Sometimes I read baby name websites for fun and they suggest a lot of retarded names
My best friend and her sister ONLY have a first name and last name. No middle name. Just keep this stuff simple, ffs.
Even if you look at the most recent list of most popular names there's some pretty weird stuff in the top 100
@Reinhard Wolff it is! been having a pretty great weekend, but monday is grind time for finals
I'm going to name my son Jack because it's the most popular name in Ireland. And I'll go down the list for all the boys I might have
these get really weird
Why don't you do like the loyal Indians do and name him after the king of England you traitor! @Sacramento
Fuck England
I'm going to have 4 kids: Patrick, Casey, Jared, and Taylor
LOL
Lmfao the potato
oh and the autistic twins, Richard and Spencer
@Jacob Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl
@Jacob What about the redheaded stepchild...Evan?
DAS RIGHT LADDY
🇮🇪
As crazy and narcissistic as that expecting mother is, I like her drive regarding family names.
Powerful clans are an achievable dream
Titles and professions aren't first names tho
Imma name my baby Lance Corporal
You think that's bad? I met a guy named Caveman Justis once.
I once knew a dude who changed his name...true story, I shit you not...to: Lord Sir Guy.
We liked to tease him that he was so unsure of his sexuality, he had to remind himself thrice.
fuck it I'm just gonna name my kid "Identitarian Activist"
Does anyone know why some european countries used professions for surnames while others used regions?
don't they generally use both?
then there's my last name, which doesn't mean anything
@Goose Bcause they just used to have one name, and they all knew each other by "William [the] Miller", or "Robert [the] Smith"
And any children they had, grew up into the same profession.
(sons). The daughters of course married men of other professions
Germanic or Latin originated names are the most evropean
That's why royalty titles were so important, because it separated the royal family members from the commoners
No mistake to be made between Sir Robert, and Robert [the] Miller
Tfw when every family name you have, Italian to German to English, is peasant tier
Tfw you come from peasants all across the board
The popular naming trends are pretty funny, because over time you can tell every American's thought was "I want to be unique" but they all ended up trying to be unique in very similar ways. 😑
@âš¡Clarkâš¡ I actually never my other family names that's a good idea
@Goose there’s 3 types of european names; occupational, habitational, and son ofs
