Like Montana @missliterallywho lol

2018-12-07 22:40:53 UTC

expected it? yeah. disgusted with it? yeah

2018-12-07 22:40:57 UTC

I hope. This is an absolute travesty. This isn't some internet stuff, these are people's lives

2018-12-07 22:41:08 UTC

Absolutely destroyed

2018-12-07 22:41:11 UTC

I think involuntary manslaughter would even be a stretch, he was scared and perhaps drove with gross negligence, but even that could be defeated with an instruction on responding to emergencies and the contributory negligence of the police

2018-12-07 22:41:23 UTC

@William Russell lol like Montana and boomers like my mother, yes

2018-12-07 22:41:46 UTC

dude was literally following directions on his phone, not some premeditated path into protestors. involuntary would be the absolute max

2018-12-07 22:42:00 UTC

Anarchists celebrating in the streets during a state of emergency encacted because the local government conspired to incite violence and shut down the rally goer's rights

2018-12-07 22:42:02 UTC

incompetent lawyers?

2018-12-07 22:42:12 UTC

judge that supports antifa

2018-12-07 22:42:25 UTC

"I was following the instructions on my phone" isn't a great defense when there were hundreds of people in front of him

2018-12-07 22:42:30 UTC

its more a matter of treason and subversion than incompetence

2018-12-07 22:42:35 UTC

The real lesson here is, if you're gonna be an anarchist protester, don't be 300 lbs

2018-12-07 22:42:53 UTC

dude was driving away from people pointing rifles at him and trying to break into his car w bats Nate ffs

2018-12-07 22:43:00 UTC

Antifa even harassed a defense witness into not showing--and the witness is now in trouble with the judge.

2018-12-07 22:43:01 UTC

Just from another angle if a family member of mine were injured by his car because someone else hit it or scared him or whatever I’d still want him to face some sort of prison time.

2018-12-07 22:43:03 UTC

yeah it's really unfortunate

2018-12-07 22:43:09 UTC

Complete and utter anarcho tyranny

2018-12-07 22:43:36 UTC

he didnt look up from his phone? idk id like to hear from a semi unbiased lawyer. we're armchair quarterbacks

2018-12-07 22:43:40 UTC

Watershed moment for the US justice system

2018-12-07 22:43:45 UTC

I’m talking about one of the other dozen plus innocent bystanders

2018-12-07 22:43:57 UTC

>"justice" system <:really:453005408064241674>

2018-12-07 22:44:06 UTC

@William Russell I'd want the people intimidating and threatening the driver punished, not the driver himself

2018-12-07 22:44:11 UTC

Maybe so

2018-12-07 22:44:18 UTC

But someone needs consequences

2018-12-07 22:44:18 UTC

no, the reason the phone part is important is because it proves that the commonwealth's attempt to prove premeditated intent is bogus and backed by nothing. that prevents the legitimacy of most of the charges they have on him.

2018-12-07 22:46:22 UTC

JEWstice system

2018-12-07 22:46:39 UTC

Horrific things don’t happen then everyone just gets to go home

2018-12-07 22:46:57 UTC

Obviously the justice system is occupied by a hostile class of foreigners

2018-12-07 22:48:06 UTC

It confirms what we already know about the Justice system of *Charlottesville*

2018-12-07 22:48:39 UTC

@William Russell actually no, sometimes in negligence claims losses happen and nobody is to blame and the loss must unfortunately remain upon the plaintiff because nobody is a substantial factor. In order to shift the loss from the victim/plaintiff to a defendant they must be held liable via duty, breach, causation (actual and proximate) and damages. The police are arguably liable for negligence if not outright reckless behavior since they knowingly disregarded a substantial risk. I would say that the government of cville even acted purposefully.

2018-12-07 22:48:43 UTC

F!!! the police's boss

2018-12-07 22:49:11 UTC

Yes Cville is not the place

2018-12-07 22:49:23 UTC

Jefferson is rolling in his grave

2018-12-07 22:49:24 UTC

The govt of Cville absolutely acted purposefully.

2018-12-07 22:49:46 UTC

I understand what you’re saying @TylerHess

2018-12-07 22:52:22 UTC

I’ve kept up with the case through a couple of commie journo type twitter accounts there in Cville to see both sides I think the prosecution just outperformed the defense entirely as well

2018-12-07 22:52:42 UTC

Did he have a public attorney?

2018-12-07 22:52:47 UTC

He probably didn’t qualify

2018-12-07 22:52:56 UTC

I dont think the defense even tried ):

2018-12-07 22:53:01 UTC

Idk but I imagine the prosecution had quite the legal team
