I bet we could use cameras like that for iris matching if we could get good enough pictures. Maybe bring a IR LED array to make sure you get a good image.

Or at the very least it would scare them once they realize what it's for.

You'd have to have a ridiculously high resolution image to get usable iris data from a distance (I'm talking more than a foot away from their face).

But it could be some good psychological warfare to get one of those above cameras and put a big "INFRARED IRIS SCANNER" sign on it and point it at them lol.

Not really cost effective but funny nonetheless

@ManWithTheHand knock of go pros aren't bad, They get the job done if you're wanting one to document anything that might happen for legal reasons. I found a used go pro knock off at a pawn shop for like $80

Used go pros are hit or miss, beware. Can buy new ones of the first models with less features and such from gopro, a hero1 is like 100 bucks i think
