I started out as AnCom thanks to Kropotkin with Marxist sympathies (I really like both of their bodies of work). A few months ago, Muke engaged me in conversation and convinced me to go through State and Revolution...
If we want a revolution that is maintained, we need a strong socialist state. Period. Lenin makes good on Kropotkin's weak points in his theory. As Chopin said, humans have to be ready for it.
Actually how Chopin said it was better period. We have to prepare human nature for it. Going full AnCom can work with a small commune... but a larger society requires human nature to be adjusted for it.
It isn't a natural jump from people that have had to live in a world devoured, exploited and controlled by a predatory market. My Hegel is a little weak, but it just does not flow naturally, analytically speaking.
We *need* a strong socialist state to advocate for and defend our fellow Proletarians from the blood hungry Capitalist warmachine. A centralized power that can both arm and organize the people's defense forces is paramount to defend the new Socialist state and the Proletariat.
A centralized power will also make the accounting and distribution of goods both significantly easier and efficient. Otherwise we risk famines and the outbreak of otherwise preventable illnesses during and after the transition period.
tl;dr: There is no lasting revolution without a state.

@Deleted User If the conclusions I've drawn from the revolution here in the US is any indication, one of the factors that lead to a succesful revolution here in America, as opposed to France was that the institutions put in place already existed in the form of the colonial charters and had existed for a century or more at the time of the revolution. The people who managed and fought the war for independence had already been living and acting semi-independent of the UK in the mode of government they would adopt after 1776 and revise and strengthen in the 1780's. As one scholar put it - I really need to find and read that book, "On Revolution" - the Patriots had the sewing part down as much as they did the cutting.
So it appears to me, as @Cyrinika said there'll need be some sort of foundation down in somewhere like the states where a majority of the population - or enough of it - lives by certain Socialist or Communist standards. Even AnCom'ing a few small towns would be as nice as at least AnMutualising larger ones even, or even finding ways on certain levels of society to reorganize local politics.
It's kind of like stealing the GOP's grand strategy for the passed thirty or more years: take office seats at the lowest possible levels of government and build your agenda from there if not raise career politicians from that seat.
I don't really care who it's carried out by. At this point the disenfranchising element on the left is the sectarian nature of it fueled by high-minded theory.
The guy at the mechanics shop isn't going to wrap his head around surplus value or dialectics. But he can wrap his head around possibly organizing things with the five other guys there to better split the profits if it means higher over-all pay for the same amount of work.
Or even just a sense of ownership even.

It has promise. I mean, I doubt the entire Red Guard was read up on Kapital. But they all knew they were getting screwed over and wanted better for theselves and their countryโโif not the world. Being loud and disseminating ideas are important. In America, you have to change your dialogue a little bit due to the Mc Carthyism BS to appeal to everyone (not that we have to) just so that the message can be heard. Richard Wolff has a lot of really great videos that use 'relatable' terms. Employee instead of Proletariat and the like. For introducing more of us to our theory, approachability is important.
That being said, I'm a fan of the established dialogue and jargon, so I usually use it once I get a feeling that a person won't be alienated by it. Dialetical methods are very useful for spreading the ideology on a personal level.
