Hi
It flipped, trump costs 77cents
@xephael yes, predictit
Don't use predictit
They have a 10% fee on profits, and a 5% fee on total withdrawal
This also makes their market have an error compared to the other foreign markets (see the RCP betting odds average for a list; the entire list stayed within 2% of eachother, while predictit was wildly different)
I managed to get a snapshot of predictit again
Seems like it can be overcome
And the ballots left might be almost all blue if the remaining ballots are from mail in votes
67% of counties or 67% of ballots
Because if it is all mail in ballots left, it is likely to get more blue
Same day registration
(:
It might not be available
My point was that it isnt really crazy to have more voters than old registration numbers
I don't have the numbers myself
I doubt any fishy business will be enough that if corrected for will change anything
The sharpies are interesting though
Maybe a recount or something might flip some places
Yes, I think Robert said he did
But he also said his was definitely counted
But other counties are rumoring that there issues with this
Woah
Wow that's pretty interesting
Which state is that?
Ack
Not enough information
It might be that some sharpies are ok
Just not enough info
Cryptocurrency, like bitcoin
The same technology can be used for voting
Can have some nice features like transparency, publicly auditable, cryptographically secure, and with some finesse, anonymity
In theory yes
In practice no
It would raise so many other issues
You'd need a cryptographically secure id
So you'd have to win the voter id fight first
It does
But there are fights all over the US claiming that some people don't have ids
And that voter id laws are about disenfranchising minorities
The argument is separate from the implications
If we can't agree on that, we aren't doing anything like blockchain
@DeathRhodes666 there is no point arguing with me about it lol, you preaching to the choir
There are some good ancillary arguments of general voter suppression
I think that a moderate democrat could be convinced to change their focus from banning voter ID requirements, to requiring the government to ensure free ID enfranchisement
Getting an ID in NYC took me an entire afternoon(12-5pm) and something like 60 bucks
That is insane
FL was the best experience with ID
Felt like 5 minutes and the fee was miniscule
PA was midling
I had to wait a while
Can't recall the fee but it wasn't insane
PA raise your hand ๐
@TacitusKilgore yea right now everyone is arguing about that issue in bad faith
But I think headway could be made if they worked together
But there is no real incentive to right now
It's perfect issue for both sides
Point being, blockchain or whatever doesn't stand a chance currently
I don't think it has anything to do with some deadline
Technological change
Internet
Urbanization
I think people see patterns too much
The rome trope raises my skeptical meters to full
that wasn't meant to attract minorities
they already had minorities in the bag
that was meant to attract so called "allies"
fire them up etc.
Biden wasn't even that strong on that sort of thing
(he isn't very woke personally)
and you point out the irony that focusing on racial inequalities did not help or perhaps harmed their minority vote numbers
and I am saying I don't think the did that expecting a larger minority vote
(NYT)
there may be late mail ins as well
I think people just need to unknow that common forms of news media and social media are unbiased in any fashion, and reknow that they are basically party platforms
using Facebook is basically giving money and power to the DNC, nothing short
however, this knowledge will lead to a bifurcation of media, and a bifurcation of employers, and businesses
NYT has an EC view
wow that is pretty cool
@Sam (VVG_TV) cool
I drew lines
but he has to win PA
and PA isn't looking good
NC is a maybe
GA is maybe last time I checked
he must win AZ or NE and both are maybe
obviously flipping WI via court or something would be useful
there is too much sarcasm to make sense of what you are saying @Zuluzeit
@shaunm109 from the numbers, it seems like yes, though some people might know more about what kinds of votes and from where are left to count and know more
@Zuluzeit I am sorry I don't understand you
@Doc where?
cool ๐
ha I meant it in the "that's interesting" sense
