2017-06-30 18:49:32 UTC

I have a system that will alleviate shuttle concerns. It's not complicated, but will take some organizing. I'm willing to do this. The first thing is to get people in contact and lodging with each other.

2017-07-01 16:16:29 UTC

I have spoken with MadDimension and have run the fundamentals by him.

2017-07-01 16:18:11 UTC

It will take some coordination and pre-planning but that will allow us to run smoothly and everyone get in and quickly without excessive exposure.

2017-07-01 16:23:47 UTC

Are either or you carpool coordinators or could you point those individuals toward in the future?

2017-07-13 02:44:36 UTC
2017-07-13 03:19:48 UTC

@AltCelt(IL) That would be a very useful thing if you indeed can manage it. Please keep me informed.

2017-07-16 13:33:21 UTC

@everyone I'm going to be organizing the Shuttles System to maximize efficiency and reduce the amount of people exposed to absolute minimum. It's not a hard task to understand but it will take cooperation and organization.

First – I need to know who is renting 12, 15 and even 8 seater vans and how many.
Please reply back here.

2017-07-16 13:36:48 UTC
2017-07-16 13:39:57 UTC

@Tyrone Confirm with @Chef Goyardee but I believe he is renting a 15 passenger van.

2017-07-16 13:41:28 UTC

@Tyrone @Athena Marie is renting a 15-seater ( think it's 15)

2017-07-16 13:42:04 UTC

maybe it's 12

2017-07-16 13:57:47 UTC

@Phillip Wiglesworth - FL @Tyrone we both have 15 PAX vans

2017-07-16 13:58:23 UTC

I'll be happy to assist

2017-07-16 14:14:11 UTC

πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘

2017-07-16 15:26:44 UTC

Yeah I'm renting a 15 passenger van but all things considered it's gonna seat 10 to 12 after luggage and even then it's gonna be a tight fit

2017-07-16 15:34:18 UTC

Talking about for shuttle to site up there @Pharaoh Bearclaw III - FL

2017-07-16 15:34:37 UTC

Luggage and whatnot should be in rooms at that point

2017-07-16 15:36:50 UTC

Ahhhh okay then yeah we can cram more at that point

2017-07-16 15:50:01 UTC

More like a shuttle transporting groups of ppl from a parking area to event so cars won't be there @Pharaoh Bearclaw III - FL

2017-07-16 16:10:00 UTC

@everyone Since the there appears to be confusion, I need:
One (1) person from any group bringing an 8-15 passenger van to be designated the POC and let me know how many vans and how many seats in their van. (Make sure when renting you get the walk away insurance, Antifa does something you call the company and tell them it's their problem and you need another van.)

I will be arranging for satellite meet up and parking sites. Further information on that will be coming shortly. This will take organization coordination. This will keep the exposure of small groups of people to a minimum.

If you don't want to play and just show up with your car at the rally because that sounds fine to you, YOYO man.
Further details will be forthcoming. Keep all other chatter elsewhere.

2017-07-16 18:13:18 UTC

My only concern with using my Florida van is if there is damage and I won't be able to get the Florida guys back I'm time for work on Monday because of insurance crap. Let's say the front windshield is smashed and there aren't any replacement vans available from the rental service.

2017-07-16 18:14:17 UTC

Unless your company isn't in Virginia, they are on the hook for getting a replacement to you.

2017-07-16 18:15:23 UTC

They might have to bring it to you from D.C. or Richmond, etc or work an arrangement from another company, but that's what the insurance covers.

2017-07-16 18:16:12 UTC

The other option is we all act like selfish libertarians and hope it's someone else's personal vehicle that gets hit or someone else's rental.

2017-07-16 18:16:46 UTC

Regardless, the entire purpose is to keep all the total amount of vehicles at risk to a minimum, but primarily reduce the risk to ALL of our people.

2017-07-16 18:17:15 UTC

Agreed. Just want to make sure there is a backup plan for a worse case scenario here.

2017-07-16 18:18:35 UTC

I'll talk to enterprise to double check that they will provide transportation in case of an (((accident))).

2017-07-16 18:31:21 UTC

In the event something happens cops will be involved and adjustments will have to be made to remove people from the scene. This will be a game time decision.

2017-07-17 16:05:09 UTC

2017-07-17 16:05:14 UTC

This will be us

2017-07-17 16:20:24 UTC

I know NC law is on the books that driving over protestors blocking roadways isn't an offense. This is crossover for this channel and VA law.

2017-07-17 16:21:17 UTC

Sure would be nice.

