Kentucky was spared only because we remained neutral.

Kentucky remained neutral only because we thought we could keep our slaves if we did so. But with that said, Jefferson Davis was from Kentucky and a large portion of the Confederate Generals as well. Not to mention that Kentucky seceded in 1864 but Lincoln moved in forces to keep them from taking complete control of Kentucky.

Lincoln has been often described as a tyrant for a reason, but I suppose that’s mainly due to his Caesarian style

Many will argue however that his strong measures were needed to keep together the nation

But that’s neither here nor there

I think that America is more than a government though

And that such a view may be a bit mistaken

Both sides were Americans

With the Confederate side being more along the lines of what the Founding Fathers intended regarding small government and states rights
