It's pronounced Flea, it's a fraternity inside the IBEW that slows things down @Rogue
They mostly are travelers. Because of that, they're a great source of knowledge about other halls
For real, though. I thought FLEs were some kind of big thing
Never heard of 'em
I'm taking classes through the union, too. We had a history section. Don't remember anything about FLEs. haha
Apparently it was formed right after Miller died
Should I be concerned with a buzzing noise from my fuse box? It's fairly audible from couple feet away. I just noticed it incidentally.
It's only a buzzing sound and eventually, it is not detectible if I walk far enough away.
Actual fuses or breakers?
@John O - My elderly, White father-in-law stopped by and took a look. He said it was just the transformer making noise, which was normal and nothing to worry about.
Transformers are outside the house
He may have misnamed it or I might be misspeaking, but he is pretty good as far as DIY handymen go and advised me not to worry.
Thanks, though!
Can anyone give advice on cleaning refrigerator condenser coils?
<@&435155897363202058> ^^
Not much to it really, I do my garage/beer fridge once a year if I remember, I usually just unplug it, slide it away from the wall, and go over it with the shop vac brush attachment. Donโt go crazy and bend the coil or cooling fins, other than that itโs pretty straightforward tbh.
@apronandlace If you are really worried about it, and have the capability to do a wet clean, you could try WEB Condenser Coil Cleaner (sold at Home Depot, etc.). You spray it on, it foams up, you rinse it off. I used some on my truck's condenser and it worked OK. They claim it's safe for pets and biodegradeable, but you would want to unplug the appliance, have plenty of fresh air moving thru, and wear gloves and eye protection.
And avoid painted surfaces
thanks. i think it went well. I got a fridge coil brush and unplugged the fridge was gentle and did get a lot of dog hair out of there from the previous homeowner's dog.
What was the fridge doing that made you look at the coil?
just read that you're supposed to clean the condenser coils every six months to keep the fridge working well
I have a fridge that's working a bit TOO well in the winter months
Set to 4/9 with 9/9 being coldest, it freezes up the food...so I set it to 1/9
The company I work for is hiring Wind Turbine Technicians. DM me for more details. <@&435155897363202058>
