2018-01-10 07:51:45 UTC

Yeah that is doubtful. Look at any fact-checking they did on Hillary and see how true it actually is

2018-01-10 07:52:19 UTC

Still, I had to give up my reliance on supposed fact checkers

2018-01-10 07:52:20 UTC

They write almost an entire article on proving a statement true and then in their summary they say well there's this one little tiny bit that is not 100% accurate so the whole article is false

2018-01-10 07:52:46 UTC

The only fact checker I trust is myself also

2018-01-10 07:53:06 UTC

lol, i bought into too many falsehoods that I dont even know

2018-01-10 07:53:42 UTC

I used to be supportive of leftist policies until I learnt how they do not work.

2018-01-10 07:53:55 UTC

The blowback effect is humungous.

2018-01-10 07:54:08 UTC

Oh many leftist policies will work you just have to pay 200% more taxes

2018-01-10 07:54:33 UTC

Not to mention Bernie's idea of a one payer medical system. I would hate to see our tax level after that went into effect

2018-01-10 07:54:55 UTC

How does every other western nation manage to pull it off, then?

2018-01-10 07:55:12 UTC

Being really homogenous?

2018-01-10 07:55:20 UTC

Their medical system isn't as good as ours because there isn't any need for competition

2018-01-10 07:55:22 UTC

Culturally especially

2018-01-10 07:55:59 UTC

I mean, look at most european countries, most countries are mostly homogenous cuturally and ethnically.

2018-01-10 07:56:32 UTC

So, you're saying ethnostates work? <:hmkGrin:284219474440355840>

2018-01-10 07:56:46 UTC

In the US its not as easy to implement a one size fits all basically.

2018-01-10 07:57:27 UTC

Or comparing a US country with heaps of different demographics financially, culturally, and geographically.

2018-01-10 07:57:49 UTC

To a country thats mostly urbanized under one culture.

2018-01-10 07:57:55 UTC

Just look up some old Bernie videos before he went communist and he will explain it himself how the one payer medical system would essentially bankrupt America

2018-01-10 07:58:31 UTC

I'm not quite sure with what homogeneity has to do with anything...?

2018-01-10 07:58:35 UTC

I mean, dont get me wrong I think its nice to ensure that all of the citizens get healthcare, especially lifesaving or life altering ones like chemo or dentist work.

2018-01-10 07:59:38 UTC

But the man who lives his life without smoking or drinking will be taxed extra to compensate for the fatass who eats 5 big macs a meal and chugs down Mountain Dew like water.

2018-01-10 08:00:07 UTC

Why does a welfare system have to exist at all? Why does the government require us to provide charity when it would be more effective to be handled on a one-to-one basis?

2018-01-10 08:00:07 UTC

That's how health insurance works. The healthy subsidize the sick.

2018-01-10 08:00:24 UTC

But it does not make it right in their eyes.

2018-01-10 08:00:37 UTC

At least Health Insurance is an opt in system.

2018-01-10 08:00:44 UTC

But you cant opt out of taxes.

2018-01-10 08:01:17 UTC

And that is how you end up paying for everybody being sick is through taxes on a one payer system

2018-01-10 08:02:20 UTC

i mean, I cant blame anyone for being against giving up more of their income to compensate for another person's mistakes.

2018-01-10 08:02:53 UTC

We pay for fire service, though.

2018-01-10 08:02:55 UTC

And police.

2018-01-10 08:03:11 UTC

through local taxes

2018-01-10 08:03:13 UTC

Paying for someone else's mistakes when it comes to a fire starting is fine?

2018-01-10 08:03:14 UTC

not federal

2018-01-10 08:03:22 UTC

Why does that matter?

2018-01-10 08:03:39 UTC

a one payer would be another federal tax

2018-01-10 08:04:37 UTC

You're not having to also then give insurance companies money, though, since your health coverage comes through taxes. It's not like you're paying it through taxes and then also giving medical companies and hospitals boatloads of money.

2018-01-10 08:05:24 UTC

There's no such thing as being slapped with a medical bill that you have to spend the rest of your life paying off, because you have the audacity to actually get sick or hurt.

2018-01-10 08:05:54 UTC

I mean he has a point, the US medical system is a farce

2018-01-10 08:06:18 UTC

And well, we can also lump in alot of unfortunate circumstances, like car accidents or well, accidents in general

2018-01-10 08:06:23 UTC

https://youtu.be/kahCrnqqhAM Bernie Sanders saying 'Single payer Medicaid would bankrupt nation'

2018-01-10 08:06:27 UTC

with people who put themselves in said situations

2018-01-10 08:06:31 UTC

And you don't get cases of someone's insurance turning down their cancer treatment because she had acne as a teenager.

2018-01-10 08:06:58 UTC

So, arguing against socialized healthcare? I dont see why we are arguing

2018-01-10 08:07:12 UTC

ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

2018-01-10 08:07:39 UTC

What? I was talking about private insurance companies.

2018-01-10 08:07:54 UTC

Since they're for-profit.

