@Nemets I get it. I'm mainly referring to the historical gymnastics required to justify reparations simply based on identity. Also, I'm mainly talking about the American slavery context.
@fgtveassassin I donated plasma for a few months last year. It didn't pay much, but I had some free time every week to do it a few times a month. I was just trying to scrape up some extra money for a trip. There's no shame in it.
@Myndrian It probably depends on the religion. I believe that concern for one's children, family, and close friends is the most powerful motivation a person can have. It just so happens that some religions tend to be in alignment with those concerns.
@Myndrian That may be true, but it only works on people who share the same religion or religious history. I don't think many Buddhists would be motivated by hellfire for instance. Only Christians or people with a Christian upbringing would be swayed by that. It's a strategy for the in-group.
I'm all in support of inflating the collective egos of other races as long as it builds in them a desire for independence from, rather than dependence on, a European-American funded multiracial state.
@ThisIsChris It's a big deal, but only as a threat to the Constitution. AIPAC is making a huge mistake by trying to pass it. It's like admitting what all the JQ people have been saying all long. Bad PR.
