I assume I violated the rules, and if so, why would verifying a phone number let you back in?

2018-03-29 22:21:02 UTC

Burner phones are $5 at Home Depot

2018-03-29 22:21:19 UTC

Maybe that’s my next step

2018-03-29 22:22:06 UTC

You can get one that has a certain amount of texts/calls. Just have one in your closet, and only use it to verify various accounts

2018-03-29 22:25:39 UTC

So even if the app is on your main phone you can still just use the verification info off the burner right?

2018-03-29 22:30:16 UTC

Idk, I've never not used a burner

2018-03-30 05:18:11 UTC

Yes.

2018-03-30 15:10:20 UTC

Thanks, I’m boomer tier tech functional

2018-04-01 19:28:58 UTC

Would you guys be interested in me writing up a guide on how to properly use a VPN? Would include specific information on Teredo, WebRTC and some weird specific MS Windows DNS stuff that has to be disabled as well as IPV6 for a VPN to properly function. You can't just turn it on have it work seamlessly. @everyone

2018-04-01 19:29:10 UTC

Would be windows specific and specific to Win10

2018-04-01 19:29:39 UTC

Absolutely

2018-04-01 19:33:01 UTC

Yes. If adaptable to Windows 7, also good.

2018-04-01 19:38:34 UTC

Ok. I'll look into the win7 bits and make 2 guides

2018-04-01 20:15:07 UTC

You're the best pup around! @Deleted User

2018-04-01 20:22:33 UTC

Lol ty

2018-04-01 21:36:00 UTC

Truly man's best friend

2018-04-01 21:38:46 UTC

@Deleted User that sounds awesome.

2018-04-01 23:00:18 UTC

So this isn’t an April fools joke?

2018-04-01 23:08:05 UTC

@Deleted User can you do something that’s applicable to Mac as well

2018-04-01 23:22:40 UTC

@Zyzz maybe. Mac is very different from Windows. I'll look into it

2018-04-02 00:23:47 UTC

@Ben - OH well, some of us are technology retarded.😂 I'm like a boomer when it comes to tech. Haha

2018-04-04 17:38:55 UTC

Good Win10 is such a pile of garbage. From a normie user perspective it isn't bad, but from any technical or development or mass deployment perspective its absolutely awful (much worse than Vista)

2018-04-05 14:11:57 UTC

Going back to the burner phone discussion... Can anyone point me in the direction of such a phone/service provider? What I'm mostly seeing requires a monthly plan--which is unnecessary. Just a basic text/call-only phone with a certain number of texts/minutes that don't expire would be ideal.

2018-04-05 14:35:41 UTC

@Argument of Perigee the mall or Home Depot. Walmart, too

2018-04-05 14:36:18 UTC

I'll check out Walmart. Neither my Lowes nor Home Depot carried phones.

2018-04-05 14:46:29 UTC

Weird. Does Colorado not have many Mexicans?

2018-04-05 14:53:17 UTC

Haha, a good number there actually. I'm in Iowa staying with my family for a while at the moment though--great R&R in the rural Midwest.

2018-04-05 15:22:36 UTC

Actually, I would expect a lot of Mexicans in Colorado. It never really got conquista'd, and I know a guy whose best friend got murdered by some Mexicans in Boulder

2018-04-05 18:45:42 UTC

Is anybody here in IT networking or security?

2018-04-05 19:46:19 UTC

Yeah

2018-04-07 04:43:09 UTC

Att go phone. Prepaid sims. Got mine at goodwill, came in a piece of luggage I bought, no paper trail. Lol

2018-04-07 05:08:41 UTC

I was looking at that and the T-Mobile version as possibilities.

2018-04-07 05:09:16 UTC

The Burner App I just learned about seems like a valid possibility too.

2018-04-12 16:33:15 UTC

Does anyone here have any experience with old MFC/AFX? I'm modernizing some software and running into a really weird issue. Everytime I try to build my VS solution I get an error stating VS is missing 'hcw' and this is somehow tied to an .hpj file for my project
