a shit.
@Robzombie I saw that earlier today, was def interesting
And his presidency isn't terrible either. The markets are doing fine. The people who hate him are just emotional.
Watching how people have lost their minds with Trump is the best when in actually fact he isn't doing to much of a kak job. Also can not judge the man to hard 2.5 years into office.
@Tom_Servo
"Trump on balance can't be described as a good person, but because of the bloody nose he gave the left people will defend the indefensible."
Describing him as good or bad is not something we can do, since it is a moral judgement, and we don't know him. We only know what the media portrays. Therefore, good or bad is irrelevant.
@Jerm yeah and i am in support of his trade war....why...because the Chinese have defrauded the US with almost 1 trillion dollars in the last 10 years, if you have netflix watch the chinese hustle docu....very interesting
I don't buy arguments favouring "balance" anymore. I used to, when I was naive.
At the end of the day, if he is "Making America Great Again" what more do the people want
exactly
Also, Hilary was president for 2 terms during the 90s. Why would she want to be president again?
he is probably the only Prez that is actually doing as he promised
@Roovdwalt They want to "feel safe".
She also wanted some fun in the Oval room like Bill did
Hilary also stated she wanted a wall, back in 2009, I think.
The difference is that she said "fence" and not "wall".
Its illogical to NOT want a wall... or barrier, or fence.... regardless of its make up
"As a senator from New York, Clinton voted to authorize war not just in Afghanistan but in Iraq, too, despite a less-than-compelling case for invading the latter country. She also supported extended occupations that have failed to accomplish anything other the near-complete destabilization of the entire Middle East and Central Asian regions. Incredibly, she still talks about the U.S. intervention in Libyaโwhich she argued for forcefully as Secretary of Stateโas an example of "smart power." "
"Add to that her near-complete failure while serving as the nation's top diplomat (including a ludicrously botched "reset" with Russia) and her calls for increasing all manner of surveillance in the service of the global war on terror and you're looking at a huge increase in state power with little sense of balance or responsibility."
Clinton on free speech:
""You're going to hear all of the usual complaintsโyou know, 'freedom of speech,' etc.," she said. "But if we truly are in a war against terrorism and we are truly looking for ways to shut off their funding, shut off the flow of foreign fighters, then we've got to shut off their means of communicating.""
"Clinton however supported the odious Defense of Marriage Act signed by her husband in the late 1990s, which was an attempt to forestall recognition of gay marriage. In fact, she only embraced marriage equality in 2013, in a conversion that is widely seen as political."
The woman flipflipped incredibly.
She also opposes free trade deals like NAFTA, CAFTA, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
She would have been a tragic president.
But let's get sad about Trump's guy talk in a locker room.
Thats why I believe the election failed so badly for the democrats... People are tired of the Clintons...
I think if Sanders was on the ticket, the race could have been different
"If Trump wins I am moving to another country" - Only heard of Madonna moving so far... Cant be that bad in the States
John Cleese is moving to the US, I think.
Hahahaha
Well there you have it
But that is also crap from all these so called celebrities. "If Trump wins, i'm moving blah blah blah" It happens aaaaaaand nothing. They stay and bitch about him not sticking to his word yet they still there. They bitch about him wanting to build a wall, yet have 100m high walls around their own properties and never invite immigrants into their own homes that have 20 open bedrooms. Groups like Antifa that label every Trump supporter a racist/nazi/homophobe simply because they support Trump are the best simply because they 1) half of them do not actual know why they protesting 2) watching them cry is awesome
@Jerm I mentioned specific things which I think are relevant. Put simply :
- He is more dishonest than most
- He is willing to increase human suffering in order to make political gains (might not be unique to him, but his
moves seem more arb.
- He is deliberately divisive
I think these are relevant, and these qualities can be witnessed without looking through the lense of MSM
I don't agree.
Obama was willing - and did - increase human suffering.
Obama deported the most immigrants than any president before him.
not the reasons why I like / dislike Obama
He was also the first president in US history to serve 2 full terms at war.
Trump's dishonesty doesn't matter to me.
it doesn't have to matter to you for it to matter
it doesn't matter to the markets either.
Trust is something that matters to markets... and leadership
his dishonesty just hasn't played out there
