I wish I could find a role like that. Here it is so competitive that you can't find a Jr system admin or security spot.
Forever IT Support š
It's basically the same way here. I spent a lot of time with my thumb up my ass while applying for jobs before I landed this job.
@Deleted User I would also be interested in the job description when you have it. Youāre in Pennsylvania, right?
@NuclearReactionary yes, Wampum PA
Pay would be around 35k-40k to start with healthcare
@Deleted User hey try ziprecruiter, the first one is free!
I think you might have to use Rush as a code
I'm having the most annoying bug with Fedora. 5.37 no irq handler for vector upon resume from suspend, no internet until I reboot. At first I thought adding `noapic` to kernel parameters fixed, then I removed that and it still worked, then just now it started happening again, so I put `noapic` back, and it doesn't fix it this time. It feels like I'm the only one with this problem. I can't imagine having to switch distros over one issue, but not being able to suspend and resume the machine really is a big deal. If anyone @here has any ideas, please let me know.
Ok can someone redbar me on what happens when twitter ālocksā you out of your account and you have to enter a phone number to get back in? I have a sock email for twitter but I used my real cell number to get back in, then I went in and deleted my phone number from my twitter acct. Iām wondering if someone can still see/find it?
I assume I violated the rules, and if so, why would verifying a phone number let you back in?
Burner phones are $5 at Home Depot
Maybe thatās my next step
You can get one that has a certain amount of texts/calls. Just have one in your closet, and only use it to verify various accounts
So even if the app is on your main phone you can still just use the verification info off the burner right?
Idk, I've never not used a burner
Yes.
Thanks, Iām boomer tier tech functional
Would you guys be interested in me writing up a guide on how to properly use a VPN? Would include specific information on Teredo, WebRTC and some weird specific MS Windows DNS stuff that has to be disabled as well as IPV6 for a VPN to properly function. You can't just turn it on have it work seamlessly. @everyone
Would be windows specific and specific to Win10
Yes. If adaptable to Windows 7, also good.
Ok. I'll look into the win7 bits and make 2 guides
You're the best pup around! @Deleted User
Lol ty
Truly man's best friend
@Deleted User that sounds awesome.
So this isnāt an April fools joke?
@Deleted User can you do something thatās applicable to Mac as well
@Zyzz maybe. Mac is very different from Windows. I'll look into it
@Ben - OH well, some of us are technology retarded.š I'm like a boomer when it comes to tech. Haha
Good Win10 is such a pile of garbage. From a normie user perspective it isn't bad, but from any technical or development or mass deployment perspective its absolutely awful (much worse than Vista)
Going back to the burner phone discussion... Can anyone point me in the direction of such a phone/service provider? What I'm mostly seeing requires a monthly plan--which is unnecessary. Just a basic text/call-only phone with a certain number of texts/minutes that don't expire would be ideal.
@Argument of Perigee the mall or Home Depot. Walmart, too
I'll check out Walmart. Neither my Lowes nor Home Depot carried phones.
Weird. Does Colorado not have many Mexicans?
Haha, a good number there actually. I'm in Iowa staying with my family for a while at the moment though--great R&R in the rural Midwest.
Actually, I would expect a lot of Mexicans in Colorado. It never really got conquista'd, and I know a guy whose best friend got murdered by some Mexicans in Boulder
Is anybody here in IT networking or security?
Yeah