2017-07-17 17:37:18 UTC

@MadDimension I am renting a 15-passenger van and bringing a group from the S.C./central-NC area. We will be arriving on Aug. 11 and leaving Aug 13. I'd like to volunteer our van for whatever it can be used for while we're up there. Most of us are staying at the NC Haus.

2017-07-17 18:03:25 UTC

Thanks @SCnazi

2017-07-24 05:10:39 UTC

Friendly reminder to consider using Uber/Lyft services to be dropped off at safe locations close to Lee Park. Using one of these services would eliminate the danger of your car being targeted/damaged after you drove and parked it in the area (likely with some Trump/NRA/other sticker on it).

2017-07-24 05:15:19 UTC

Thats bad advice and also doesn't belong in this channel

2017-07-24 05:24:51 UTC

Probably better than your idea of renting a school bus from the local school district, imo.
If you have reasoning as to why you think using Uber/Lyft is a bad idea, however, I'm more than willing to listen.

2017-07-24 05:41:18 UTC

Also, this absolutely belongs in this channel, as it directly relates the topic of shuttle service to the event. Individuals have expressed concerns over having their owned/rented vehicles damaged, and this is an issue that needs to be addressed.

2017-07-24 05:44:08 UTC

Yes, drive to a cliff and use a glider to get to the park.

2017-07-24 05:44:17 UTC

Beat that.

2017-07-24 05:47:51 UTC

Tfw shit-tier Hindenburg transportation

2017-07-24 07:45:54 UTC

Using an Uber or a Lyft, at best, you can travel in a group or 3-4 (limited to the number of passengers in the vehicle). Right off the bat, that's a dumb idea.

2017-07-24 07:47:25 UTC

I've also had situations where Uber and Lyft were booked solid for an hour at a time with just a few seconds here and there where a car became available before it was booked by somebody else. That kind of variability introduces an element of uncertainty that you don't want to have in situations like these.

2017-07-24 07:47:42 UTC

Also, we'll have hundreds of people. I doubt there are that many Ubers/Lyfts.

2017-07-24 07:48:12 UTC

Also, if the driver feels that the situation they're getting into is unsafe (by driving close to a mob), they can reasonably deny taking you as close as you'd want to be.

2017-07-24 07:48:31 UTC

It's just a shit idea all around, especially when there are better, more reliable options being worked on by our people.

2017-07-24 07:49:27 UTC

I understand that your plan is to take an Uber, have it drop you off a few blocks away, and then walk the rest of the way, but I assure you that that is a very bad idea.

2017-07-24 07:49:56 UTC

tl;dr: "Thats bad advice and also doesn't belong in this channel"

2017-07-24 10:30:05 UTC

Even ignoring the issue of you arriving in a small group (or alone) and leaving yourself open to attack or harassment, you will probably not be able to get an Uber in the immediate vicinity after the rally, and there will likely be no extra space for you to jump on one of our shuttles if you need to get out quickly. Do you really want to be left alone in a crowd of antifa while the bulk of the rally heads back to get on a shuttle to leave?

2017-07-24 10:31:12 UTC

(But maybe you'll get really lucky amd your Uber driver will be a local commie! That'll be fun.)

2017-07-24 10:41:32 UTC

I'm trying to create a system where everyone will mass early in one close but secure location. Vehicles will be returned multiple satellite locations with drivers only.
Everyone will be shuttled to the event in very large groups so there will never be less than a few dozen together.
Afterward. Several groups of dozens at a time leave. When everyone is at the off sight rally point the shuttles will take drivers to get their vehicles. Convoys will return and from the satellite sights and large groups will leave simultaneously.
If people work together, follow the plan and don't try to be on their own program, this should limit everyone's exposure to vandalism or injury.
That's the wave tops. Without the satellite locations nailed down. I decided to post it early because I need people to conceptualize it, so that we don't have people going off script on game day or trying to tinker with things and screw up the broader system.

If you have suggestions within this framework. Please submit, but we do not need multiple people trying to devised there own system. The strength is massing the most of us as possible. @everyone

2017-07-24 10:42:00 UTC

2017-07-24 10:46:28 UTC

The only real variables at this point is how early are we starting and where are the satellite points. Which are being worked out. The time at the rally point waiting for the shuttles to return will likely be good because it will be the first time the entire group will be together and can iron out detail instead of trying to meet each other and figure it out under duress.

2017-07-24 13:00:06 UTC

Great work, @Tyrone πŸ‘ŒπŸ» let me know if there's any way I can help in establishing your proposed shuttle system. I'll definitely be a part of a Carolina convoy, myself.

2017-07-24 23:57:29 UTC

I hope the satellite parking can be on private property.

2017-07-28 10:37:44 UTC

2017-07-28 10:38:13 UTC

There's pinned messages for a reason. Please read them.

