Most, not all, I could see some being thrilled to live under Imperator Trump
I’m looking it up in Wikipedia and they are also know as “yellow deli people”. I’ve never heard of them.
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN There was an old dude at their deli in CA who would eye me creepily every time I ate there, then send his wife over to wait on our table. They're certainly not all cool people.
@ThisIsChris I was joking about that/making a point
Real fertility cult hours
@missliterallywho gross. Sorry that happened to ya.
Christians don't check that you have been baptized or sincerely believe the teachings either
wow
just
Society
X-ians btfo
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN no big deal, kinda used to it from frequenting dive bars in my early 20s 💁
I'm not, like, totally heartless or anything. Like, I'm not gonna get mad if Ukrainian war orphans get temporary asylum. But I'm generally against permanent migration.
Even in the case of useful skilled workers, there's no need to let them stay permanently. Just give them work visas that last as long as they're useful. @Trashboat
Yeah, when I was 17, a Jewish photographer wanted to take pictures of me and set me up with his son. Kept asking my mom if I was allowed to date at 17. Like he wanted it arranged lolol
uhhhhh you sure you weren't getting groomed?
I can't btfo anyone's religion. Sincere believers wouldn't care anyway.
@Logan they do check you've been baptized though at certain points
Bro, all I am saying is that I can understand why the Euro immigrants came here in the 1800's.
like you need to show a baptismal certificate and confirmation certificate to get married
Maybe the churches I’ve gone to are lax af, no one’s ever checked on what I believe or if I’ve been baptized 🤔
@Nerv - VA The delis are rad and very worth patronizing if you ever see one
@ThisIsChris that is bigoted af
how can they literally in current year so disheartened and shaking rn
I mean, I understand, but I still disagree with it @Trashboat
That is the case for a catholic church wedding is it not? @ThisIsChris
My dad came here on bogus refugee status, so I feel the need to make up for it by fighting against it
@Trashboat yes it is
That is true justice, Jacob.
Makes sense
I also needed to post a public notice that I was getting married, so that if anyone knew that I had been married at another time or was ineligible for any other reason that they could inform the Church and stop the wedding.
That's based imo
@ThisIsChris pretty neat that churches still have some rights over who they allow to participate. Would be nice if we could get them back into politics.
@ThisIsChris or run down the aisle yelling "I object!" when the priest asked for dissenters. Do they still do that?
Didn't they used to do blood tests when people were getting married?
My QUITE OLD mother tells me something like that.
My parents did the marriage blood test
Really?
oh and my mom came here through chain migration
