@Oscar ID , @Jack AZ , @Alexander PA , @Vincent TX , and @PC - Jesse CO have not completed their weekly edits. We have until Suday to meet our individual quotas
I won't be able to this week. I'm stuck in a man camp in New Mexico for work. Internet is hard to come by.
What is a "man camp"?
did you get got?
Haha no it's like a hotel in places there are no hotels. Just metal buildings for you to stay in with beds and showers. For guys that have to work in the middle of nowhere for extended periods of time.
I will not be able to for other reasons. Cutting stickers :grimacing:

I'm having issues unziping downloaded .zip files from MEGA. The folders seem to contain lots of video and it makes the .zip files several GB in size. When the .zip file is unzipped it creates a .cpgz file and when I try to unzip that it gives me another .zip, round and round in a circle.
I tried two suggestions from the web, one was using the OS terminal to command unzip the file but it said the file was incomplete or corrupted. Another suggestion was to download the Unarchiver app but the privacy policy seemed unsecure for our purposes so I didn't follow through with that.
Unfortunately I already deleted the HamptonVA action folder from MEGA so we might lose that event
Have any of you run into similar problems before?
@Ben MD If you go to MEGA and look in your "Rubbish Bin", assuming you haven't cleared it out, you should be able to find the files for the action.
Good to know. thank you
Fortunately Sam still had it in his MEGA folder so I could get it from there.

@Ben MD See how the shadows on the red are way darker than the shadows on the blue? Gotta go to Image > Adjustments > Exposure > Offset and push it right to lighten that up.

Hey so I created a mega profile but didn't get the link for the edits folder
disregard... i'm an idiot
@PC - Jesse CO We should start making some speech quote graphics. A ton of rhetorical value goes into our speeches and yet we only get one run out of it. We should make our content work harder for us. I will post some examples.
Even Fuentes does something similar to this with basic templates, good way to recycle soundbytes:
@PC - Jesse CO Think someone could try their hand at making a few of these?
I’ll give it a go, but I’m out of town until Sunday night. I’ll give some a go when I get back
𝗋 𝖾 𝗆 𝗈 𝗇 𝗌 𝗍 𝗋 𝖺 𝗍 𝗂 𝗈 𝗇 .
I already have some good quotes that would be good on something like this
I feel like something good could be done with the line "Our resistance to the destruction of our people will be absolute."
"No other alternatives"
"It will be no easier to save this national than it was to make it"
"He who will not face tyranny will be crushed by it"
There's tons of great quips from speeches and such.
Of course I'm biased, but still.

How do you get the number at the bottom of the list to appear different?
Surround it with that character left of the number one button (top-left of your keyboard)
I also wrote a simple app that writes the post I just made with the file names and total count. I'd be happy to share that app if anyone wants it. It probably only works on Windows.

Just put this exe in the folder along with just your completed images. Run it when you're done, and it should make a text file with your RC post.
Is there a way for me to zoom in a picture as then crop it to the proper scale? I have a group of pictures where it's a bit far away so the stickers are pretty small
Using Gimp
Ben we just throw those out.
People need to take proper pictures. Picture quality is not something we want to sacrifice to make a bad picture work.
It shouldn't have been uploaded to mega actually
Sometimes I'll try to go above and beyond to rescue those. I wouldn't upscale any images though.
It's certainly doable, but typically requires upscaling which results in poorer quality due to pixelation.
Reason being if people take bad pictures and we edit and upload them it means people don't have to follow the guides we set for standards. Don't enable bad habits.
Ok well I don't know how to upscale so I'll skip them. Do I need to document which ones they were or anything, or just toss them?
Just toss em
Alright

There IS a red color code for graphics, but for photos the red is whatever is in the image.
Under the "colors" menu for that red layer, there's three tools I use to change the red. I start with "Saturation", then if more editing is needed, I try "Hue-Chroma" and "Color Temperature". You'll get the hang of what sliders affect what aspects of the image. Sometimes, I have to select some parts of the red layer for modification if the red isn't very consistent. I can then use those three tools on just that one part of the red layer.
Alright thanks, I'll mess around with it more
