I dont ever do sit ups unless I'm taking a PT test
I can do plenty of sit ups to pass, because of the work my abs do keeping my trunk rigid when I'm squatting
The belt probably won't help you on dead lift unless you have a really long torso. It will more likely get in your way and make it very difficult to set your stance. I have a realtively long torso and can't set my stance with my belt on

I can also do L pull ups
My roommate (6'3", 185) was like "dude, you can't get your core strong enough to do L pull ups unless you do sit ups and hell wheels. I know about core strength, I'm an athletc trai..."