2018-01-10 08:08:05 UTC

And the discussion started with how leftist policies tend to require more taxes to support

2018-01-10 08:08:22 UTC

And Kane used the example of Healthcare

2018-01-10 08:08:37 UTC

Yeah, I'm not denying that lol. I just think healthcare would be one of those things people wouldn't mind paying a bit extra in taxes for.

2018-01-10 08:08:40 UTC

was I false?

2018-01-10 08:08:58 UTC

maybe some but not all

2018-01-10 08:09:02 UTC

Well, I can see why, but I think most people jsut want to pay less in general.

2018-01-10 08:09:15 UTC

But thats just me, and it is wrong of me to assume the same of everyone.

2018-01-10 08:09:49 UTC

And well.. I was also trying to rationalize why people wouldnt be in support of well.. More taxes for healthcare

2018-01-10 08:09:57 UTC

I doubt there are people out there looking to pay the most for something just to pay more for the same

2018-01-10 08:10:13 UTC

I guess it would be if I trusted most people to be responsible healthy adults and the people running it to be efficient

2018-01-10 08:10:34 UTC

then ask yourself, is the government efficient?

2018-01-10 08:10:48 UTC

Lol, hell no

2018-01-10 08:10:58 UTC

Well, with very few exceptions

2018-01-10 08:11:04 UTC

No, of course not lol.

2018-01-10 08:11:05 UTC

I could name a few I considered efficient

2018-01-10 08:11:07 UTC

only those that trust the gov want to give their health over to them

2018-01-10 08:11:10 UTC

But thats only opinion

2018-01-10 08:11:30 UTC

I am curious, which?

2018-01-10 08:11:43 UTC

Actually just Singapore, but I am sure they have their issues as well

2018-01-10 08:12:09 UTC

Problem is, its a very tiny country, with well no notable physical exports.

2018-01-10 08:12:17 UTC

ah, but that would be because they are much smaller and can micromanage everything

2018-01-10 08:12:23 UTC

exactly.

2018-01-10 08:12:32 UTC

I don't like it, but frankly, I do think it would be slightly better than our healthcare system as it is right now.

2018-01-10 08:13:13 UTC

I mean, I am not american but Ill speak from what I assume would be my perspective if I were one

2018-01-10 08:13:41 UTC

So, you're in a country that does have it then?

2018-01-10 08:13:42 UTC

then everyone would be on the same level so the wait times would be very long for simple or complex prosedures

2018-01-10 08:13:47 UTC

Not at all.

2018-01-10 08:14:09 UTC

Wait times are a myth.

2018-01-10 08:14:11 UTC

We pay way less in taxes. But then thats also cause our govt does not do much for us.

2018-01-10 08:14:18 UTC

They're for elective procedures.

2018-01-10 08:14:28 UTC

If you need emergency care, you are going to get it.

2018-01-10 08:14:42 UTC

Is this just the US or something else?

2018-01-10 08:14:51 UTC

I mean, id like the context here

2018-01-10 08:14:52 UTC

I was speaking for the US, myself.

2018-01-10 08:14:55 UTC

Ah fair.

2018-01-10 08:15:13 UTC

I am pretty sure that the hospital does not put everyone on the same line

2018-01-10 08:15:15 UTC

well I hope so.

2018-01-10 08:15:23 UTC

Jaden's hypothetical medical system

2018-01-10 08:15:31 UTC

for one payer

2018-01-10 08:15:36 UTC

he didnt say anything about that situation

2018-01-10 08:15:44 UTC

And its hypothetical if we had one payer.

2018-01-10 08:15:59 UTC

One thing that contributes to the 'wait time' thing is the fact that so many illegal aliens go to the hospital and take up space in the ER, I think.

2018-01-10 08:16:11 UTC

But that happens here anyway as it is.

2018-01-10 08:16:17 UTC

Cali?

2018-01-10 08:16:22 UTC

yes emergency care would be top priority but look at canada and how they come down here for HC

2018-01-10 08:16:36 UTC

Hmm, I guess its a hope that more taxes would make the system more efficient.

2018-01-10 08:16:52 UTC

that is a liberal point of view

2018-01-10 08:16:53 UTC

But we are more worried of the money being used on treatment rather than improving what you guys got.

2018-01-10 08:17:35 UTC

the only thing we go to the US for is cosmetic and experimental treatment lol

2018-01-10 08:17:37 UTC

and the left is where you find most of the liberals so again we prove the left is not cost effective ๐Ÿ˜‰

2018-01-10 08:17:50 UTC

To be honest, I am not certain in terms of efficiency, but the fact is no one really brings it up in the US except for a select few. They would rather just let people go bankrupt trying to pay for medical expenses themselves.

2018-01-10 08:17:51 UTC

up here, cosmetic surgeries that have nothing to do with health or life have a wait time

2018-01-10 08:18:59 UTC

for example, people that want their tonsils and adenoids taken out for the soul reason that they just want them out, have a wait time, whereas myself, I had no wait time because the infection they were harboring in my face was slowly rotting my face. In this case, I was in within the week.