2017-07-28 10:38:56 UTC

There will be more details released tonight. However it might be late overnight.

2017-07-29 01:14:58 UTC

Is the shuttle even running for the afterparty?

2017-07-29 01:17:09 UTC

hasnt even been discussed

2017-07-29 01:18:28 UTC

Didn't think so. Every man for himself to find a designated driver or should we try to coordinate something comprehensive?

2017-07-29 02:04:18 UTC

I'm going to spend a few hours tonight working on some logistics. After its over and everyone has 88 ideas on how it would be better, let me know for next time.

2017-07-29 02:05:21 UTC

I will make a plan for the after party, because apparently we didn't get the cool place with Slave Quarters secured in time

2017-07-29 02:05:56 UTC

But let's be honest...

2017-07-29 02:06:48 UTC

All you need at the end of the night is a 2 foot by 6 foot section of floor for a couple hours

2017-07-30 19:30:27 UTC

I thought this page was for shuttle bus drivers to say that they have a shuttle. Obv, just about everyone will need to use the shuttles. The busses can make repetitive trips to Lee Park.

2017-07-31 15:16:14 UTC

@Tyrone Any news?

2017-07-31 15:54:16 UTC

I'm generating the document. A work issue has me busy. It will be reviewed and final info will be passed after that

2017-08-01 20:31:35 UTC

@everyone As of now, I have 8 vans for shuttle service and 1 for equipment. I need 9 dedicated drivers for each vehicle and to provide security for them during the event.

If anyone else has a van or large SUV and a driver to volunteer please reply here for planning purposes.

2017-08-02 14:51:34 UTC

@Tyrone For those staying alone, any shuttle services too and from events. Mainly trying to keep personal vehicle as secure as possible.

2017-08-02 15:58:12 UTC

@everyone If you are not staying in a large group start making friends through this server now.
Between now and Friday night everyone need to arrange to meet up and consolidate so that only FULL cars are meeting at Rally Point #1 (location to be released later).

This can either be at some of the larger houses or at the satellite parking location Rally Points (locations to be released on a later) or another place of your choosing. I don't particularly care. Just figure it out.

The reasons for this will make sense when the order is released. If you show up at RP#1 with just yourself in your vehicle you will have to park it there.

2017-08-02 18:08:35 UTC

I need people who will volunteer to be drivers/security for the shuttle vehicles to please tag me a message here or send a DM. @everyone

2017-08-02 18:32:45 UTC

What are the job requirements for security?

2017-08-02 18:40:38 UTC

Drivers double as security. Basically just make sure the Vans don't get fucked with.

2017-08-02 21:33:53 UTC

@Stannisthemannis Requirements:
Valid Drivers license
Suggested over 25 (for rentals, soft requirement)
Have sense enough to avoid confrontations
Can communicate on radio

2017-08-02 21:34:48 UTC

That's there is a chance the vehicles will be targeted. Primary goal is to avoid situations.

2017-08-04 01:11:19 UTC

@everyone If you driving/renting a 8-15 passenger van or large SUV and are offering it for shuttle service, please tag me in a message for this thread.

This includes those with prior contact. I need to finalize plans and confirm the numbers of vehicles that will be there next Friday.

2017-08-04 01:20:21 UTC

^ same for me pls, i need finalization

2017-08-04 01:20:26 UTC

I'll help with security. Not driving.

2017-08-04 02:09:07 UTC
2017-08-04 02:09:08 UTC

I take it I will be helping with security and then my other goy driving our vehicle.

2017-08-05 02:01:28 UTC

Will we be parking cars at the rally point and then use the shuttle to and from the event?

2017-08-05 02:01:35 UTC

There is a lot of info in the channel and I'm not quite sure

2017-08-05 02:15:05 UTC

@Rhodesiannaire - OH Here's the channel for volunteering for the shuttle service

2017-08-05 17:04:01 UTC

Hey I'm interested in volunteering. Is it an all day affair?

2017-08-05 17:05:02 UTC
2017-08-05 17:05:49 UTC

at least from about 0800 to 1800

2017-08-05 17:10:54 UTC

Does the rally end at 1800?

2017-08-05 17:12:59 UTC

no, but we will probably be shuttling peopel until then

2017-08-05 18:09:35 UTC

The be fair he's guessing worst case.

2017-08-05 20:00:14 UTC

Well, it doesn't matter in the end I guess because there's an after party.

2017-08-05 20:00:37 UTC

Consider me commited to being a driver

2017-08-05 20:00:41 UTC

Send me any info I need

2017-08-05 20:01:00 UTC

Glad to hear u can come out bud
