I still have to learn the skill tree thing
initially didn't like the change to making more skills 'purchaseable' but they've done a good job of staging them, in that you have to sometimes have prerequisites of other skills before you can purchase the other ones
also means you can customise your skillset further
and you still can earn skill points for a certain skillset simply by using tools associated with that skillset
