Not at all.
Wait times are a myth.
We pay way less in taxes. But then thats also cause our govt does not do much for us.
They're for elective procedures.
If you need emergency care, you are going to get it.
Is this just the US or something else?
I mean, id like the context here
I was speaking for the US, myself.
Ah fair.
I am pretty sure that the hospital does not put everyone on the same line
well I hope so.
Jaden's hypothetical medical system
for one payer
he didnt say anything about that situation
And its hypothetical if we had one payer.
One thing that contributes to the 'wait time' thing is the fact that so many illegal aliens go to the hospital and take up space in the ER, I think.
But that happens here anyway as it is.
Cali?
yes emergency care would be top priority but look at canada and how they come down here for HC
Hmm, I guess its a hope that more taxes would make the system more efficient.
But we are more worried of the money being used on treatment rather than improving what you guys got.
the only thing we go to the US for is cosmetic and experimental treatment lol
and the left is where you find most of the liberals so again we prove the left is not cost effective π
To be honest, I am not certain in terms of efficiency, but the fact is no one really brings it up in the US except for a select few. They would rather just let people go bankrupt trying to pay for medical expenses themselves.
up here, cosmetic surgeries that have nothing to do with health or life have a wait time
for example, people that want their tonsils and adenoids taken out for the soul reason that they just want them out, have a wait time, whereas myself, I had no wait time because the infection they were harboring in my face was slowly rotting my face. In this case, I was in within the week.
I mean, the same in NZ, my dad would complain about the Chinese nationals who come to NZ for the free treatment. I was one of the chinese who got a PR, but even my Dad does not want the free treatment. Id be lying if I said I didnt feel the same.
Up to 45,000 people a year in the US die from a lack of healthcare, according to a 2009 study.
Do you know what that number is in Canada? 0.
The number in France? 0.
The number in the UK? 0.
The list goes on.
And that is in 2009. I don't know what the number is today. Could be higher, could be lower.
How much of that can be blamed on the government's management of healthcare
As it is right now the government doesn't manage any of it, to my knowledge. Our healthcare is privatized.
and compare the size diffferences in those countries vs the US
Hmm reminds me of that writer actually
You guys heard of ahh fuck
Sirname was Cook
cant remember his first name, but it was like John or James, criminal thriller writer
Was a doctor so most of his writings were based on conspiracies around the US medical system
I tihnk it was james Cook
The population as a whole shouldn't matter, since a bigger population would -in theory- give a proportionate amount in taxes. The issue here is people on welfare/jobless, and illegals who avoid paying taxes.
