CS is the most lucrative thing ever
@Jacob I did the exact same thing
I wish I had done ANY CS in school
underwater welding is dangerous as all hell
or just be non white and get in on "diversity" @ThisIsChris
@Felix If you do go, maybe do community college first and get an AA. Its easy to transfer and way cheaper.
in current year...
I dropped out to go into IT/devops. Im in charge of my entire dept at a small company rn making more than I would have made after going into physics research in either public or private sector
"Learn to code." we need a Dune style ban on A.I. non negotiable.
idk I don't have a lot of confidence in money making me much happier
Without a college degree or experience (besides a training course) my company hires fresh new programmers at 71k
For every Tay you're going to get thirty Zuckerbergs
@Jacob Money won't make you happy, I can attest to this personally.
if you have a masters in computer science from literally anywhere and one internship, then my company offers 125k starting
Money just masks underlying problems.
and my company doesn't even pay as well as most others
Hook it up @ThisIsChris ๐
ya but you have to live in New York
> tfw i have an art school degree, not CS <:sad:366743316475281408>
@Jacob dude money might not make you happier but it makes happiness way way easier
money certainly makes life less stressful
@Asatru Artist - MD Making effective I.E art work and flyers > coding nerds, tbh
@Jacob If you're willing to commute an hour then you'll find plenty of white neighborhoods
We ALL need to focus on getting each other elected to offices.
wait...can't we all just throw around our white privilege and be happy??? ๐ค
Or just hang out with us local IE guys
> if you're willing to commute an hour
@The Eternal Anglo It certainly gives me some purpose.
@Jacob I'm not but a lot of people here do for that reason. My brother commutes 2.5 hours
๐ฌ
2.5 hours...ouch.
I commuted 1.5 hours each way and it was life draining.
@ThisIsChris One way or both?!
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN one way
no thanks
that's not normal by the way
his choice
I have ~1hr one way to school, but it is easy prairie roads, and I only go to class half the week, and there's always more podcasts!
Is this the conversation theyโre having on โThe Rootโ?
@Deleted User The root? The black anti-white click bait site?
@Wood-Ape - OK/MN also to clarify for my brother's commute, it's all train so he just sits on his computer, cell phone, or sleeps
Ya
If I knew anything about political campaigns, I would have each of you in office ASAP.
Whoa 2.5 hour commute sucks balls
@ThisIsChris That japanese style life
The finest men we have are right here.
Mine is like 45 minutes and that's plenty for me
I was thinking about something IE could do for midterms. Help drive old Boomers to the polls. Operation Boomer Zoomer.
@Deleted User After I get settled in my job that's in the works (Gov. works slow) then I plan to run local
@Deleted User That's kind of you to say. Once I graduate I plan to infiltrate my local GOP Allsup style.
All able I.E should be running for their local government
We have to!
I will work tirelessly on your media, pr and branding.
I wouldn't mind living in the kind of area I do now
Somewhat rural
If I had a car, not much would be missing from my life
Short Gold
@Sam Anderson thatโs it. This is our two pronged Culture plus bureaucrat.
Trick is (gonna do this tomorrow) finding swing localities.
We have to have the brain power to do it.
hell yeah
Jared Kushner figures it out for Peteโs sake!
Ill take a call option on trade weighted USD
Old boss same as the new boss?
This was a point of contention because people weren't sure if there would be 1 tri-lateral agreement or 3 bi-lateral agreements
Is this a troll?
HAHAH AHA
Sorted in order of Testosterone levels
Im not sure if its a globalist talking point but what I've always heard about trade deals is that the lawyers who negotiate them for each country actually have no idea whos 'winning'
Ive mostly heard that through freakonomics and the economist so take it with a grain of salt
What exactly is a "racist liberal?" Not in a cucky DR3 context, but in an alt right or identitarian context?
@Koba yeah it could be that two countries are winning but one is winning more than the other? Canadian Dollars are up tonight against the US Dollar
I assume new nafta is more important to canada than US, so this would make sense
@Rick I know a lot, most people I grew up with were like that
The talking point Ive always heard is that trade deals are very complex, but the lawyers negotiating components of them are negotiating niche components of them with very niche views attached to what theyre negotiating so they dont consider the bigger picture
not sure if that applies here, but the news alone will most likely drive trade weighted USD higher just given general economic confidence under Trump
@Rick From my understanding, a "racist liberal" is someone who isn't particularly conservative, just hates immigration
I'm kind of a racist liberal tbh
@Koba I agree, I am shorting gold because it's a standard for the USD to go up against
I hate the word conservative. I prefer traditional.
Gold has been being beaten up lately, first with the fed rate hike last week and then strengthening USD and CAD tonight
I wouldn't mind a social democracy but with white people
yeah USD trade weighted has an inverse relationship with gold almost all of the time
there are rare circumstances in which a pairs trade with both gold and USD will net a profit
@Rick I don't like the word "conservative" either. I associate it with anti-intellectual types.
A "conservative" sounds like a guy who rambles about low taxes, spouts off a few platitudes about freedom, reminds us that he doesn't care where people come from as long as they come legally, and makes fallacious arguments about how social sucks because Venezuela.
Thanks
I normally associate those things to Boomers, and I suppose young Conservatives as well. Northern conservatism is diet leftistism @Jacob
Espouse Conservation; conserve nothing
@Rick Two meanings: from the left it means people who are 'woke' but still really don't want to diversify their shit up (see also, the movie "Get Out" just don't pay for it). From the right, some of the harder core types think elements of the Alt-Right aren't sufficiently devout.
the main problem with conservatism is that its become secular as opposed to christian. im not sure if it was ever exclusively christian as opposed to implicitly christian or some mix of both.
Honestly, I'm leaning more towards socialism these days anyway. I don't really have anything in common with conservatives. Being corporate slaves doesn't sound fun.
Eric Striker 2024?
Imagine not being a neo-feudalist
wew
@Jacob Marxist socialism? or European socialism?
